WHOSE Luckier than me?! The January TR!&March PTR!**LINK TO NEW TR IS UP!!**

I'm glad you enjoyed Whispering Canyon we did too. But when we asked about the large drink we were told they din't serve it anymore. I was wanting my DH to be shocked.
But your DH looked so cute drinking and sharing with you showed how very much he loved you after all he just wanted company during his night time visits to the bathroom.
Loving your pics we took some when we visited there and it reminds me of how much we'd like to stay there some time.

Waiting for more..more ..more come on get busy.
I'm not going anywhere with snow on the ground and temps in the low 30's here I'm in for the week end so keep me pout of trouble and start posting.;)

Hi! Love the bed at WL.:goodvibes Great pictures.
Looks like you had a great time at WCC. I liked it there too.

WCC sounds like so much fun! That is one HUGE soda, good thing he shared because not only would he have been awake all night, he would have been in the bathroom too  Your kids look like they had alot of fun and definitely sounds like it was a good thing they got to get out some of their pent up energy. Can't wait to see more pictures of WL. :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed WCC! The soda was sooo big! it was crazy! The kids really enjoyed all the activities at WCC! It's very fun and very family friendly!

Sounds like you wait person was being no fun!! We didn't ask for the drink the waitress brought it when she noticed DH's was empty so quickly! It was so funny! I wish I had known she was coming with it because the look on his face was too funny!

I'm suprised we didn't have to fight one another for the bathroom that night.

WL is so beautiful and peaceful! You should definitely stay there!!!

The beds are so pretty! I love all the details in everything at WDW! It's one of the things I like most about WL. There are so many little details in every nook and cranny. I noticed a bunch of things this time I didn't notice last time. I'm sure there are tons more!

WCC is so much fun! I'm glad we got to have dinner there. we had a late lunch there in 06 and there was only 1 or 2 other tables of people and they didn't do all the fun stuff!

Day 1, Part 4

Hall from Roaring Forks area to main lobby

After our tour DD and went up to the room to discover our luggage hadn't arrived yet. Hmmmmm

I also hadn't heard anything from Garden Grocer who was supposed to have delievered a small amountof groceries for us, including milk for Ryan's bottle.

DH decided he would go to the lobby and ask about our luggage at the bell desk and buy a small container of milk at the merchantile. Johnny decided he wanted to go too. After all, Dorothy had gone with me ;)

Less then 5 minutes after they left there was a knock at the door and a very nice man bellmen named Orneal with a terrific Irish brogue arrived with our luggage and our grocers! He was super nice!!! He took all the luggage in and the grocery bags and told me which bag had the milk in it so I could put in the fridge straight away.

As he was finishing up DH and DS arrived back at the room. Orneal and DH chat for a minute or 2 about our nice Irish last name and such. Then we tipped him a nice tip for being so nice and helpful and he was on his way!!

Then it was time for me to start unpacking :crazy2:

Luckily the OCD in me had packed all the kiddos clothes in big ziplocs and packed my things and DH's according to outfit and day  It didn't take me long at all to unpack. Maybe 30 minutes.

BUT, and that's a big fat BUT, I took the kids PJs for the night out while I was unpacking. Funny thing, I couldn't find Ryan's when I took DD and DS's out. I thought maybe I had packed them differently.

No such luck. Stupid!!! I forgot to pack Ryan's PJ's!! I was sooooo upset at myself!! DH, alway reasonable and thinking I'm over reacting as usual, told me it wasn't a big deal. We are, after all, in FL and it's warm. He can sleep in his tee shirt! Oh my!! I let it go and let him sleep in his tee with his blanket over him. I'll admit all week I checked shops for PJ's his size. Either I found
big kid PJ's or little girl PJ's. No little boy PJ's. Oh well.

After my unpacking catastrophe it was nearing 9 and I ventured out to the balcony with a hope and a prayer for some Disney magic!

And at 9 exactly I got it!! Wishes!!! Holy cow!! We could see it!! Granted it was over the top of the north wing of the building and we couldn't hear the music but it was beautiful!! (I'm very, very sorry I didn't take any pictures that night! I was busy holding Ryan!! DH can't take a good picture to save his life!! Maybe there will be some in a few days ;) )

After watching Wishes it was time for bed to get up early for the next day!! At 9:35ish we could hear the Electric Water Pageant out on the lake but were too tired and comfy to go watch.

