WHOSE Luckier than me?! The January TR!&March PTR!**LINK TO NEW TR IS UP!!**

Great day at the aquarium. I take the kids down to the Jenkinson's aquarium in Pt. Pleasant but it is definitely smaller than the one you were at. It looks quite nice!

How awesome your mom was able to fix your sweater!

Our aquarium has gotten a lot bigger since it opened about 8 or so years ago. They have a lot of cool things!!

I'm so happy that my mom fixed my sweater! I still have to take some pictures and post them!

Day 6 part 1

DD and I got up early to head to MK for EMH! The boys had decided to sleep late that day. So it was a girl’s morning out!

We wanted to get to MK for EMH opening and would have made it too BUT…

We went down to the boat dock and waited there was only one other family in front of us. We waited about 10 minutes. Still would have made it in time for opening. The boat pulled up and started to dock, no such luck. The guy made another pass, no such luck, and another pass, and another. I swear he tried like 10 times! The guy driving was a trainee, his trainer wasn’t doing a very good job of training him! Me and the lady in front of us talked about going out and grabbing the boat when he got close! We waited at least 20 minutes while the guy tried and tried again! OMG! It was so annoying!

Taken from the dock while we waited...

While we waited we could hear the opening ceremony off in the distance. That was a bit disappointing!

By the time he docked and we got on there was a HUGE line behind us. Of course, the boat was one of the smaller open boats so there wasn’t too much room for everyone. We packed on and were off, finally.

When we got to MK I prayed to god that the docking wouldn’t take another 20 minutes! Luckily he got it on the second try!

I had picked the seats so I knew that where DD and I were seated we’d be the first ones off. So, off and in we went. We breezed through security and the turnstiles and headed up main street!

We stopped along the way to have our pictures taken!!

Not the best picture ever taken of me but still cute

Magic shoot! Our very first ever!!

First stop, Tomorrowland and Buzz Lightyear!! We walked right in and on. I don’t remember what we scored but I know that we didn’t all that great and it didn’t matter! We had fun no matter what!

After that it was off to TTA. I tried to convince DD that we should skip it and come back later when the park was more crowded and do something that usually has a line. But she wanted to do it. So up we went!

Along the way I took some pictures!

construction in Tomorrowland!

After TTA DD stopped to have me take this picture

Then we headed toward Fantasyland!

Along the way DH called and said they were up and getting ready. DH and I decided he would call when they were getting off the boat on the MK side and we would meet for breakfast at the Main street bakery.

Into Fantasyland DD and I went!! DD decided we should see PhilHarMagic. You don’t have to twist my arm for that! It’s one of my favorite things!

After PhilHarMagic DD wanted to make a stop in Tinker Belle’s Treasures. Don’t you know I think this was the only time we ever been in shop in WDW not bought a single thing! I was very proud of DD!

When we came out the Fairy Godmother was greeting guests behind the castle!

I took a few more pictures around the area,

We walked into the castle to take a few pictures

and my phone rang! DH and the boys were at the MK dock! I took few more pictures,

and we headed to the bakery!

Awww how cute isa girl's only morning?! :cutie: I absolutely LOVE your DD's hoodie and headband! OMG I want them both for myself!

My tummy is growling just thinking about breakfast at the Main Street Bakery! :goodvibes

Great update Melissa, sounds like you and your DD had a wonderful morning together!

Small update non-trip and non-PT

My parents are here from PA for a few days while the kiddos are off of school. My Mom is very talented. She sews, quilts, knits, etc, etc, etc. SHE FIXED MY SWEATER!! The one I bought in January in Keystone Clothier that the dog put 2 giant holes in!! I called WDW Merchandising the other day to see if I order a new one and their backordered. The girl I spoke to said that it doesn't say they've been discontinued so to call back in 4 weeks to see if they got more. I told her I would be there in 4 weeks so I'd keep an eye out!

My mom knew I was upset about it and she fixed it! Yiippeeee!!

