Why are Lamplight Lounge reservations so hard to get?

I actually do have a reservation! Lunch on Christmas Day. Picked it up at random. I’m not sure I want to keep it, so I was wondering what all the fuss was about.
Oh lol I see. Well the fuss is because of many factors, some probably won’t apply to you- all bars in DCA are crowded during peak times, the Cove bar was incredibly popular and you can still get many of the drinks and the famous lobster nachos from the Cove Bar, lots of ppl want to check out the decorations & also anything new. Doesn’t sound like that stuff matters much to you. I will say that the food & drink are really good and the views of the pier over the water outside are great and the themed tables inside are adorable. We have been 3 times and keep coming back because we are addicted to those potato skins. The burger, the malted French fries, the potato skins, lobsterless nachos (you can do other meats, no meat, even fake meat sometimes if lobster isn’t your jam or the reviews of it being fishy lately got you turned off), fresh donuts with dipping sauces, and all of the drinks have been great every time we have gone. It IS a bit pricey but only you are going to know if the food, drinks & atmosphere are worth it for you. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to keep your reservation :)

We don't do it. We didn't do Cove Bar either. The food is too pricey, the décor is too Applebee's, and the wait is too long. But mostly, the locals go there because it's simply a cool bar scene to post on their wall. If you're going to Disney as a Disney tourist, it ain't worth it. IMHO
