Where are you staying?Offsite, 2 miles from the gates in a 4 bedroom house w/a pool and hot tub!
How did you pick your resort? Crunched the numbers and even with free dining we are saving a bundle b/c there are 8 of us. DH also won't swim in public pools, so we will have more space and he will be more inclined to swim with us at a house.

How are you filling time until your vacation? I homeschool and I'm a petsitter, but when that isn't keeping me busy and I'm not glued to the DIS, I've made over 40 tshirts, passports, journals, & activity books for the trip. EVERYONE thinks I have gone off the deep end!
Any other info. you would like to share? My DD will be turning 9 on our first park day 10/20! I'm so excited for all of us to be together and at MK on her birthday!

Any other info. you would like to share? - We were supposed to go in May for my daughter's birthday, but I wound up in the hospital (cancer scare, surgery) instead. She was really brave and understanding about missing her birthday, so we upgraded to our first mod for our make-up trip!

How did you pick your resort - Well my favorite is ASMo but they made all of my favorite buildings to stay preferred and I don't want to pay an extra $10 a night so we went with POP. We like to sleep cheap and spend big on our vacations.

Any other info. you would like to share? - This is the first trip for my 1yo dd and my mother. This is the first plane ride for all of us except my mother. Dh is scared LOL. We are doing the parks and then the Wonder cruise. So from 10/25 till 11/1 we will be at POP then 11/1 to 11/5th the cruise. This will be the first cruise ever for all of us. My mom is scared about that LOL. My 6yo dd will have her 7th bday on the cruise 11/2. We will also be visiting Sea World one day of our trip. I so love Sea World and could never skip it while in Florida. Petting the stingrays is my absolute favorite and on this trip we will swim with them at Castaway Cay

Good morning All! Survived the wedding. The maid of honor dress was a little tight so I think I may need to add working out to my list of things to do to get ready for Disney. Dont need all my shorts being uncomfy on the trip.

MickeyMouseClubhouse - Yes, we planned three character meals this trip. The first for ANY of us so I am excited. We are doing Tusker House breakfast, CRT (I even bought a tiara...I'm so weird) and crystal palace. How about your family?

So my Dh is pretty much letting me plan our whole trip and really isn't too into it yet. He LOVES Disney, just can't get excited till the trip is closer, he says. But last night he did ask me a few questions and brought up some good points and now...I feel like I want to revamp my whole plan! Actually I am ok with that, we don't have too many things set in stone and really only one things I have on my "must do list" so it should be ok. But boy did DH ever get "the look" last night! I explained to him THIS is why I asked for his input over a month ago when we could make ADRs! Men, geesh

Agh! my dh better not do that to me. He is super excited to be going but he never plans. He can't understand why we have to have ADR's in the first place ! He laughed at me for getting up at 6:00 am at our 90 day mark with my little notebook of adrs trying to score reservations. He still can't see how I couldn't get LeCellre (sp).

I'm already planning our next trip for a year from now, just me and my two youngest boys. DH thinks I'm nuts, we haven't gotten to this years trip yet! LOL

Any other info. you would like to share? - I went to Disney when I was little and have been "chomping at the bit" to take my girls for a year now. It wasnt in the budget and they are "prime princess phase" right now. I have been obsessing about finding a way to go when my parents suprised us with tickets to DIS and hotel stay! It was a birthday present to me, the twins and my husband (my birthday is August, the twins are July and the tickets to MNNSP were for him). When I opened the card with the note inside I started crying - I was so excited! Needless to say I have spent HOURS planning and talking about it and I'm so glad to have found the DisBoard for people like me that are counting days!

Any other info. you would like to share? This is a surprise trip for our DD8. We will be telling her the night before. I think we are telling her that her dad has to go out of town, have her go upstairs to get a suitcase and have Disney balloons in it with a note that says "Tomorrow we are flying to Disney World." Then it is also going to be a surprise that her aunt, uncle and cousins are there also!!!!

Forgot to say that we aren't doing anything outside of Disney!

Hi there! We live in Mt. Olive (right between Springfield and St. Louis). It would be neat if we lived close! Where are you all staying?
I can't wait for MNSSHP on the 6th. It will be the first one for my family. I am going to be Tinkerbell and my boys are going to be lost boys. I hope we turn out cute! My costume should be done this week and I really need to start on the boys.
