j/k I knew what I was getting into when I opened this thread, even though I'm on the West Coast. Doesn't bother me to know ahead of time.

Some of that opening footage was taken from old shows.

I loved Brittany Murphy's dress (even though I'm not a fan of hers), but I thought her hair seemed a bit stiff.

I was disappointed in Nicole's dress, a bit tacky.

Charlize is probably one of the most beautiful people out there. She is so luminous.

I hated Gwen Stefani's hair. It made her head look odd shaped.

Glad to see LOTR win big!

Charlize Theron and Jennifer Aniston both looked so beautiful.

I loved Jennifer Garner and Uma Thurman's dresses and the actress from Lost in Translation's dress was cute(so was Amber Tambyln and Alica Silverstone's dresses)

I thought Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman looked horrible. Kristin Davis and Jennifer Garner looked great, as did Leonardo DiCaprio

I HATED Nicole Kidman's hair and dress. I also hated Gwen Stafani's hair. How did they actually get it to come to a point? Her hair is too blond to have those dark eyebrows and bright red lips. My DH thought she looked like a conehead.

I thought it was hysterical when Mary-Louise Parker thanked her son for making her chest look so good in her dress.

I thought Debra Messing looked striking in that dress by Mizrahi. He likes dressing pregnant women and he went crazy on this one. She looked beautiful!

I also liked the WONDER dress on Scarlett Johansson! I first thought she was Pink!

Forgive me but I watched the Joan Rivers fiasco before the show... ... she is a MESS but you get a good look at everyone. She KILLED me when she went off on Kevin Costner's child's...uh, GIRLfriend's... ring!! She was appalled by the size of it! She actually hit him and told the girl to NOT go home with him! LOL!

I was soooo disappointed with Nicole. She has become a fave of mine since she broke up with Tommy and always looks so classy. Didn't she know that the phrase is "looking GOOD is the best revenge????" Come on, girl!!

J-Lo not only didn't look good she looked MAD.... whatUPwidthat?

Catherine Zeta Jones looked like the lady she is. She's always looked very mature for her age and it makes the age difference between them not too obvious. They actually look perfect together!

Ellen Burstyn looked beautiful, also. She looked like she was just glowing.

I know I left someone out but the live show on the E comes on tomorrow!

Robin, I thought Jennifer Lopez looked ticked off as well. She hardly smiled at all and looked like she really didn't want to be there. I didn't like her hair at all either. Why dress up in a gown if you're going to put your hair in a messy ponytail?

I thought lij(elijah wood) was brave for wearing a green velvet suit with a yellow tie!

as far as johnny depp.....you expect these kind of outfits from him and vanessa....i thought the hat was the best part

Nicole Kidman has always looked perfect at these awards shows. I always look forward to seeing what she and Catherine Zeta-Jones are wearing. Nicole should fire her stylist for that outfit she wore last night.

I'll have to diagree with the Dis'er with regards to Diane Keaton! I always LOVE her individual style. She has always dressed to her own style. Nicole really needs to LAY off the botox!

I think J'Lo's dress was incredible!!! Not many can wear that color and her skin glowed. However, I agree, her attitude was in the dumps, can anyone blame her? I think she's really sad about Ben. Not that I care...I'm so sick of hearing about them. But it would explain the behaviour, then again? Isn't she supposed to be an actress? ACT - like you want to be there.

J Garner, always a delight. And I hate to say this, as much as I love Johnny Depp (he always looks UNCLEAN to me). Yuck.

Pierce of course goes without saying, the man CANNOT look bad!

I also liked Diane Keaton's speech and outfit. She is such an individual. I'm so glad she won. Her performance in the "Something's Gotta Give" was great!
