Who's making plans for 2010 Harry Potter?

As soon as I heard the HP announcement, my family and I started making plans to go when it opens. I'd like to be there within the opening week, but I don't know how realistic that is, because as soon as they announce a more definitive opening date everything will be booked solid.

We always stay onsite at the club level at the HRH, so I'm sure that will be no different for HP, unless it's all booked up. I was hoping to get a few friends who are also HP fans into coming along (most of them have never been to Orlando before...it's a shame I know) but they just don't seem as enthusiast about it. I mean, really, why wouldn't you want to go to USO? It's been 2 years since I've been, and I really miss it! (though, I am still kind of sad that Back to the Future won't be there)

We are definitely going for HP - we'll be there Dec 2010 - so excited, just can't wait!!:banana: :banana:

But one question - I have some friends who have asked for my help booking their 2010 florida trip - they are looking at going at the end of May - do you think they will get to see HP ???:confused3

I've really sold them on Universal and have really hyped HP up (they are big fans) and I can't help feeling they will be disappointed in UO if they miss it - and I can't have that!!:lmao:

I would like to think HP will be ready by May of 2010 so I think it's a good bet. As long as the construction schedule stays on schedule, they should be able to experience HP. We will find out as the months roll by.

I am also planning to go to Universal in May 2010. I really hope they stay on schedule. :guilty: If not there are many other things to see, since this will be my first time at USO. I've only ever been to the US in California.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know what, normally, is the crowd like at US in May? I will also be going to WDW and I heard that May is a good time to go. Just after spring break and right before the summer rush. I would imagine US is the same way.

::yes::

Another local here who can't WAIT for HP! Very exciting to see the construction happening...

Speaking of construction, I was in IOA yesterday and there was an enormous building being built right behind Jurassic Park. Could that be Hogwarts? It looked like it was pretty far along, too.

We can't wait for it. We go to IOA every so often to see what progress they made and I beleive the last time we went last week we saw the Enchanted Oak was knocked down making way for something. I was sad to see that go I thought they would keep it and incorporate it in but I know it is going to look awesome per the drawing they showed. Can't wait for AP previews we are taking off those days.

I've been planning on 2010 ever since HP was announced. Now that the completion date is pushed back I'm thinking about 2011.

Has anyone bought their 7 day passes yet? Do you think the passes they are selling now ($94) will be good for HP? I'm worried about them tacking on an additional fee.
