So, I noticed a lot of people here are doing the 5K tot run. I have never even heard of that before. Can someone clue me in?

I am so bummed I didn't see the race dates before I booked! I would have loved to have done it and it looks like that and the other fall race WDW has will be cancelled, this is the last year for them! I told DH one day I want to run the Princess Half Marathon down there!

Count me among those worried about DS on the plane. I just keep telling myself that we will be surrounded by other families and if there is a little meltdown, we might get a bit of sympathy. I hope!!! Luckily we have a short flight and we got him his own seat so crossing my fingers for the best.

Adding to the 5K...
This will be my first Tower of Terror 5K.

Last year was my first 5K ever and first race at Disney for the Expedition Everest. It was AWESOME...I just hope the TOT 5K matches up.

Expedition Everest...was soooo cool...they had the race where yo ustart in the parking lot..then you run through the park and behind the scense a little. Employees everywhere clapping with big Mickey Hands etc.

Then after the race, they had an obstacle course, and then a scanvenger hunt with clues where you went back in the park. It was a LOT of fun.

Then the park stays open late so you can ride some rides...although we didn't stay too late as it was crowded enough and we already road the rides a bunch earlier. We got a really cool tech shirt with a great logo...HEY I just remembered it is on my signature!!

Travel Agent called last night....OUR DISNEY STUFF IS IN!!!!

Now it is starting to seem real. Only thing is I can't go and pick the stuff up until next week b/c the rest of this week is a bust. DH and I leave for Boston first thing tomorrow morning for the Red Sox game and then a little shopping on Saturday. Need to get ready for that so no time to pick up the stuff after work. Ah...so close and yet so far.

Hi October friends! I have not gotten any planning done this week! This vacation is going to be here before I know it and I will be planning on the 16 hour drive because that will be the only time I get to sit down this month!

Lots of people run, lots of people walk, and lots of people run/walk...it was really a good mixed crowd.

How are you filling time until your vacation? - Disboards, plus being busy with life in general--DS in elem. school, DD in preschool, being in leadership in MOPS at our church, going to MOPS convention for 5 days at the end of September, soccer practices & games, gymnastics, etc., etc., etc.!

Any other info. you would like to share? - We will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary while we are there, and our son's bday. I am a big baby on the plane, so I hope I can make the trip to and from without having a nervous breakdown!

My DS is almost 4 and this is his 4th trip to DW. He's also been to DL! His birthday is during our trip and I'm so excited I can't stand it! We haven't told him yet and probably won't until the day before we go.

Don't feel bad. It took me a few minutes to figure out that a TOT run had nothing to do with toddlers. At least you had the guts to admit it firstl

Well October travelers, the quiz results are in and the majority of us pack the week we are going BUT a very very close runner up was people that are still scrambling for their suitcases the day of the trip. And, since I am one of those people that like to pack a week in advance I will be packing in just a few weeks!

New quiz for this week will be on "My biggest worry about my Disney Vacation".

So the hubby and I had a great time in Boston even if the game DID get rained out! Fenway Park is amazing and Red Sox fans are like no other fans on earth. My husband included! We got there two hours before the gates opened and went in the SECOND the gates came up. I think my husband took more pictures at Fenway then he did the day our son was born. I could only eat about half my Monster Dog! Holy Cow that was quite a meat tube! I's such a newbie!

Next on the adjenda is dh 40th B-day on 9/26 and the next weekend is DISNEY!!!!!

insanely busy!!! it passed by in a blur, dd had her vision appt- wahhhooooo no patching for disney world! and no more appts for 8 whole weeks- so thrilled. we had new bedroom furniture dropped yesterday- i finally have adult furniture for the first time ever! lol then we had hubbys cousins housewarming/wedding shower. then today we visited my grandmother then took the kids to a bday party. whew! this week shows no signs of slowing down either.

Had a pretty good weekend here. Not as busy as yours. I'm one of those last minute packers but I am going to try and do it a week before we leave this time...which means next week Glad to hear you had a good time at Fenway. Did they win or loose? (don't watch baseball)

How was the weenend? WHAT weekend? I didn't really have one, it was my weekend to work. Saturday was a hard day at work, yesterday better. Did get a break Saturday evening when rushed from work to my Inlaws 50th wedding Anniversary Party! And HEY, I've started Packing!!!!! 42 more Sleeps!
