Anyone else planning on spending Thanksgiving 2008 with DVC? Although we won't be at WDW, we'll be using DVC at HHI, for our third year in a row. So who else is joining me in using DVC, either at WDW or Vero Beach or right with me at HHI?

I know this probably don't count but we'll be there the two weeks before Thanksgiving.:)

We'll be there Nov 22-Nov 30. Does Disney have Black Friday Sales too?LOLOLOL

We are currently booking a day by day for Nov. 24th to Dec.4th.;) Will it be a zoo??? That is the million $ question.
Anyone do Thanksgiving before? If so speak up.

We'll be there! We arrive 11/23...still working on our day-by-day (tentatively plan to leave 12/2)...

This will be our 6th T-giving at Disney...and believe it or not, yes there are Black Friday sales at DTD!!! Not quite the same thing as the mall...but if you've got Virgin Megastore gift recipients on your list, they had quite the Black Friday sale last month!

Crowds are there...but if you use fastpass, arrive early, and plan a bit, they're manageable...it's the most crowded of the times we go (we also go in January--we leave Friday--YAY!!!) and May...we do a lot more looking than riding...and eating! (Well, we do as much eating when it's not crowded as we do when it is...I just make sure to have ADRs done well ahead of time...but we go often enough now that we don't mind if we miss some rides due to lines that are longer than we feel like handling)...

The only crowds that we find unpleasant are nights at DTD (from about 7 on it's uncomfortably crowded (for us, anyway) there), and EMH at night at MK...for some reason it seems even more crowded once the sun goes down than it does in the afternoons! But you gotta go after dark (or leave after sunset) at least once--Cinderella's castle lit up for Christmas is breathtaking!

Our best T-giving dinners so far: last month we had our T-giving meal at CA Grill and it was special...really, really special. Our favorite other than that is the Garden Grill at the Land at Epcot...excellent traditional turkey feasting there!

Last month DianeSchlicht organized a DISMeet at VWL the Sat after T-giving...that was great! And VWL all dressed up for Christmas is worth the trip over to see!

We love T-giving at "The World"...it's our tradition now and part of why we bought into DVC ... hopefully you'll love it just as much...

Simba's Mom,

We are seriously thinking about thanksgiving weekend @ HH again. We enjoyed it so much last time and after 2 trips to WDW we need a break. Hope Chuck and the gang are still there next November.

We'll be there the 23rd-29th. Looking forward to it myself. This years Thanksgiving was the absolute worst one for me that anyone could ever have.

Hoping 2008 is a much better year and looking foward to being at my happy place on Thanksgiving.

While I am at it I hope everyones New Year is as good as it can possibly be.

Love the bright forecast, see ya there.

Count us in! We'll be there from 11/23-12/1. Just one more day to go for my day-by-day ressie! We're doing a split stay at BCV and AKV's concierge.

We'll be there with my parents for their first trip to WDW. We are booked at SSR currently but keeping our fingers crossed for VWL 1bdrm at 7 months. There is a College Basketball tourney at WDW that weekend that our hometown team will be playing in so we can add that to the many other things we plan to do from the 24th to the 29th.

Hoping to get reservation for the week of Thanksgiving 2008!! Waiting:surfweb: to find out if the kids have off the whole week from school...

We'll be at SSR from November 25 to 30! My sister and her family are joining us. This will be my nephew's first trip to WDW. He will be 8. My son is 6 so it will be a lot of fun being together. We'll have a full house with eight of us total.

Any ideas on Thanksgiving dinner? We are thinking of making it ourselves at the room but not sure how well that would work.

It should be fun!

...if you pre-order you can get a complete Thanksgiving Dinner from either Publix or Winn-Dixie.

Of course, you'll need a car to pick up everything.

It MIGHT be worth looking into.........

We finished booking two standard view studios at BWV for thanksgiving. We are checking in Wednesday and out on Sunday! So excited to be going to WDW over Thanksgiving with the family!
