Who's in for GREECE and TURKEY, June 15 2003????

We are looking at Rome in Limo for Rome - what did you book with them specifically? I saw they had some itineraries and we've been trying to figure out what we want to do. When you booked, did you email with them or just book online or what? What about payment? How do they do that?

I stared by email with Jay from Rome in Limo. They do everything online so booked online and secured reservation with a credit, all payments are in cash by Euros at the end of the day price does not include gratuities. We booked Rome and Florence / Pisa. By all reviews I have read they seem quite good. I really wanted someone to handle everything including tickets but no one seems to do that. Also the museums in Florence are closed the day we are there according to RIL.

Price: I am hoping the dollar is strong or stronger when we go. euros today may not be euros on June. So yes the price is quite expensive and we added a private tour guide for Rome.

This being my first time and my dd ( 10 & 12 ) wife has been to Europe many times growing up I wanted to make sure we were happy. I like going on excursions with Disney but felt that I would get more out of this on my own. I haven't decided on what to do in the other ports yet. Being that my wife's extended family is in Greece we hope to see the ones in Athens and I am calling an audible and calling for a beach day in Mykonos.

Thanks - I filled out the "contact us" form on their page and got a response very quickly, so we're going to email with them for a bit to determine exactly what we want and then make our reservation. We want to be back at the ship no less than 2 hours before departure, so we'll want to be back by 4:30. We know this will limit our time in Rome but will alleviate any anxiety about missing the ship for Nathan who prefers us to do DCL excursions exclusively :) I think it's a good compromise. And since we've seen the "big things" already, we should be able to plan a nice day to still see a lot but not over-do it.

Sadly we have the cancel, unable to get that much time off in the summer time. Rebooking to a mid August Alaska cruise so its not all totally bad news! You all have fun!

Tired mom of 3 boys - Karen, Mike, Todd (17), Andrew (15), Jacob (13) - we're still in!

Our boys are the same ages as yours. 17 and 15 when we sail. In fact, Nathan will turn 17 in Villefranche.

Let's all take a moment to celebrate Walt Disney's birthday today - for without him, we would not have the Disney experiences we've had and are yet to come.

Thanks, Walt! May your legacy continue.

Sorry to see you go! We were on the Fantasy cruise with you.:). I know you will love Alaska!!!

Enjoy,

Marni

Great! We are traveling with two other families whose boys will be 16, 13, 13, 11, and 11. Not a girl around except for the moms!

Popping in to say Hi!!!

Any guesses when the Greece and Turkey excursions will be posted??? Can't wait!

We booked our tour with Rome in Limo this morning. We've requested that we return by 4:30 PM to the port even though we are scheduled to depart at 6:30 PM so that we'll have a buffer. These are the specific sites we've included as places we would like to see during our tour if time permits.

The Forum
Circus Maximus
Spanish Steps
Palatine Hill
Mamertine Prison
Capitoline Hill
Victor Emmanuel monument to be able to go to the top for the view of the city.

I also booked our pre-flight hotel in ATL, so that's one more thing off my list!

I am anxiously awaiting the Greece and Turkey excursions too! I have an idea of what we'd like to see in Athens and Ephesus and I've sort of put on hold researching doing it on our own until I see what Disney offers (and at what price!)

I did notice that Barcelona is now listed as a port adventure location but as of last night, no excursions are listed. I was hoping this was a sign they are updating the port adventures....

we are still in, clairelow

claire, kev, isaac ( 11 ) and harvey ( turns 9 while on cruise )
also my mum and dad are coming along too!!! in seperate cabin

Plot thickens ... Barcelona is now off the Port Adventure listing :scared1:
PS ... definitely want to go to Delos while in Mykonos ... want to see the birthplace of Artemis and Apollo!

What scares you about that? Do you think they are changing the starting port? Maybe just redoing the adventures ....... I hope!

As we make it to the Rome port, will we see the Costa Concordia? I see they anticiapte 'floating' the vessel in summer 2013.
