Why am I having so much trouble with my pin??

I received a pin in my email which reads;

I try and click the Book Now link, and it takes me to a page and asks me to enter my surname and my postcode, which I do, and it now says;

We were unable to retrieve your offer. Please contact the reservation center for assistance at (407) 939-7607. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

So I call the above number, (and this is where I think the problem starts) I tell them that I have a reservation already, but would like to check if this deal saves me money.

The lady I spoke to here put me through to Grand Gatherings - because we are currently booked through our wedding discount, I get through to grand gatherings and they tell me I need to check the price difference with the person I originally booked through.

So I emailed him, and he replies telling me that he can't do anything with the pin :headache:

Do I really have to go through this all again?!?!

Where am I going wrong, and what do you suggest doing differently next time??

Sorry, my rant was so long, but it's so frustrating, especially because these are all international phone calls that aren't getting me anywhere!
 
Bec, my advice is to just call straight to the number given to you by the pin, then see what the prices are there, if they are better, book that offer, then call your wedding booking specialist, cancel the old booking and give him your new reservation number to include on your room block count.

The wedding reservation guys can't do discounts that aren't the 10% for the wedding, so they won't be able to book the pin for you even if it is a better deal anyway.
 
I would just call and book the same room and cancel the first reservation. There's probably some glitch because the 10% discount would have to be removed before applying the new discount. Could it be there is no availability left at the resort you are staying at? There has to be the same room/type available in order to get the discount. They just can't add it to your room, esp if that room is not available under the pin discount. Not all catagories are discounted during a Disney "Sale" (Pin). If you are flexible you may be able to get into a different resort or different catagory of room at your current resort.

Did you ever get your reservation sorted out with the new pin?

I need to make reservations with the wedding discount for family but would also like to change to any new discounts that may come out. I might just make a regular reservation and switch it to the weddings discount if no other offers pop up if its too difficult to switch the other way.

Please let me know if you were able to get your discount.

No! No luck at all! Is there a pulling your hair out smiley? Because that's what I need right now.

I called the number on the email and was once again given the run around. They kept telling me I had to call the wedding department to make any changes, I kept saying "But they said they can't do anything with the pin" so they'd say "Neither can we" :confused3:headache::headache:

Why is this so hard?!? :mad: I even asked the CM if I called back and when asked if I had an existing reservation answer no, if someone would be able to give me a price, and she just repeated that they couldn't make any changes :sad2:

I don't get it... I'm about to give up...
