So, honestly we've never had a desire to stay at the Contemporary, but because of COVID, Disney moved our GF reservation to the CR so we're looking forward to a new experience. Anyone else out there who's first time at CR it will be because you had to change resorts?

We just got moved to Contemporary Garden Wing from PORR. This is our first time in a Deluxe. Kind of excited about that, but we had the Royal Rooms reserved which have a more Disney theme. The Contemporary rooms look nice and will be bigger so we'll see.

I have stayed at the contemporary before, it is nice but the main reason we loved it was because of The monorail, is that even going to be open?

We got moved from the Yacht to the Contemporary for July 20th trip. Never really had a desire to stay there, but going to make the best of it.

We were supposed to be there in a garden view room and since we check in right before they open we got moved to BLT theme park view 1 bedroom.

our goal is to stay at a different resort every trip so we’re excited!

We got moved there from AKL. It was the 1 resort my husband said he didn't want to stay at. Not sure if we will keep it, or call about maybe downgrading to CBR. This was a 6 night trip for us and we were only doing 3 park days, so planned to spend a lot of time at the resort. I know it's considered an upgrade cost wise, but not really for our purposes.

We didn’t get moved because of COVID, but we did move ourselves! We had a 10 night BCV stay booked, but we are concerned about transportation, so we changed 5 of our BCV nights to BLT so we can walk to MK for 2 of our park days instead of having to take a bus. I’m really excited to stay at BLT, now I just hope the monorail is operational.

Stayed at the Contemporary several years ago and you can't beat the walk to MK (honestly being able to walk "home" after a long day is even better). Great food options and views. Downside for me is the resort needs updating.

My family was moved from CBR to CR Garden Wing Standard View, 7/24-8/2. We are a little unsure about the move, we were really looking forward to the skyliner. The garden wing seems out of the way and kind of an afterthought. Anyone have positive things to say about the garden wing to change our minds?

We were moved from AKL to CR. Never really wanted to stay at CR but looking at the positives: we have a room, we can walk to MK & monorail to Epcot & I have heard really good things about The Wave!

I booked there for April 2021, but I’m hoping things are better then and I can either 1) go on the cruise we booked or 2) AKL is open and I can book there instead or 3) can get a good package deal on another resort.

ETA: I am debating about changing it to CCV. I booked the garden wing at CR and now I’m not so sure. I really wanted AKL to try this time around.

The rooms are so much bigger at the contemporary and love being in one room.

We had a 6 night booked at Riviera.... for June so obviously that got rescheduled... we got 4 nights at Riviera (our home resort) and hubby chose 2 nights at Bay Lake .. mainly for the walkability to MK for our almost 6 year old : )

We were lucky enough to be moved to the Contemporary Resort Main Tower from Caribbean Beach For our July 7 night stay. First time for us and we are very much looking forward to it. This can also be a logistics move by Disney, too. The more people in walking distance to/from MK then the less buses are needed to run and such. Reduced park capacity but also that capacity is a little more centralized and easier to deal with a reduction in operation capacity. Just a thought.
