WHOSE Luckier than me?! The January TR!&March PTR!**LINK TO NEW TR IS UP!!**

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days! I have 3, yes 3, sick kiddos!! :crazy2:

DD started it first! I had to take her to the doctor on Saturday, she had/has strep! Luckily they had school off yesterday so she didn't miss.

Ryan started running a fever midday yesterday and has a terrible cough! Johnny woke up this morning complaining of a soar throat and he had a tiny fever. Ryan had the croup and an ear infection and Johnny has strep!!

UGHHH!!! Is it March yet!?

I've spent $75 of doctors visits and $50 on Rx! Not to bad, it could be a lot worse thankfully we have good insurance!

Of course, I took the boys today because their sick and walked out with an order for a brain CAT scan!! No joke!! Ryan had a big head, he has since he was born. But the doctor measured it today and wants to have the scan just in case. His head is a tiny bit over the 100th percentile. She wants to rule out hydrocephalus!! DH nearly had a heart attack when I told him! I'm trying to tell him we're only doing it to better safe then sorry! I don't have an appointment yet because I don't have the certification number yet. I'm sure Ryan is going to love it!!

Hopefully I'll back soon with another update!

Sorry to hear hte kids have been sick, how how they today?
How's mom holding up?

I loved the pics of the boys getting their hair done....Ryan was so cute with his ears on.

Why oh why can't we live so close to
Disney that we coud go anytime we want to????????

so cool, first hair cut at WDW. :thumbsup2 wow. what a great story for him to tell as he grows up. so no tip huh? good to know

your morning sounded wonderful. I can't wait until my baby is a little older and I can sneak out of bed without him waking.

can't wait to read about the rest of your day.

I'm so happy we got to get his first haircut at WDW! I have the ears in my china hutch!! DD and DS both had a special first birthday hat, Ryan had one too but he got it reallllllly messy with him cake and I had to throw it away. I told DH now I don't feel bad about the 1st hat anymore!

No tip! And it wasn't expensive!! Johnny's haircut and red gel Mickey Head were $14, Ryan's was also $14 and that included the embroidered ears. DH said that at the barber shop at home he would pay about that for haircuts for him and Johnny and the tip!

Awwww what a great morning! Getting out on time, some nice coffee (ok, not so nice) on the beautiful balcony, MK at rope drop and great haircuts for your boys! What could be better? :goodvibes

It really was a wonderful morning!! I love to have a little quite alone time at WDW before we start a day at the parks! I was so happy we were the first people to the barber shop! I was affraid we would have to wait a huge amount of time!! The boys were so good and Miss Penny did such a good job!! She was so sweet and Grandmotherly!

The kiddos seem to be on the mend now! Ryan still has the croupy cough at night. I'm hoping he'll sleep tonight, that way I can sleep too! I'm getting a little sleep deprived!! DH is sick now too! he went to the Dr today. he had an ear infection and the dr is pretty sure he has strep too! He'll get the culture back in a few days. The thing about DH being sick is he's a huge complainer!!! Oh my! I have to stop myself from telling him to shut up! :upsidedow

I can't believe he kept the ears on for any amount of time! You can see in the picture he was starting to get a little annoyed when they first went on but he left them for at least an hour after that. I only took them off when they shifted when I took him out of the stroller to go on a ride and he remembered they were there!! LOL!

I've often thought that it would be nice to to go to WDW anytime we want. But then I wonder if it would be magical.

I've mentioned before that I have a deep love for tickers and countdowns!

Take a look at the ticker....

60 days until our anniversary trip!!!

:ccat: :simba: :donald: :stitch: :dumbo: :sulley: :tigger: :figment: :goofy: :hmghost: :mickeyjum

My DD was thinking about getting the pixie dust this trip but we forgot about it. Your view was awesome. I can’t not wait to see your pics from Poly!
I wish I could convince DH to go for his birthday this year, it is March 14th.

Thank you! Everyone seems to be on the mend! Ryan slept last night, thank god!! I got a good night sleep!!

I reallly like taking the boys to the barber shop. It was a simple thing but a lot of fun and very special!

I'm thrilled to hear all is on the mends I guess the prayers and pixie dust:tinker: I sent your way worked.

They did!! They really did! Ryan went to sleep at around 8:30 last night and so did I. He woke up around 11:30 all runny and stuffy and had a rough time for a little bit but settled back down and slept until 7:30 this morning! I was sooooo happy to get a decent amount of sleep!

