Why are they asking for addresses for each person staying in the room?

I just made a reservation for December at WLV and we have 6 people from 3 different households staying in the room. Member services asked me for the address of each household, why would they want to know that? When I asked because the same six people went this past December and they did not ask for that information, they said they were checking id for everyone. If that is the case, that can be a problem, why would they want the whole party standing in line to check in? I was the only one in line previously while everyone else waited with the baby, stroller, diaper bag.

While Disney probably uses it for marketing and demographics, I think it is also a Homeland Security recommendation. They won't check everyone's ID, but may do so if the "security" is bumped to another level. Like they have more security at airports for "Level Orange" than at "Level Yellow."