So we were lulled to sleep by the music!

Up next the start of day 2!! Stickers, lots and lots of stickers, hair, rum and beautiful lights!!

I feel like this :cloud9: just listening to you describe watching Wishes and hearing the EWP music lull you to sleep, so peaceful!! All of your pictures came out so good too, WL is an amazing resort and really just can't be put into words :goodvibes

What a nice hotel, love all the pictures :-)

What a shame about the pj's but if it was warm I would say the t-shirt should be fine too, my little guys hate wearing pj's anyways, so they would be dancing about with excitement if I forgot their pj's :rotfl:

Can't wait to see what you did on your first morning

Thanks so much!!! WL is so peaceful!!! I really could stay there for a few days without ever going to WDW! Blasphemy I know!! But it's so peaceful and relaxing!!

I love taking pictures!! I keep thinking I'm going to take a photography class. But, I haven't had luck finding one.

I love WL so much!!! It's so pretty and peaceful!!

Ryan didn't care about the PJ's! Johnny would have been happy if it were him! He hates PJ's also!! Most of the time he only wears a tee shirt and undies!

Loving the pics. I am so glad when we were there that we had a chance to tour WL because after viewing your pics I can totally relate to them.Especailly the tree I too took a pic of it telling my DH how I loved it.

Hey guess what I forgot DH's pj's too he had to sleep in his birthday suit:confused3 mind you his birthday suit is a little wrinkled and has some age to it but I LIKE it on him:rotfl:

I thought that tree was so neat! All the mossy stuff hanging off and the color the lighting gave it!

LOL! I'm glad you enjoyed DH in his birthday! No matter what condition ;)

Heyy, have you checked out my newest update to my PTR, I gave you a shoutout in there! :goodvibes

More great photos. The christmas tree there was awesome.
My basement at the moment is done in the cabin theme. I am slowly changing over to a bit more modern.

I just went back and looked!! We were there! Me, the kiddos, MIL and SIL. We have to go every year! DD wants to be Strawberry Queen when she gets bigger! LOL!

Thanks!! I really would have loved to see the tree, but it's an excuse for another trip ;) DH knew I really wanted to see it!

My basement is currently done in really huge mess! :lmao: If DH doesn't get a move on finishing it I may freak! I need all the kids mess out of the rest of th house! I'm contemplating changing my main floor from a country type look to more modern and colorful. we'll see!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days! I have 3, yes 3, sick kiddos!! :crazy2:

DD started it first! I had to take her to the doctor on Saturday, she had/has strep! Luckily they had school off yesterday so she didn't miss.

Ryan started running a fever midday yesterday and has a terrible cough! Johnny woke up this morning complaining of a soar throat and he had a tiny fever. Ryan had the croup and an ear infection and Johnny has strep!!

UGHHH!!! Is it March yet!?

I've spent $75 of doctors visits and $50 on Rx! Not to bad, it could be a lot worse thankfully we have good insurance!

Of course, I took the boys today because their sick and walked out with an order for a brain CAT scan!! No joke!! Ryan had a big head, he has since he was born. But the doctor measured it today and wants to have the scan just in case. His head is a tiny bit over the 100th percentile. She wants to rule out hydrocephalus!! DH nearly had a heart attack when I told him! I'm trying to tell him we're only doing it to better safe then sorry! I don't have an appointment yet because I don't have the certification number yet. I'm sure Ryan is going to love it!!

Hopefully I'll back soon with another update!

Looks like you had fun at WCC! We ate there on our trip and had a good time. Sadly they didn't really do anything too crazy other than the whole ketchup ordeal. Oh well! And great pictures of the Wilderness Lodge. I really want to stay there some day!

Looks like you had a great meal at WCC! Great pics!

Our basement has taken us about 8 years to finsh. DH is still working on the computer room. That is the room our dog ate through the wall. It is a long process. We still dont have a ceiling. I have to go look this week for something I like. Nothing ever seems to be done. There is always something. I have the country look too, in my kitchen and living room. A need a whole new kitchen! I have painted the cabinets for the last time. I just noticed you are staying at Poly in March. I feel in love with that hotel on this trip. Have you stayed there before?

We really enjoyed WCC, I wonder if the level of fun going on has to do with the CM's working. I would think some are more engaging then others! We really love WL!!! It's so beautiful, peaceful and serene!!

It definitely was a great meal!! We'll definitely return there on future trips!!