Day 2, part 2

I left off with us in search of some breakfast!

But first I had to stop and take a quick picture of the beautiful Christmas decorations on Main Street!

Then onto breakfast which was to be found not too far away at the Main Street Bakery!

I was surprised when we got there at 9:30ish that the line wasn’t long at all! Yippeee!! DH and I both got the famous Main Street Bakery cinnamon rolls and the kiddos got bagels!

Holy cow! Those cinnamon rolls are huge! I swear they were as big as my head! No, I didn’t take any pictures, sorry! I actually didn’t take any food porn pictures! Again, sorry! But with 3 kiddos to worry about feeding and the frenzy that occurs around us eating I never had the chance.

DH and I enjoyed our cinnamon rolls and the kiddos enjoyed their bagels quickly, we had things to do!!

After breakfast it was off to Fantasyland! We always start our trips in MK and usually we start in Fantasyland.

DD got to pick the first ride this time, the kiddos take turns picking the first ride of the trip. She picked PhilHarMagic!!! My favorite!! It was a walk in!! We enjoyed the show as usual! Ryan was a little unsure of the glasses and threw them on the floor about a quarter of the way through. But, he sat nice on my lap with no fussing. Can’t ask for anymore then that!

After PhilHarMagic it was off to It’s a Small World! It was a very short wait and we were off and touring the world! As kitschy and cheesy as it may seem to some, we always enjoy it a ride through the world! Ryan LOVED it! Pointing at everything and saying “ehh!”

Then it was onto Pooh!

Daddy and Ryan waiting for Pooh

Always a classic and must do! We waited a few minutes, not long at all and we were off on our 100 Acre Wood adventure!
I thought Ryan would love the ride, he LOVES Pooh. I was right, he loved it! But, he cried!! I’m assuming because it ended! LOL!!! Poor baby!

Then it was into the shop for some shopping! I just love the drop shops, not! Actually I got a good deal! Tee shirts were on sale! I think it was in all the parks and the resorts on certain tees, 40% off!! Yippee! I got my mom a shirt and the kiddos used a bit of their money to buy little things.

After that the kiddos had to go the playground across the way! Their too funny about the playgrounds!!

They played for a good 45 minutes while we relaxed! DH also took Ryan over to meet Tigger and Pooh. Sorry, no pictures of that, I miss placed that photopass card!! Luckily those were the only photo on it!

While in Pooh’s house DD called me over to show me what she had found inside,

The hidden Submarine!! I was sooooo excited!! It’s the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea sub!! For those who don’t know this the 20,000 Leagues under the Sea ride was in the location Pooh’s Playground is now! I remember riding it when I went to WDW as a kid!!

She also found this,

She was so proud!!

After we round the kiddos up we were off to Toontown for a Barnstorming adventure with Goofy! DD decided not to ride and DH doesn’t do any kind of rollercoaster’s so it was DS Johnny and I. We had a great time! I tried to teach him to raise his arms and scream but he didn’t want to let go! LOL!!

After the Barnstormer it was getting around time for us to out for lunch! But first we had to stop so the kiddos could buy themselves funny hats!

Then we headed over to catch the Monorail to the Polynesian for lunch!! Kona Café here we come!!

Along the way I snapped a picture of Bay Lake Towers!

They’ve done a lot of work since we were there in March! I’m interested to see the completed building!

We arrived at Poly and headed to Kona. DH took DS to the bathroom and I took the other 2 kiddos to check-in.

The people at the desk were kind of annoying. Rather snotty and abrupt. Yuck! They told me it would be a few minutes. OK, the place is almost empty. Why are we waiting?! I let it go and when DH and DS came back I took a few pictures.

I LOVE the lobby at Poly. I’m thinking that will mean good things for March!! But I’m a little afraid, yes afraid, that it will take away my WL love. Only time will tel

They called us to sit after a little more than 5 minutes and the man who seated us asked if we need a highchair for Ryan and I told him yes, definitely. He seated us said he would be back with the chair.

We sat and looked over the menu and talked about what we wanted, we let the kiddos know what the kids menu had etc, etc. the whole time I had Ryan sitting on my lap. It wasn’t a big deal, he was being good. But I had asked for the darn chair.

