WHOSE Luckier than me?! The January TR!&March PTR!**LINK TO NEW TR IS UP!!**

Wow, I so totally feel for you. Maybe it is all men, I just thought it was mine, :rotfl2: I've told my husband sometimes I just wanna, and then kick and hit the air:rolleyes1. But I wake up EVERY morning with our kids:mad: , and I get up earlier than him on his work days too, and then he sleeps in on the weekends, and I still get up early, I don't even get to sleep in on Mothers Day. And I have a 3 yo and 10 mo so I'm still up most of the night with them even when they are well, and don't get naps cause they don't nap at the same time, my fault I suppose, but they just won't. So you are so not alone. Sending you some :goodvibes That was a really sweet thing you did inviting your in-laws over btw, he should be glad you get along with them so well, I get along with mine too, but I know there are many people that don't.

:confused3 I some how missed your post...

So that's how is is when I go away for a couple weeks.:confused3

Tomorrow I'm hoping to start getting at some of my stuff! I have a few christmas presents for the family I have to wrap first and then head to DD's class to read, but I'm hoping while DH's bathroom upstair is soaking in bleach (he'sthe only one that uses it unless we have company) I'll get to it! After my stuff is done I'll have at DH's! he's easy and I know what's acceptable to me for him to wear. I will, of course, need at least 1 NY Giants tee and a tee from a sailing regatta but other then that I'll have my pick!

I'm soooooooooo hoping for 70 and sunny! But, the intercot weather thread says something about a cold turn at the beginning of January :headache:

Everyone seems (fingers and toes crossed) to be better! Hopefully it's gone and DH and I are in the clear! If DH gets it I'm going to a hotel!!!!!

You are one busy lady.
In our house it is pack at least one Ohio State shirt and either a Las Vegas t-shirt or a Hooters one.
I will be using all my prayer wishes for you to have great weather.

So, guess what happened last night?!

DH got sick!!

Oh my!! luckily the only time he actually threw up was when he was next door at his parents house watching football. But he made several trips to the bathroom during the night. He was also freezing cold and shivering!! I got up at one point and got him an extra quilt. Then he was fine. I thought he may have a fever because of the shivering but he was cool as a cucumber!

The thing is I'm soooo irritated at him right now! I know he's sick and maybe I'm terrible. Not to mention I was already annoyed at him before he got sick! Anyway, my irritation lies in the fact that I spent the better part of the weekend taking care of our sick children, cleaning and getting ready for christmas. In the middle of the night last night I took care of him and then got up to get the kiddos ready for school. The thing is, I never get this kind of thing returned! He never, well hardly ever, takes care of me and does things to help me out when I'm sick! When I had pneumonia last month I still got up ever morning and go the kids ready for school and did the things that needed to be done. I never got to sleep late, he's still asleep now. He never once budged in bed when Ryan was being his fussy sleeper self to help me out. He did the minimum he had to do to get by and that was it because he knew I'd let it slide and do it myself when I got better or just suck it up and do it sick. He knews I'll fend for myself, suck it up and get over it!

I've been fighting this my whole life! Even when I was kid! It's always been Melissa can take care of herself. I always did what needed to be done and no one ever had to worry about me!

I'm so annoyed today I could spit!!

Like I said, I was annoyed at DH before last night too! To understand why I'm annoyed you must know a 2 things. 1, that DH's parents live next door. They live literally 100 feet north of us, I could walk to my kitchen window right now and look at them in their dining room having coffee and reading the paper. 2nd is that I adore my inlaws. Especially MIL. If it weren't for her I don't know what I'd do! Truely she's my best friend and 2nd mother all in one! So, this year is our year to have Christmas with MIL and FIL. Which means waking up here Christmas morning, opening presents, having breakfast, watching the WDW christmas parade and then going to MIL and FIL's a little later. I always feel bad thinking of them sitting there next door all alone on Christmas morning. I always think they must feel lonely or sad, maybe I'm wrong. So, the other day MIL came over to give DH a message (she's the office manager for DH and FIL's business) and I invited her and FIL over Christmas morning to see the kids open their presents and have breakfast. DH was upset at me! Ok, I didn't ask him first and I probably should have BUT HELLO!!!! I thought I was doing something nice for his parents! I swear!!! As it turns out they'll probably just come over for breakfast because FIL doesn't want to have to get up at the butt crack of dawn. He know the kiddos will be climbing on me in bed at 6 am to go down stairs! I just don't understand how he can be upset! I get that he wants to open presents with the kids alone and I'm sorry I didn't ask him first. When I invited them it was kind of an off the cuff idea! He should be thankful that I was thinking of his parents!

Ughhhhhh!!!!! I'm soo annoyed!!

