Where are you from? - Northern California

Who will be going? - Myself, DH, DDs (7 and 3), SIL and BIL will join us 1 or 2 days at Disney (they live outside of Orlando)

When will you be going? - October 10 through October 17

Where are you staying? - Regal Sun Resort for 3 nights, the rest of the time at SIL and BIL's house

How did you pick your resort - BIL got a fabulous deal through work

MNSSHP? - Probably, I know my kids would LOVE it!

How are you filling time until your vacation? -Being a full time mom, being a part time nurse, running kids to and fro, attempting to plan like crazy.

Any other info. you would like to share? - I did not realize what I had gotten myself into in planning this trip. We have been to Disneyland many times-we just show up and go do whatever. But this is such a big trip I want to make sure my girls get the most out of it.

Other plans?-SIL has got us covered for the days not at Disney. BIL and DH going to Space Center. Manatees, boat rides, butterfly encounter, shopping and any number of other things she wants to take her nieces to do. I am not involved in any of that (which is totally fine by me )

Any other info. you would like to share? - DS has high-functioning Autism, so I'm more than a little nervous about the trip - but the folks at Disney have been so wonderful helping us with all the small details. DS has had a ton of horrible misdiagnoses (Thank God doctors are wrong sometimes. So, we have a ton to celebrate!

How did you pick your resort - We can't stay anywhere else, we're addicted to BC!
MNSSHP? - Not til the kids are a little older. DH and I went before, so we'll wait a couple years for the kids.
How are you filling time until your vacation? - Disboards, playing with the kids, making t-shirts and packing
Any other info. you would like to share? - This will be our 1st trip since we've had our children, so it's DS and DD's 1st trip! We can't wait to share Disney with them!!

How are you filling time until your vacation? - Well among working full time and some OT as an L&D nurse (gotta pay for the mouse) I am obesssed with projects!!! I have my Disney planner full of ressies, lists, points of interests, you name it I got it!!! I have made countless Tshirts, autograph books, passports for Epcot, name tags, MNNSHP treat bags for the boys. I can't wait.

This will be our boys first plane ride and first trip to Disney. My husband and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary on October 5th. We honeymooned in the world. I can't wait to see my three year old son's face when he sees the castle. To him, THAT is Disney! We will also do a day at Seaworld and Clearwater beach. My kids want to see the ocean plus it will break up the vacation a little with a little relaxing and laying in the sun for mom!!!

Four weeks away, can hardly stand it!!!

How did you pick your resort? Dh and I went to Disney for Baseball's Winter meetings a few years back adn Swan/Dolphin were the host hotels, fell in love with the location, walking into Epcot through the International Gateway is awesome!

How are you filling time until your vacation? The DIS, trying to drop a few pounds before we leave, training for a few races (stupid me registered for a race the weekend after Disney, yikes!), trying not to drive DH insane with plans
Any other info. you would like to share? We are so excited my dad and his GF are joining us, my dad has only been once about 20 years ago and his GF has never been. And of course it will be my DS's first trip, so excited to see his reaction to it all!

I'm contemplating taking my youngest nephew (age 7) to Universal for a day. He's the only one of the kids who hasn't been there yet. Me and my sister are also going to be running the Tower of Terror 5K on Oct 24. This is going to be the first race for both of us.

How did you pick your resort - One of our favorite resorts and mainly I have a conference there 26-28, so my company is paying for 4 nights.
MNSSHP? - Not this time, do not want to stay out to late with the youngen.
How are you filling time until your vacation? - We have a 5 year old and a 8 week old, they fill all of our time
Any info. you would like to share? - Was not planning on going back to WDW this year, but was very excited when my boss said I was going to the annual conference. Work/family vacation and my sister is flying down to see her new niece which works out great, because DW can have help with the 2 DD's when I am at the conference.

Amberg - Love the potato head cake idea. My hd is celebrating 40 in Disney but he would kill me if I had a cake sent to our table. Still...I DO LOVE CAKE so who knows.

Pixidust Princess - We will be at the same place/same time. If you see me hanging by the pool early in the morning with a blueberry muffin and a diet coke stop and say hi!

GoHerd1028 - Welcome aboard the October bus. It's always nice to have some guys on board to balance things out. And who says the wife does all the planning!