Our waitress arrived and asked me about a highchair and I told her I had asked for one when we were seated and the gentlemen hadn’t come back. She looked to see what he was doing, to see if he was getting one and she looked rather annoyed. He was in the corner chatting with a few other CM’s. She said she’d be right back and returned very quickly with the highchair! Thank you!!

Then it was time to order!! DH and I both ordered the Island Chicken Sandwich I got the Asian Veggie Slaw with mine and DH got something else, fries I think. The kiddos both had a hot dog. She also took our drink order, Lapu lapu here I come!!!

Our drinks came quickly.

Yummy Lapu Lapu!!!

It was very strong! But very, very good!! I did put a little water in it to dilute it once I had drank a little of it, DH made fun of me for it. Yummmmmmy!! I definitely see a Lapu Lapu or 2 or 3 in my future in March.

Then it was time for lunch! The chicken sandwiches were delicious!! The slaw I had left a little to be desired for, there were way, way too many onions. But the sandwiches were sooo good! The kiddos, of course, enjoyed their hot dogs and fries. Ryan enjoyed eating a little bit of everything! He’s a really good eater and will eat just about anything. I found out during that lunch that he really likes the whole grain hot dog rolls that Disney has!! DD doesn’t eat the roll so we gave it to Ryan. He ate the whole thing!!

Then it was time for dessert!! Our waitress came and took the kiddos and DH up to the counter area thingy that they have and showed them all the desserts and explained with the were. When they came back I go to do the same! I thought that was neat!

Of course, we all chose the make your own ice cream cone thing!

Yummy!! The kids was a lot smaller and didn’t come with cotton candy I hate cotton candy so I gave mine to Johnny, who loves it and was very happy to take it!! The ice cream was yummy and really hit the spot!

My review of Kona, I’m kinda on the fence. Some of the service, the high chair thing, left a little to be desired for. Our waitress was good and nice. The food was good. I really am not sure if I liked the atmosphere. I kind of felt like I was sitting in the middle of a mall food court. We sat right off the lobby area. Maybe if we sat inside more I would have liked it better.

After lunch we took a quick trip on Monorail stop over to GF. The kiddos and DH got to ride up front! They thought it was great even if it was only 1 stop!

We went to GF to see

I was so excited to get a chance to see it! That day was the last day it was up and I was so happy. The thing was, I was a little disappointed. I don’t know what I was expecting. Maybe I was expecting it to be bigger or something the shop inside wasn’t open so maybe if it had been I would have felt different.

I took a few pictures of the lobby

and then it was back to the monorail!

We got off at MK and took the boat to WL!

Be back later with more on day 2!

mmmmmmmmmmm yummy, in the words of my soon to be 4 year old. :)

I showed hubby the do it yourself ice cream thingy, and we decided whenever we take our trip that we must go to Kona cafe even if its just for dessert.

Sounds like a fun trip so far, no dumbo? That will be our first ride on our first trip to the world. ;)

Wow what a great morning filled with great food! Those make your own ice cream cone things look so cool! And I love loveeee the GF picture of the lobby, really artistic of you :thumbsup2

The ice cream was yummy! There wa vanilla & chocolate inside the cone with chocolate sauce on it, there were little cups of toppings, mickey shaped sprinkles, M&M's etc!

No Dumbo! The funny thing is the kids didn't ask and I figured we'd hit it later in the week...

We ate so much good food on our trip!! YUMMMYY!! Good thing for all the walking or I would have easily gained 10 lbs!

The GF picture is actually two pictures and when I posted it I didn't leave a space so instead of 2 one on top of the otehr it looks like 1!! :rotfl:

Day 2, Part 3

We arrived back at WL after a relaxing boat ride. I just love the boats! I find a nice boat ride after a day at the park very relaxing!

Our original intention was to go swimming. But, lunch and our trip to GF took longer then I had planned and we weren't going to have enough time to go swimming before we had to leave.

We didn't have any ADR's but we had to be out of the room by 4!

I had a suprise planned ;) and we couldn't be in our room!

So we hung out, enjoyed our view and watched a little TV!

We left our room again and head to the bus stop to catch a bus to DHS!

Tonight was the last night of the Osborne Lights and we were very excited to have the opportunity to see them!

We got to DHS a bit after 4 and instantly saw the tree!

So big and so pretty!