:goodvibes Got to love Mom!
Your pictures with your DD are so magical awesome.
What is the name of the aquarium?
We have the aquarium in NJ. I love going to aquariums!

We had fun! Our last 2 trips we've had some Mommy/daughter time. Last trip on her birthday we went out to breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, went to Bippidi Boppidi Boutique and did so stuff in MK. It was a lot of fun! It's very magical to get to spend some alone time in WDW with the kiddos! She wants to know when we can take a whole trip just us! LOL!!!

She's such a little fashion diva! She picked both out for herself!

Breakfast at Main Street Bakery is yummy!!!!

 I definitely love my Mom! You can hardly even tell there were 2 huge holes in the sweater!!

It's Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead, NY. It's a lot of fun to go to!

A few things I wanted to share before getting to the TR update!!

First, I wanted to share my wonderful new bag! I got it with my Disney Movie Rewards points! I paid not 1 single penny for it!

It's a messenger bag and it's a pretty good size! It will be perfect for the next time we go to WDW with the kiddos!

Second
, My funny baby! He loves to show off and is a giant ham! He also LOVES winnie the pooh! So, here's a video I took this morning of
Ryan singing "Winnie the Pooh"

Last, 30 more days until our anniversary trip!!! Yipppeeeee!!! I'm still freaking out a bit!

TR update coming soon!

Wow, love your new bag! And Ryan is so cuteeeee singing Winnie the Pooh, I could just eat him all up :cutie:

Wow, love your new bag! And Ryan is so cuteeeee singing Winnie the Pooh, I could just eat him all up :cutie:

I'm really happy with the bag, especially because it was free! Ryan is too much and of course we think he's the cutest thing since his brother and sister!!

Ryan is so cute...I think he is ready for the American Idol Experience!

Thanks!! We think he's pretty cute too! LOL! I definitely agree, he's ready for AIE! He's definitely better then some of the people who try out for the show!

Melissa......Loving your TR and the pictures are great.
Mommy and me time is so special. Those are moments that can never be re-captured. Your daughter is so pretty and I loved her jacket.

Ryan is adorable it truly does make me miss my sons being that little. Anytime you want to share him call me and I'll come get him. I loved hearing him singing Winnie the POOH. Even though he had a little help with his back up singers.

The purse is neat and even neater knowing it didn't cost you anything.

I love going to the aquarium and when my sons were little we had annual passes and would make a day of it. There is just something about watching the fishes that was fascinating.

Ok, finally all caught up. I had got behind, and then more behind and so on and so on. So tonight I got my two sicko kids (part of the reason for getting behind) in bed and here I sat to read the five pages I was behind on. Wow, five pages behind, sorry. I'm still here, excited to be reading your TR and ptr.

Ok, so first things first, OT from your TR, but something you commented on. The Bachelor, I don't typically watch it either, and I also got hooked in this season. For me it was because he is a dad. So I was so curious to see how the whole single dad thing would come into play.

Next, also OT, I don't know if I skipped over, I skim the convo stuff between you and others. How are you doing, feeling, etc?

30 days away from your next WDW trip

Your family pics at WL turned out Very Cute. I liked the ones outside best, but that is partially cause I really enjoy the nature type photos lately.

I really want to see a pic of that sweater now, especially since its all fixed now. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that sweater your DD is wearing on your morning together at MK. What a fun time, mother daughter morning together. How sweet. The picture of her with the alien (forget the name) from stitch is so cute. Oh and the one with fairy godmother, super cute too.

Love the picture of baby DS with the oreos on his face. LOL.

Ok, I think that is all, can't wait to read more popcorn::

Thanks Vickey!! We had a great time that morning and I have to tell you it was a heck of a lot easier then with 3 other people! She picked that jakcet out all by herself and paid for it with her own $. I think in the store outside of Indiana Jones.