We've lived on our house for 5 years in April. But, we built it in the place our tiny old bungalow house used to be. In hindsight we should just done the basement then!! Oh well!! I've come to realize that there is always something to be done, always another project, improvement, change etc to be made!

We haven't stayed at Poly before! We were supposed to stay there last March but learned the pool was closed for refurb during our stay so we switched to GF. I'm very excited to stay there!! We went to Spirit of Aloha last March and Kona this past trip and I just love the resort! It's so beautiful!! I a little affraid that Poly may take over as my favorite resort after this trip in March!!

Day 2 part 1!

So I left off with bedtime the first night!

I had set a wakeup call for 7:30 before I went to bed.

Of course, the “I’m at Disney World!” excitement woke me at 6. I laid there for a bit and decided to take a shower and get myself ready. I was done before 7. Hmmmm what to do!?

Coffee sound wonderful, Nescafe sounded ehh. But, I had no other option! I had packed coffee from home but didn’t realize that the coffee in the rooms was a coffee pod kind of thing and there were no filters!! So, I whispered in DH’s ear to tell him where I was going so he didn’t think I had run away and went down to Roaring Forks!

I bought myself a refillable mug and filled it with the every so yummy goodness of Nescafe (not!) I thought about taking an early morning walk but I decided to head upstairs in case Ryan woke up.

So, I snuck into the room and out onto the balcony!

I enjoyed my morning coffee with a beautiful view!

The only thing is, the railing area of the balcony in the rooms on the top floor of WL is enclosed. There is no railing, it’s a wall. So, to see anything you have to be standing up. No biggie, I can stand ;(

7:30 rolled around and I went inside. I let DH pickup the wakeup call, he didn’t seem to enjoy it. He didn’t react at all!!! Oh well!!

Everyone got up and got dressed pretty easily. The only person in our family who is in anyway a morning person is me. Mornings can sometimes be unpleasant in our family. But, this one was easy and good!!

We were down to the boat dock by 8:15ish, maybe a little before! The goal was to be at MK before rope drop!

We were! Security was easy and we were in. We went as far to the left as we could and as close to the train station as we could without cutting anyone or anything. We saw the opening ceremony although not very well because our vantage point wasn’t too good. That wasn’t the point of the morning!

As soon as the ropes dropped and we were able we were in!

We head straight toward Harmony Barber Shop!

We were the first ones there and it wasn’t opened yet! We waited a few minutes, only long enough for 2 of the horse drawn trolleys to pull out of the car barn

and for several more families to line up behind us!

Then they opened the doors and we went in!

I was surprised how small it is! Only 2 chairs! In the other chair was a CM getting a haircut! He looked sooooo familiar, but I just couldn’t place him. I didn’t want to say “who are you?!” Oh well!

We had Johnny go first figuring that if he went first and Ryan saw how good he was he’d be ok. Miss Penny cut Johnny’s hair quickly

and gave him his red Mickey head! He didn’t want the spiky hair with the colored gel and pixie dust. Only the red gel Mickey.

Then it was Ryan’s turn!! All I could think was hold it together mom, your babies getting his first haircut!

Miss Penny was wonderful with him! She stuck stickers all over him, he loved it!!

She gave him a light spin to hold! (we are now the proud owners of the same one as per Ryan’s request later in the week!)

She trimmed him up quickly, painlessly and tear free!!

Phew!! It was over so quick I didn’t have time to get all emotional! When he was finished Miss Penny put on his first haircut ears!

He was unhappy at first but left them on for awhile after he was done! Then we got his certificate and little packet of hair and we were done! We thanked Miss Penny a ton and tried to give to tip her. She wasn’t allowed to take the tip! I didn’t know that!

After the haircuts there was a HUGE line outside!! Easily 2 hours!! Wow!!

Now it was time to get our stroller rental for the week and go in search of some yummy breakfast goodness ;)

Still to come in day 2, Cinnamon, rum, really bad pizza and beautiful lights![/

so cool, first hair cut at WDW. :thumbsup2 wow. what a great story for him to tell as he grows up. so no tip huh? good to know

your morning sounded wonderful. I can't wait until my baby is a little older and I can sneak out of bed without him waking.

can't wait to read about the rest of your day.

Awwww what a great morning! Getting out on time, some nice coffee (ok, not so nice) on the beautiful balcony, MK at rope drop and great haircuts for your boys! What could be better? :goodvibes
