Ok I have been teary eyed and crying all throughout the day today as well as tears at the drop of a hat for no reason at all for the past 2 weeks.. I have NO clue why.. :confused3 Is there anyone else out there with roller coaster emotions for no reason?? I normally never cry especially like this. I will try and narrow it down a little so to maybe get a better explantion for this.

I'm not pregnant
It's not THAT time of the month
I do not work
I'm really not under any stress
We have a cruise coming up in January that I'm really looking forward to
Hubby and I are not having any problems

I just don't get it.... :guilty:

It's gotta be the holidays. Or even if you're not pregnant or PMS'ing it could just be some other kind of hormone swing. Just try to take it easy. Take a bubble bath, watch a sad movie on tv, have a cup of tea or glass of wine, you'll feel better in the morning for sure!

Everybody has those days, I know I do!

Have you ever heard of SAD? Seasonal Affective Disorder. I have it and boy it really can be crazy at times. It really kicks into gear in Dec. until spring. Last year we took a cruise in Feb WOW that really helped. This year we are going in Jan.

are you on bcp? i used to cry for no reason on them all the time. i'd be fine one minute, next minute crying like crazy. it was really weird. since i stopped though, no crying out of the blue.

:confused3 How old are you sweetie?? Just think happy thoughts and
have a Merry Christmas. Shirley

Knowing your age, whether this tends to happen every winter, at least to some degree, etc would help.

I tend to get a little weepy sometimes. Not too dramatic, but they seem to be influenced by hormonal changes.

Are you on any medication? Some medications can cause a person to be more emotional.

One of the things that I tried for a migraine preventative was nortryptaline (sp). In higher doses it's an anti-depressent and I was kind of excited about trying it out for the migraines. I figured that it might help the migraines and it would be interesting to see how it helped my moods (I'm not depressed, but who couldn't use a little cheering up... :teeth: ). That stuff sent me into a tailspin--made me VERY weepy, moody and depressed. Funny, but today I was just going over the various things I've tried for migraine prevention with my neurologist and when he came to nortryptaline we both got a good laugh. No way am I ever trying that or any other drug in that class again.

32, what can i say? I am psychic. ( AKA looking at a person's profile)

You so totally rock, DUDE! :rotfl:

What meds are you taking? I just started taking a new med for my hurt ankle and it threw me into a horrid depression. The only other time I have been like that was right after someone I loved passed away or I was pregnant.

Hugs! Hope you feel better soon. :)

I was like that just last month! I went to Dr's thinking I had the flu, couldn't stop crying etc. They did bloodwork but thought it was flu ( I had the flu shot 10 days b4) come to find out, I was highly anemic (sp?) If it keeps up get come blood drawn just to be on the safe side.

Could it be that something is/has been on your mind that is troubling you and you dismissed it or just didn't think much about it? Holidays magnify things that are important to us. Add deadline shopping/cooking/cleaning stress to the mix and it can get to you!

Have you gotten teary before around Christmas? It's not always, "ho ho ho"!

Sometimes just writing your ideas down in a free flow manner will help you get to the root of things.

I am feeling terribly overwhelmed by the holidays this year....it's making me a CRAB! Maybe that is all it is for you, too..... :wizard:

Thanks Everyone for the well wishes and hugs !!

No, I'm not on any meds at all, not even BCP..

Yes, you are correct I'm 32 almost 33..

Maybe it is just the holidays because this is the first year that no one really showed an interest in Christmas.. harder to shop for.. :confused3

Thanks Again
:teeth:

These things tend to happen to people in NJ :teeth: . Hope you are feeling better soon! :sunny:

I coulda written this post... I have been having the same thing, crying at the drop of a hat. It's pretty sad when you cry at soap operas! No reasons for it, just am. Weird!

I'm drowning in a sea of red ink and it gets to me sometimes. I keep working and trying but I do break down from time to time.

It's the holidays combined with stress I think. You may not feel stressed but I bet that some of it is there for you too.