There's a line of people who would take Ryan off my hands for a few hours! Of course Grandma gets first dibs. She may need a halping hand in a few weeks when DH and I in WDW though!!

This was the first time I took Ryan to the aquarium that he was actually interested in what he was seeing. He kept pointing at the fish tanks and saying "Bird! Bird!" LOL!! I tried to get him to say fish but had no luck. Then when we saw the penguins he wouldn't say bird. Maybe because they doen't fly and the fish look like their flying in the water :confused3

I hope the kiddos are feeling better! I've been way behind on my subscriptions too! There's just so much going on! I have hardly anything together for the trip :scared1: I may hit CVS later for a few things and pull out the clothes.

I'm feeling very good! Thanks for asking! I go to the endocrinologist tomorrow morning so we'll see what he says! YIKES!

I'll definitely take a picture of the sweater in today and post it in the next update.

DD and I had a great time that morning! It was a lot of fun! Ryan is a huge Oreo fan and he gets very messy when he eats them! It's too funny!

I'll be back later with an update!

Before I start my TR update I wanted to finally share pictures of the famous/infamous sweater!

You can kind of make out where the hole was to the right of the third button up from the bottom.

Blurry picture (sorry) of where the hole was. You can make out the bite marks on the button too. This picture actually makes it look a lot worse then it actually looks. You can't notice it unless your looking for it!

Ok, no onto the trip!

Day 6 part 2!

DD and I met DH and the boys outside of the bakery :cloud9: DH decided to get over to get fastpass for buzz so we could ride after breakfast. We decided we'd meet outside hoping to get s seat over by the Ice Cream place. He took Ryan and I took the older kiddos into the bakery.

The line was pretty long. Just about to the door when we got on. But it moved pretty fast. When we got futher up the line I looked at the menu on the wall and noticed something that made my Disney day! it said LATTE! :dance3: Ok, so my sister calls me the coffee nazi. I can't do yucky coffee. I can't do the coffe my mom has stored in the cupboard for 6 months because she doesn't drink it and only has it for my BIL and I. Nasty nescafe is the one un-magical thing for me at WDW. The sign might as well have said "Yummy coffee for Melissa!"

So we ordered our food. Cinnamon rolls for DH and I, bagels and fruit for the kiddos! We got our food fast and headed out side.

I found DH down on the landing in front of the Plaza Restaurant which I believe used to the launch for the Swan Boats back in the early days. It was a very nice, relaxing place to sit. Its's kind of removed for the hustle and bustle. The only thing is I think it might be a smoking area. But there was no one there smoking!

We ate our breakfast in peace and beautiful disney quiet! The cinnamon rolls were even better this morning then they were the other day! I think they were fresher or something! My Latte was sooooo yummy!! It wasn't the best coffee I've ever had but it was darn good an infinitely better then regular nescafe! Yippeee!! I actually almost went and got another cup but I figured I'd be jumping around like a mexican jumping bean if I did!

After a very enjoyable breakfast we headed for buzz! DH and Johnny rode together and DD, Ryan and I rode together. Ryan helped my with the gun! Johnny hit something good and scored like 175,000 points!! He was soooooo excited!!

We took a few pictures on the way out...

Then it was onto the Carousel of Progress. I know some people think its a little kitchy and outdated but I LOVE it! After we were done going back in time and through to the present and didn't get to eat any turkey we left singing "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of everyday..." and headed out of tomorrowland over main street and into Adventureland.

I really wanted to ride the Jungle Cruise but the standby line said 40 minutes and the fastpass machines were bagged. I can't see waiting that long for JC, especially with Ryan. So we headed to Pirates!

Pirates is always a great ride and I got a great shot of Capt Jack (No, I didn't use the flash)

After we got off the ride and I convinced the kids they didn't need to buy everything in the drop shop (I HATE drop shops!) we discovered that Capt Jack was just starting to tutor young pirates outside! Johnny was super excited to see this. Last trip he was completely awed and left speechless while meeting Capt Jack at the Pirates and Princess Party. He still talks about it! Capt Jack asked him to join his crew that night because he was dressed for the part (he was dressed as Capt Jack) and Capt Jack told him that prehaps on day he'd park the black pearl on our front lawn because we live on an island!

