Who's making plans for 2010 Harry Potter?

UGH :sad2: I love WDW but what are they thinking!

it's just something that is a fad that they can get some miles off of.

remember when disney had the want to be a millionaire show?
(toy story mania is in that location now)

i enjoyed it the first trip a lot.
went to it 6 times in 2 days.

then the next year hit it only once as it was so predictable.

it ran it's course and many lost interest in it.
it took up a lot of park time by going to it.
the long wait for it to open, the beginning set up by the emcee and then the game.

i'm sure american idol will follow the same path.

it might be great the first time but not a repeat show for the majority unless their kid or member of their group is in it..

my license plate has read MUGGLE for years.
i will be there, alone, but there. :surfweb:

Exactly, I see it as an attraction that won't hold it's appeal for very long or for people that visit often. I wish they would spend the time, space and money making unique Disney themed attractions......think Everest or Soarin'...these are rides they do well and don't lose their appeal. I'm not a fan of many of the decisions Disney has been making lately. :sad2: Selling land off for the Four Seasons to build on, cutting back Fantasmic performances and for some unknown reasons cutting back on a lot of the live entertainment in the parks to name a few. Sorry for the ramble....:)

the themed rides/attractions they have now and years ago, are the ones that are traditional. snow white, peter pan, dumbo, etc. they for the most part, follow a story line. everyone enjoys doing those type of rides on each visit.

i think splash mt was the last in mk that really went big with the theme and idea. it has paid off well as most guests that go on it, really do enjoy it.

i do disney but am tired of the same old same old.

they don't expand in the different sections of the park.

dhs and epcot seem to be the 2 parks they have added to lately.

it would be a good thing for them to add more exciting rides that adults would go for....

and while they are at it, have more food places with variety at dhs and ak...

at universal, they sometimes take out rides/attractions that are still popular with the guests in order to open up something new.

that change is hard for me.

i still am holding a grudge for taking out king kong.
the mummy rules but miss banana breath

and miss the ghostbusters. i know, i stand alone on that one.

i guess universal is trying to remove attractions that have become stale and not as well received as others.

when something new is added to universal, it makes me eager to go back and try out the new ride/attraction.

i have the simpsons waiting for me this year to go on.
and the new roller coaster in the next year and a half will be another plus to go on.

if you go in 2010 during october, take in HHN...........
you'll see another side of universal then.

I would definitely want to check that out. I work for AAA so we keep getting material in for it and the rep came in to talk to us about it. Never been so if I make the trip for HP, I'll have to go!

jenny, you have a very intelligent wonderful man.
he sounds like a keeper.

anyone that misses the ghostbusters is A - OK with me....

lol everytime the movie comes on, he talks about the old attraction. every SINGLE time, never fails

We're going February 2010 for my DD's 11th b'day ....so can everyone pleeeaaassseee have their fingers and toes crossed that it is open in time .. otherwise there will be 4 children who are a little disappointed ... of course not too much as we still have the rest of US and IOA :thumbsup2

I really think February is way to soon...I'm thinking HP will not be complete until the summer. I guess it depends on the construction schedule.

I definitely plan to make the AP preview! My husband is looking forward to it as well.

I would not count on that at all. Trying to remember when they premiered something so big in winter. They usually debut the big stuff in Spring/Early summer. February is way too early.

Oh no how awful .. I thought it was due to be done end of 2009 ... Oh what a shame!!

Thanks

I also heard Dec 2009/Jan 2010. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

When they announced HP, that was the original target date. It's since been pushed back to a definate 2010.

We are so there! My husband is afraid it will be too crowded if we go right away, so he is leaning towards waiting till its been open a couple months. If it were up to me, I would be there opening day, I think that would be so much fun. The last time I was at Universal was right before the Mummy ride opened, so its been a few years. I'm really a Disney fanatic:cheer2: !