Paddingon Bear - We are trying to come up with costume ideas in case we do MNSHP too! I'm thinking Jedi's b/c the costumes will be easy to pack and transport although I would love to see my husband in a big Homer Simpson head!

tigereye - Another little one with a first plane ride to look forward too. Are you as worried about it as I am? I have visions of being escorted off the plane.

smkiya - Ohh, I like the way your husband thinks. A private pool will probably seem like heaven half way through our trip.

Jen42002 - QUADS!!!? How AWESOME. You are going to have some great photo ops with your group. You have to share when you come back please.

mickeymouseclubhouse - I wish I could be there on the morning you tell you kids they are going to disney. Why couldn't my folks have every though to do something like that? I bet the secret is killing you though!

jennsmail - Your right about the folks at disney being amazing. I'm sure they will make your trip magical!!! And you are also right about doctors being wrong sometimes; been down that road once myself. So glad you have something to celebrate.

Fall 1 -We can't wait to see disney through the eyes of our little one. This trip is going to be a whole new experience.

giginator - My ds loves the castle too and I can't wait to see his face. Are you planning on doing CRT while you are there? We have ADR for breakfast mid week. (DH laughs that it is more for me then ds...I bought a tiara )

Loritemp - walking into Epcot through the gateway would be a dream. ah...maybe someday!

Sheilaf - I love Universal! Can you say "Spider Man!" I say do the Universal. You can't go wrong. Last time DH and I went in Oct. the place was so empty we rode everything 2 or three times no waiting.

cherio - WAIT...your planning your SECOND trip before you even leave for your first. I'm so JEALOUS!

Buzznina - SCORE! What a nice company perk that turned out to be. The last place I got to go for work was White Plains NY. Sigh...just not the same.

Yes, it's definitely a budget-stretcher for us! If we were staying longer than 3 nights, we probably couldn't pull it off, but I keep finding ways to justify it to myself. Ah well, if it's a little longer till the whole family gets to go back to WDW next time, it will probably still be worth it!

How did you pick your resort? We have stayed on site but typically use my bosses timeshare through interval. we like having washer, dryer, full kitchen etc.

How are you filling time until your vacation? The DIS, planning, running after the girls, attempting to drop some pregnancy weight!!!( DD#2 is already 9 months old!!! better late than never!

going off Disney?? We will be doing the Universal/Islands of Adventure one day, the halloween horror there the first night (sans DD and FIL lol) and Seaworld!

Any other info. you would like to share? Well, Sydney has been on a plane before, we went on a cruise when she was 18months but first trip to Disney for her AND my SIL (28) so i am soooo thrilled to experience that with them!! Especially since she is obsesseddd with princesses!!
Also, we are leaving Savannah home, she will be 10 months when we go and we just felt it would be nice to let our older DD have us to herself and also easier!! i am feeling kind of bad but I know my parents will spoil her rotten while we are there!

Good Morning All -

My crazy month leading up to Disney start today. Took the day off from work and myself, dh and ds are heading to Syracuse, NY where I am in a wedding. Today is helping the bride get ready and rehearsal dinner and tomorrow is the wedding. Then we come home and I have a Labor Day party on Sunday.

Next week my dh and I took Friday off and we are heading to Boston for a Red Sox game and a little shopping on Saturday. DS will stay with Nana-pappa.

The week after that my dh has a two day hunter saftey course so ds and I will be on our own.

The week after THAT...(oh my, getting tired just reading this) will be my dh's 40 birthday bash. He wanted a "Rock-A-Hula Luau" like they had in Grease 2. Please don't ask. heehee

Then...drum roll please... The week after that WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY!!!!!!

TwoGirls4me - I can understand your mixed feelings about leaving your littlest one home, but this will be such a special time for Sydney to spend with you and dh. AND...I have a sneaky feeling you guys are going to be coming to disney many many many times in the future.

that's nice - dh and I were really considering POP but decided to stay with what we knew. Now, if we get a "bounce back" for next year...hmmm maybe...

Wow! You sure are going to be busy. The silver lining is that it will make time fly a lot quicker and you'll be in Disney before you know it! Do you have any character meals planned for your trip?

How are you filling time until your vacation? - Obsessing, Obsessing, Obsessing! Lots of DIS, disney-related activities for the kids (making mickey tie-dyes, disney movie nights, etc)
This is our FIRST TRIP TO WDW!!! The kids are excited, but DH says I've got them beat! We are doing MK for a few days, then off to visit my grandmother in the area.