Johnny was ready, willing and able to learn the ways of the pirate!

Unfortuately I didn't get too many good shots because there were tons of people!

Johnny recieving his pirate certificate and taking the pirate oath!

He had such a good time and I got a "That was so cool!" when we was done!! I love those! They come with the best smile ;)

After Johnny became an official pirate we head the back way into Frontierland. I truthfully didn't know that there is a walk way past POTC that leads to the area by BTMRR and Splash!

Johnny and I decided we wanted to ride BTMMR so I left the kiddos with DH and went and got fastpass. The only thing was the machine was malfunctioning. It ate my Key to the World and I got no fastpass! Luckily there was a very nicely dressed CM who helped my out and I was on my way quickly!

Then it was over to Country Bears! I'm not sure why we even went in! Everyone in my family thinks its "cheesy!" But, it was nice to sit down.

After Country Bears everyone decided it was time for lunch, man we eat a lot in WDW! So DD and I headed into Peco's Bill to pick up some lunch!

Be back in a bit with more, it's just about time for the kiddos to go to bed!

Cute sweater :goodvibes Here is to no more doggy rips

Oh how fun your son got picked to be a pirate. I just want a pic with capt Jack.

I'm funny about coffee too. It's gotta be good and just so.

I'll have to finish tomorrow. Time for me to put the kiddos to bed too, and I usually fall asleep with them. Long story on that why, but I need to lay down with them.
Can't wait to read more tomorrowpopcorn::

Yayyy for Johnny getting to do the pirate tutorial! Its probably so cool for them to get to experience that and feel so special! :goodvibes

Good thing I'm not a big coffee drinker because I've heard such bad stuff about the stuff that Disney calls coffee. Congrats on finding a spot with some decent java! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I swear if the dog eats the sweater again I may have a heart attack! He's been extremely good lately though. I asked DH yesterday if someone had switched our dog with a different, more well behaved one!

I heard something that the only place you can actually get your picture taken with Capt Jack is at the P&PP. Now that their not having it there are gonna be a lot of disappointed people! Johnny and I waited a long time to meet him! But it was well worth it! He was completely in awe and Capt Jack was very interactive and funny!

I love me some coffee and it has to be good! I'm not so much a starbucks person, good thing because there's one at the top of my street, but I love Dunkin Donuts coffee and I love my cusinart grind and brew!

Hope you had a good rest with the kids! I used to have to sit or lay with DD to get her to go to sleep. Luckily she's grown out of that!

I'll be back later with more!

He's such a little go getter! DD is too shy to raise her hand to participate but Johnny is right there with his hand up going "ME! ME! ME!"

I drink to much coffee!! I know I do and DH will comment on it every once in a while. I tell him there are a lot worse things I could do too of! Drinking coffee gets me through the day without falling over asleep on the floor!

Most of the coffee at WDW is icky! I've found a few good spots in our trip though! They had a latte machine in the concierge lounge at GF last year and also in the quick service place. That was WONDERFUL! I also had good coffee luck later that day too...

A few updates before the TR update!!

First, I went to the endocrinologist today! I have to have a needle biopsy on 3/9, which unfortunately is DD's birthday. I had one done back in 05 and it's not too terrible bad, if you can get over them coming at you with one giant needle!! It hurts a little, not too bad. Then we'll go from there.

If the biopsy comes back benign the Dr said I can make the decisions as to the next step. If it's inconclusive he said he thinks I should have it removed do the fact that the big nodule has grown and there is a family history of thyroid cancer (my dad and my sister). Obviously, if it's positive I'll have it out too.

