Welcome - welcome to Cori4Disney! It feels like I've known you forever - oh wait - I have! LOL! We're going on a Mickey Ship - hip hip hooray!

Sea lice - everytime I say that DH laughs - but, I will probably head out and see what I can find in that department -- bostonlass - do you have the link to the sealice site? I can just imagine me going to the pharmacy here in Cleveland asking for that? They'd be rolling in the aisles! But - hey - who cares -- we're going on a Mickey Ship!!

Mrs. Scottohiocpa - do all of Ohio have their kids home on Friday? What a LONG week! The end of the 3rd grading period! Eek - report cards come home next Friday!!
I've got my fingers crossed for your job interview! I'm sure you did just great!

Gotta run - have to finish getting ready for a work meeting this morning! That should be tons of fun walking the grounds in a foot of mud! UGH! BUT - who cares - we're going on a MICKEY SHIP - HIP HIP HOORAY!

Goofy601-I think you and Cori4disney will have a very eventful trip!!. My DH, after reading the list Disneysailor complied, said "He has my most sincere condolences"!! This is for Mr. Goofy601 driving from Ohio in a van with his DM, DW, DF and all those kids!!

I went to work (I job shadow my handicap students) Friday in a greenhouse. It was filled with lots of flowering plants and palm trees. They had fun music (Jimmy Buffet) playing. Oh, boy I am ready!!

cori4disney-Welcome! It's really like you've been with us all along though since goofy601 has been sharing her enthusiasm about traveling with you since the beginning of this cruise meet thread. You all should have a lot of fun on the ride down. You may have to tie goofy601 down though to contain her excitement!!

Mrs. Scottohiocpa- Good luck with that job interview!!

Sea lice- I'm not sure what to do about that one, haven't bought anything yet. I was already having nightmares about the trip last night without worrying about sea lice. I couldn't find the sign up for the Palo brunch and I kept searching all over the ship and ending up at the wrong place. Then this guy asked me if I wanted to all go sign up together, I looked at him funny and he said never mind. I then realized I had forgotten my DIS pin, didn't know where it was and thought maybe he was someone from our group. Strange dream, I'm loosing it, right? The worse part is there are still about 3 weeks to go so between the worrying (I tend to do that) and the excitement (it doesn't take much to excite me) I'm afraid I'll be a wreck by the time I meet you all. Of course, by then I'll be on the ship so for four days, all will be right in the world!! OK, sorry for all the rambling.

Welcome cori4disney! We have a dd who is also 11. She is looking forward to meeting Danielle and all the other young ladies on this trip.

Spent the day off Friday with the kids. I had a bad head cold, but I seem to be in much better shape today.

HOLY COW! Only 3 more Wonder sailings, then it is OUR TURN!!!

I made these reservations in July of 2002, so I have waited a long, long time. Now we are just down to waiting for the Wonder to come only 3 more times.

Welcome Corrine! I can't wait to meet you all. Anyone up for a scrabble game at some point during the cruise? I played my 7 yo the other night, and once he gets the concept better, he is going to be one heck of a scrabble player. You should of seen some of the words he was coming up with!

goofy - The site is www.safesea.com . I had never heard of it either but now I know why....the safesea site has a map showing where they are prevalent and they don't seem to appear in the northeast. Originally I wasn't going to buy any because I didn't think we'd be in the water at all.....we're more pool people than ocean people. But then I caught a glimpse of the 5-7 schedule and I think they include at least one activity where they are in the ocean so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Then again i'm a number one worry wart.

disneysailor - I had a nightmare last night too but it had to do with a plane crash. Suffice it to say I'm freaked out today. I may just have a bloody mary or two on the plane the day we leave.

Well I woke up wicked late today and my post office is closed. I was supposed to mail out about 5 things that I sold on ebay today so now I have to shlep over to Peabody which is 1/2 hour away to make it before theirs closes. This cold is making me sluggish and wicked tired.

I went thru the ordering process there, and saw the 10% off, but couldn't get it to offer me free shipping! Do you remember what you did? Maybe it was a special that's over now. What do you think? Try http://www.nidaria.com for Safesea. I don't think I am going to buy it for this trip. We used it during our trip to Mexico last October. It is really for the use of jellyfish stings (sea lice is actually jellyfish). It is very difficult to put on! Liz hates it. Maybe I will purchase some and only use if there is a large population of jellyfish present. Does DCL sell it?

well good news my dh called today from germany only 17 more hours of flying and he will be back in the states and it should be about 6 mores days til we meet up!!!

I really hope we don't have to worry about sea lice that could really put a damper on a vac.
did anyone else get a postcard sent to their kids dd got hers and cannot quit showing anyone! It was from Minnie inviting her to visit her on the ship it is very cute.

well back to trying to make this my dh's house again.

Sorry....safesea.net is the site I used. What I did was I went in, ordered two bottles and then I wasn't going to buy it so I left the site. When I left the site there was a popup saying don't go.....then they offered free shipping if I continued the order. Maybe it was just a one time thing?

I went to Sports Authority to get snorkel equipment....was psyched to find a set for $14.99............then it dawned on me that I can't use it since I wear glasses, so I didn't buy them. Anyone have any suggestions? I can't see a thing without my glasses and contacts bother my eyes way too much.

*sigh*

On the bright side I bought some shorts and they actually fit!

Good Morning All!
It's EARLY - I couldn't sleep anymore - and am going laundry (yes, again) -- and I have thoughts of filling out paperwork - checking the luggage - going through the medicine cabinet to get the little this and thats ready for the cruise...this trip is additictive!

guardwife - None of our children received any type of postcard from any of the Disney characters - could it be from your travel agent? Might be you just had a better travel agent than we did - well, I'm sure most people had a better agent than we did! Oh well - we're still going on a Mickey Ship! I am very happy that your husband is making his safe return home. My little brother and cousin were just sent out about a month ago ~ I just keep them in my thoughts and prayers every day!

My friend brought over little Sleeping Beauty "slippers" for Cara - she was tropping through the house last night. I can not wait to take her photo with the princesses - I just hope she's not like her big brothers - and all excited about it until it's her turn and tuck tail and run!

Hello! Thanks for the link! I sent them a message and will see if it is too late to get a postcard sent to one or all of the kids!

It was a busy day of last minute this and thats. MIL and I bought several pairs of shorts for DH that were way too big -- which is good - so we had to go and exchange those...he found a dress shirt that fits much better...we're getting there. I still have not finished getting all the little this and thats together...but I did start to get my Avon order together...for chap lips, lotions, soaps, smell goods...I'm ready - so ready!

Only nineteen days until we all get on the ship !!! and only 17 days until we leave CT, laundry and all our troubles behind!!!

I've started transferring our stuff from my husband's closet (he'll be happy) to the suitcases I've had sitting all over the place upstairs. We have one pretty good size suitcase just for shoes, shoes and more shoes and 2 sets of snorkel gear. I can't imagine packing for a seven day cruise. There are so many different things to do, it's hard to limit the packing. The Easter stuff dh brought down with the suitcases never made it out of the boxes so I think it will just go right back up. The little girl from up the street came over yesterday and asked my dd, "why is it such a mess up here?" I'm afraid it will only get worse. My dryer is not working and we can't get the repairman to call us back. If I let things spin around for about 3 hours they kind of get dry but it takes all day to do two loads of laundry!

Well, happy packing. I hope you all can weed out more than I've been able to.

Wow. Looks like we're the only family on this thread at the main seating. Oh, I feel so left out now! You guys are going to party and have a good time without us every night! LOL

Anyone else stying on the ship in Nassua? We don't plan on getting off, going to take advantage of an uncrowded ship.