The only thing we really wanted to do while at DHS for a short evening, besides the Osborne Lights, was Star Tours! So we started to head that way.

But, first we had to stop for

DD enjoyed it a lot!

Then onto Star Tours! It was just DS Johnny and I for this ride!

There was only a short wait so I had a few minutes to take a few pictures!

So, it was our turn to board and take our journey. Johnny and I are seated in the front row. There was a spanish speaking family seated in the row behind us. Older kids, early to mid 20's, and their mother. Once the ride started and we started moving the mother starts screaming. I don't mean yelling, I mean full on screaming "I yiyi, i yiyi, i yiyi!!!" Every jolt or justle would bring another gasp and and another series of "i yiyi" I first I thought it was one of the sons messing around. Then I realized it was the mother. It got to the point of being funny! When the ride ended the poor women was white as a ghost and fanning herself with her hand! Johnny and I now have our own personal inside joke of saying "i yiyi!" about things and laughing!

After a most memorable trip on Star Tours we decided to get something to eat. It was after 5 and the lights get switched on at 6. So we head to Pizza Planet.

We've never eaten there before and you can count on the fact that we never will again!

DH and the kiddos got a seat outside and I went into get the food. The place was empty! Literally there were 2 other groups ordering and no one waiting.

I ordered the pizzas and drinks etc and waited, and waited, and waited some more. I swear I waited 20 minutes and there was no one else in the place!!

I finally get our and head outside. We dig into our pizza. Yummy!! NOT! Yuck! It was worse the Chuckie Cheese pizza!! DH said "I hope they didn't say this is New York Pizza!" Yuck. yuck! Like white bread with plain tomato sauce and cheese. No spice, thick & just yucky!!

Ok, well nasty pizza not finished the light had been turned on and it was time to head over!

All I can say is WOW!!!

We spent a little while looking at the lights. Watching the changes to the music, the snow falling. So beautiful! We didn't stay all that long. It was a mob scene!! Sooooooo many people. Crazy amounts of people. But, we really enjoyed it and it was so beautiful! I can't wait to go back and see the lights again!!

After the lights it was time to head out. We wanted to go to MK and see if the Castle lights were still lite. They were still on the castle but the question was would they be on.

We figured we'd take the bus to GF and then the monorail but for some reason we went home to WL (WL and GF share a bus to DHS) and took the boat. No big deal, it was a quick trip!! As we approached MK I could see the Castle and see the lights!!!! I was sooooo happy!!

When we got off the boat DH said "Oh, Spectromagic just started!" Yippee!! We got an unplanned viewing of Spectro!! The kiddos got to stand, with DH holding them on a tree planter thingy outside of Tony's and I snapped a few not to great pictures

After Spectro it was time to head down Main Street and see the Castle

So amazingly beautiful!!! I can't even describe it words!! Pictures don't do it justice!!

We found a spot for Wishes not the best spot but a lot of people were already waiting. We ended up on the Tomorrowland side of Main Street up on the sidewalk.

We waited a little,

DD waiting for Wishes

Then it was time!

I didn't take a lot of pictures because the tree was kinda in the way. I love Wishes, but OMG it was so much more beautiful when the castle lights were turned on at the end!!! WOW!!!

After Wishes was over I snapped a quick picture of tomorrowland at night. I love the way it looks with the lights!!

Then we headed over to HM!! DD was brave enough to ride. I was very, very proud of her. DH stayed with Ryan and I took Dorothy and Johnny. I told her the stretching room was the scariest part and she handled it well! Both her and Johnny held on tight to me and we got through it! :lmao:

I think she enjoyed it! But she told me "I'm never riding that again." :rotfl: She didn't have nightmares so she couldn't have been that scared ;)

We talked about going on some more rides, after all it was EMH. But we decided we were tired and wanted get back to our room to see the suprise!

Up next, the suprise and day 3!

I wanted your cotton candy:sad1:

Reading your TR is truly making me miss Disney. And it has only been a little over a month since we were there.

I'm glad you were able toget some sleep and that everyone is getting along better.

I loved the Poly when we toured it and that would probably be our next choice right up there with the WL if finances allowed, it reminded me of Hawaii.

I really hope we can someday make it to WDW with all the beautiful Christmas decorations. Your pictures were great, but like you said I'm sure even more spectacular in person.

Can't wait to see what the surprise was :)