He said the rapid growth is the cause for the pain I've been having. He also said that what concerns him the most isn't just that the nodule grew but that the solid portion of it grew and that's the most likely to be cancerous.

I'm hoping to have my followup after the biopsy before we go away. I really like to have peace of mind to know what's going on before we go!

Second, exactly 1 month from this very moment DH and I will be in MK!!!!!!! WOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm a tad excited? ;)

Now onto the trip!

Day 6 Part 3 (sorry, no pictures in this update! :confused3 )

DD and I went to pick up lunch at Peco's Bill! While DH and the boys found a nice bench in the shade near PB. When DD and I got inside I decided to try the new ordering kiosk touch screen thingy instead of ordering from a person. It was, at least to me, a little confusing. But that could be because of ordering for 5 people and picking sizes and sides etc etc.

When I finally figure out the kiosk and we got to counter. We waited a long time. Not as long as my wait waaaaayyyy back at the beginning of the trip at pizza planet but a long time.

The kiddos got chicken nuggets fries and grapes, big shock there, and DH and I split a cheesebuger and fries. It was all pretty good!

When we were just about done eating I got up and walked away for something, I can't remember what. I was gone all of about 30 seconds probably less. I came back to find Johnny covered in ketchup!

Oh my! Apparently he went to stand up and hit the one tray, fliping it over and causing ketchup to fly! He wasn't really sure what to do. It was even in his croc! Yuck!! Luckily Mommy is always prepared and between baby wipes, disinfecting wipes and napkins we were able to clean it up pretty easily. The only casuality was the socks he had on. No biggy. He had socks on under his crocs because it had been a chilly morning. I just took then off and tossed them.

In all the excitement of the spilled ketchup Ryan, who had been asleep since Country Bears, woke up and was asking for a "Ba!" Problem! I had no milk! Oppss!!! So we went on a grand search for milk.

Who knew milk would be hard to find!

We stopped at about 3 different stands asking for milk, no such luck!

Luckily one smart girl knew that the place next to the Tiki Room sold small things of milk! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! So through to Adventureland we went! Sure enough we found milk at Sunshine Tree Terrace, next to Tiki Room!! Ryan was happy again! He had "Ba!"

We talked at length about what to do next and kind of wandered around a bit. But do to the ketchup spill and the grand search for milk and bathroom breaks we had wasted a good 45 minutes to an hour! We had wondered back into Frontierland and noticed that people were beginning to get ready for the parade.

We did just that! We found a nice spot and sat and waited! We people watched, talked, played, laughed and relaxed! DH decided he wanted to go into the shop behind us because it looked to be a candy shop. Hmm!

He took Dorothy and Johnny and asked if I wanted anything. I told him no and they went on their way. A few minutes later DD came running out and sat back down next to me. She scared my half to death! I asked her where Daddy and Johnny were and she said that Daddy was paying. I could see him from where I was sitting so I wasn't mad at DD and she promised DH knew she left and was watching her walk over. She also told me that Daddy had bought be something. Hmmm!

DH and Johnny came back, i can't remember what they got but I do remember what DH got me! Chocolate covered pretzels!! Good man!!! I love me some chocolate covered pretzels!! Creamy, chocolately goodness on the outside, crunchy saltly yumminess on the inside! He told me he knew I said I didn't want anything but he knew that I would want those! LOL!!!

So I ate I few preztels and realized there was one thing that would go reallllllly good with these yummy preztels, COFFEE!!! But I wondered if I would be able to find another decent cup a coffee. Two good cups in 1 day might be too much to ask for! I left the kiddos and DH sitting in our parade spot and ventured off to find some coffee!

I wandered down the road a bit and went into Adventureland. I stopped at Sunshine Tree Terrace and the sign, much like early in the day, called out to me.....

You guessed it....

LATTE!!!

Yippeee!!! Oh the coffee gods where smiling upon me that day! I got me up some yummy coffee goodness and headed back to our parade spot!

Not long after the parade started!!!!