I'll stop whining and crying like a little baby now and get back to work!

Oh NO not another sickie....please stay well.
Sorry you are so upset, but I do believe it is a man thing they just don't understand.
I think it all depends on how their mother raised them if they had a mother who did everything for them than I think they ASSume the wifey will too.
Hope he is up and about soon. And that he doesn't get the chance to take care of you.

My biggest issue is that he isn't very good at being there when I need him. Don't get me wrong, I love him more then anything, but sometimes I really want to smack him in the head!! :rotfl2: (MICKEY SLAP him a few times) he keeps thanking me for taking such good care of him, I wanna say "Yeah, take that into account next time I'm sick!"

I think he understands why I invited his parents but his reaction totally throw me for a loop! :confused3

Oh well! Like most times I get annoyed at I'm almost over it now! I can't stay mad at him too long. I've tried countless time but I just can't!!

Thanks for listening to me whine!!!

That was so sweet of you........I wish I had a MIL that I could like enough to want to invite over. I have tried for 32 years to tolerate her.
All I can say is she is God's one and only mistake.

PLEASE PLEASE take care of yourself and if by some chance you do get sick I'll come clean up your puke, I promise.

Awww Melissa :guilty: You're such a good mother and wife and I'm sorry to see you so stressed out, especially at the holiday season. It's definitely just men being typical men unfortunately. My BF's only 24 but it's the same way with him. And, my parents have been married for 25 yrs and its the sameeeee way with my dad too. My mom is like the house maid...I help out but not as much as I should. Don't get me wrong, my dad and mom have a great relationship and they love eachother dearly (as I know you and your DH do) but sometimes I can see how it would get to you after a while!

I think DH needs to get you a day at the spa ALLLL to yourself for xmas! Doesn't that sound amazing? :cloud9: And you were right to invite your inlaws over for xmas breakfast, your DH should be happy that you get along so well with his parents! Ok enough of my rant, hope you had a better day today!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I say just smack him...it will make you feel better. Us wifes, moms are not allowed to get sick and when we do, we still have to go on. :lmao:

OMG! It's soooo annoying!! I am a stay at home mom so of course I do more and don't mind it at all. I'm a bit OCD and like things done my way. But, he works from home and could really help a lot more then he does!!

It's still looking good!! mid 70's and sunny :cool1:

You know, it's funny. My MIL apologizes to me every now and again saying that she didn't make him do enough growing up and she realizes mow she did me a "dis-service"

I'm soooo lucky to have her for my MIL!

Your too funny, God's one and only mistake!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

I seem to be the only one left untouched my this bug! Now MIL and FIL have it!!! I feel so bad for them!

What the heck is wrong with these men!! I swear!! They just don't get it!!!

Smacking him would feel oooohhhhh sooo good!! Actually, one time we were playing fighting and wrestling and I accidently popped him in the eye a little hard! I gave him a black eye!! :scared: I felt sooo bad! I don't think I could hit him again after that!

Woo Hoo!!!!:woohoo:  :dance3: :yay:

Merry Christmas!!!

The details!!!

I called the Intinerary Planning Office yesterday morning after reading that WDW had changed the ADR system back to 90 days out, as it was when we went in 05, and that they released the date our trip starts! Yesterday was 90 days!! I spoke to a lovely CM at the IPO, Denise, who I have spoke to a few times before. I asked her if my ADR's had been made and she said that they couldn't. I told her that I read online that they had released my dates because they are 90 days out. She mentioned that the CM's had recieved an email that the dates were in the system but notto make an reservations because they whole system hadn't been updated and any reservation that were made would be cancelled. She promised she wopuld let me know as soon as the reservations were made. I said thank you and she wished me a magical day :cloud9: ( I love that) and we hung up.

I went on about my business and ran to the grocery store with every other crazy person in the world and when I came home there was a message from her

She said she had done a little research after my call and my ADR's and other reservation could indeed be made and she had done so!! :rolleyes1 Gotta love the Dis info!! And she said I would be recieveing an email with all the info shortly!

Yippppeeee :cool1:

So here it is! Everything is as I had hoped! With the exception of 1 thing...

Monday, 3/23 6:10 Kona Cafe

Tuesday, 3/24 9 am Massage for me at GF :cloud9:
12 pm lunch at Coral Reef
7 pm dinner at Le Cellier

Wednesday, 3/25 9 am Keys to the Kingdom Tour :yay:
5:30 dinner Artist Point
9 pm Cirque Du Soleil :woohoo:

Thursday, 3/36 10:30 am Breakfast Chef Mickey
8:50 pm dinner Cali Grill

Friday, 3/37 8:30 am breakfast Kona Cafe
11:50 am lunch CRT!

