Who's playing the Black Friday game?

I mean, buying the items and then returning for a price adjustment? Or, putting merchandise on hold and then going in and buying it? If you have any other MOs, please list those as well.

We don't do that. The items we want will not be price adjust as they do have limited quantities and it is a gift card offer. Many stores now do price adjustment as gift cards now and I rather not have a bunch of gift cards.

Most stores put an end to people buying stuff on sale and then returning it after the sale for the higher price years ago. Stores in my area give you the last sale price if it was within the last 90 days on any item returned without a receipt and the refund is issued in the form of a giftcard. Never saw the benefit to doing that anyway.

If the layaway lines weren't nutty crazy I might consider putting an item in there before black friday and then buying it then, but I'd be in that line longer than the one waiting to get into the store I think?

Just to clarify, I think the OP meant buying the item before Black Friday. They would buy it at the higher price, then take it back to the store and have the price "adjusted" down to the BF price (and get the difference back.)

Yes but many stores will only give gift cards out plus line to get price adjustment are long so I don't really see the benefit. And some items where the deal is a gift card won't be match or adjusted. Same for some that say limited quantities.

I know that WM will NOT price adjust for Black Friday deals this year. They specifically stated that.
