Why are they having...

At Disneyland? I checked the schedule and didn't see anything. I don't think the parades/shows are starting until September 15th, when their Halloween season kicks off.

Edited: Actually, I don't even think they have Halloween related shows/parades during normal park hours, only during MHPs. I know they're starting to get Halloween merchandise in already, though.

Oh, not at DL? Than it must just be at WDW. It does seem weird though. DIS just posted videos of parades and, etc on YT for Halloween.

Ah, yep those were from WDW. Florida starts their Halloween parties (MNSSHP) wayyy in advance of Halloween. First party was last Friday and they continue all through Sept. and Oct. Disneyland gets a "late" start on the Halloween parties (MHP) and starts the last couple weekends in Sept.

Halloween decor shouldn't be in full swing until around Sept. 15th, but merchandise is slowly creeping in.

Does WDW normally start their Halloween event this early? If so, I guess I never really never noticed. Hmm.

Typically they start after Labor Day (but still always earlier than DL). This is even earlier than normal.

My walmart has Christmas ornaments out... OY!
We went to the MK in WDW last Wednesday and Main Street was all pumpkin'd up. It was 95 freaking degrees and 95% humidity and the place was decorated with pumpkins and fall leaves.

HAHAHA that reminds me, I got our family's annual Christmas ornament for this year at the thrift shop this past week... they were getting out all the seasonal decor... yeah, last year's MIB Hallmark ornaments were in the basket...

Disney stock has taken a hit this year and attendance is down, so bumping the Halloween party into August nudges up the books for FY 2017. Also the Food and Wine festival expanded into August, as well. Both events will give the parks a boost in what is normally a slow-down period.

Look again at the stock reports....been waiting years for a "hit" to the stock!!!!!!
---apparently there are some who would go to a Halloween party in August.....me? not so much!!!