The thing that isn't exactly as I wanted, Cali Grill! I originally thought Wishes was at 10 that night and requested an 8:30 ADR. Turns out they changed Wishes to 9 and I got an 8:50 ADR. I'll be soooo upset if we haven't been seated by 9!! I figure we'll show up at 8:10 - 8:20 and sign in in hopes to be seated!

I may also see if I can change the 8:30 breakfast at Kona to 8ish. I really want to do both CRT and Kona breakfast!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful christmas!!! We're being invaded :rolleyes1 by my family tomorrow!! 9 more people in my house over night!! :scared: :upsidedow Then 3 leave Saturday and the other 6 stay until Sunday!

Sunday is also a special day, but I'll tell you about that later  ...

Thanks for the card I love seeing the family they are so adorable.

SOON it will be you in Disney

Hope you had a nice time with your family.

Thanks! We had a wonderful, relaxing christmas!

Thanks for the card I love seeing the family they are so adorable.

I'm glad you got it! I was a little late in send them out this year! Of course, last year I accidently spilled water all over the cards that were already finished! No one got a card!

I am packing!!!!!!! Hope you are getting there. They weather looks like highs of 70's. :cloud9: I can not wait to tell my kids.

The kiddos had a wonderful time! We went to DH's sisters Christmas Eve, his parents couldn't go because the stomach bug still had it's grips on them. We spent Christmas day here and at MIL's and FIL's, then Friday my parents and 2 sisters came here! The kiddos love to hangout with their cousins. My one sister, her DH and their son left yesterday and my other sister and her 3 kid, and my parents left today. When my sister left early this morning both of my nieces were getting sick!! OMG! I felt soooo bad getting them sick!!

I spent a good amount of time trying to get the house back in order today. It wasn't as bad as I thought! But, I still have more to do! Tomorrow I'll finish up and hopefully start packingfor DH and I!

We have a dinner reservation in a little bit because, today's my birthday! I truly, truly hate my birthday. No joke. It's not hte getting older thing that bothers me at all. I decided long ago that I'd grow old (I'm not old yet, only 33) gracefully. It's the 3 days after christmas, my birthday is alway an after thought to everyone but my MIL thing! I will enjoy celebrating my birthday at WDW next week and any attention a birthday button gets me very much though!!

I'm off to make sure my hair doesn't look like crap and touch up my face and out the door!! Talk to ya later~~

Happy Birthday! :yay:

I'm sorry that you hate you birthday but like you said, you shouldn't hate it yet because you're not old. I think theres plenty of years that are still far off for you when you will be hating it so enjoy it now!:goodvibes

Christmas looks like it was great even though yes, it can be very tiring. Sorry to hear your family was sick! Sooo exciting that you'll be packing soon!!

So, I'm sitting here in my PJ's DISing and planning out the things I need to today. I just got that butterfly feeling in my tummy! Ya know why?!?!?!?!?

Cause we're going to
Disney World in 5 days!!

:ccat: :donald: :sulley: :tigger: :hmghost: :mickeyjum :goofy: :figment: :dumbo: :stitch: :simba:

Soooooooo guess what?!

You'll never guess!

Ok, I'll tell you...

I just made a reservation to stay the night of the 11th and changed our flight home to the 12th!!!! :cool1:

DH is all concerned about missing even 1 second of the Giants playoff game on the 11th. The game is at 1 pm and our flight home was at 5:25. So we'd have to be on ME at like 2:30. Not gonna work. I could have changed to the later flight at 7:35 but if the game went to overtime or something he'd still miss part. Not to mention by the time we got off the plane, got our luggage and headed home we wouldn't get there until after midnight!! Not my cup of tea! But, I was willing. DH said no, let's just stay!! Yippppeeee!!!

So he'll watch the game in our room with Ryan while I take the bigger kiddos to MK!! Then he'll most likely meet us after the game for some Casey's hot dogs for dinner and then one last Wishes!

This also makes my plan of skippin AK and having a leisurely day on the 7th a little easier if it rains as it looks right now. We can go to AK on Friday instead and not worry about missing a day at MK!!

The only catch is that our flight home on the 12th is at 9:25 am! :upsidedow Which means we'll be up and out of WL at the nice early hour of 6:30 am!!! Good thing I'm a morning person!!!

All in all it's costing us an extra $100 to stay the extra night because we're saving a good amount on the airfare that we can apply to later travel!!

Now, we just have to get past the weather forecast for Friday the 2nd into Saturday the 3rd! It's supposed to snow here!! Helllllllllloooooo! We're flying down on the 3rd!!!! Doesn't mother nature know to keep that kind of stuff to herself when we're travelling!!!!??
