Who's Honeymoon is it Anyways????

So here we are…..Thursday, September 30th at our 2nd Hollywood Studios Day! :cool1: We started out the morning with the Indiana Jones stunt show. Would you believe all the times I’ve gone and I’ve never seen this show? I think we all ended up loving it. They picked people from the audience and there was this “tourist” from Mexico who was put in all kinds of stupid situations and it was sooo funny!! :lmao: We find out at the end that he was part of the show! I kept telling Peter he’s got to be part of it because he’s acting too dumb to not be! I wish I would have been picked, but really, I was being picked for a lot of things, so I can’t complain. I definitely recommend this show!

Next it was on to Beauty & the Beast. Yep…I cried….I always do! :sad1:

I just think it’s such a powerful story and I get so happy to just be there and this time with my new husband. Every time I cry, though, Victoria has to say, “look my Mom’s crying”. Kids!! Gotta love ‘em! We just went around hitting all our favorites again or things we didn’t get to on day one. We had 4:40pm ADR’s at Hollywood & Vine as part of the Fantasmic package. This package gave us priority seating aT Fantasmic. This is a buffet type restaurant. It was ok….not the greatest. Our server was awesome, though and it was set up like an old time 50’s diner. We were presented with chocolate covered strawberries as a wedding congratulations. Peter loved them….me, I liked the chocolate!

Then we were off to see Fantasmic…..but Victoria wanted to see the finale of American Idol. Ok, kids, we can’t do both and I PAID EXTRA for Fantasmic!!! So, guess who won??!! ME!!! I tell you though, the walk for the “special entrance” to Fantasmic for the package was LONG!! LONG, LONG, LONG!!! OMG!!!! It’s like are we ever going to get there? And we were soooooo tired by then and it was not well marked at all. I think next year I will just pass on this. It’s beautiful and I wanted Peter to see it, but unless we can walk in 20 minutes before the show in the regular entrance, nope, not gonna do it. All in all, I still love HS and it’s still my favorite park! :cloud9:

We interrupt this trip report for a late breaking new announcement.......we are booked for Port Orleans French Quarter for 2011!!!! You may now return to your regular reading......:lmao: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:    :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

How exciting! :yay: Are you going during free dining? I would love to hear more details. Time to start a new PTR ;)

That's nice you got to go back to your favorite park again. I'm looking forward to finally seeing Beauty and the Beast - and I will probably cry too! My kids always point out when I'm crying, just like Victoria does to you. I think it's a kid thing :lmao: So the Fantasmic dinner package isn't really worth it, huh? That is good to know. Great update!

Hey Erin......Yep, it's during Free Dining again! Believe me I so want to start my PTR, but I really need to finish 2010's tr, don't you think?? :confused3

As for the Fantasmic package, I really didn't think it was necessary. Maybe if it's extremely busy, but that's hard to predict. I wouldn't go to Hollywood & Vine again even if I did do the package!

October 1st……Would you believe another EPCOT DAY and we still haven’t seen all the countries in the World Showcase???!!! :confused3 Arrrggggg!!!! My plans were to spend a leisurely morning at the Animal Kingdom, go to the hotel to relax and then head out to MNSSHP…..yeah, that didn’t happen!!! Victoria’s favorite park, as I’ve said before, is EPCOT and specifically Future World…..Mission Space anyone??? AGAIN??? How many times does this make it now?? But we did get in Living with the Land

and Finding Nemo again.

Yes, that's Victoria laying down in her clamshell mobile. She was upset that Peter and I wanted to ride in our own this time around... :sad1:

We did have lunch right there at the Land and I thought it was wonderful. I loved the roast pork! Victoria was asked if she wanted to take part in the little parade they were doing, so that was kind of neat, although she says she was embarrassed. I don’t believe that for a second!!! pirate:

What was really neat is that we ended up talking with a Disney Security officer whose name is Justin and he is from Mass. He asked if we would be able to answer a trivia question about the 4 parks….Me? Trivia about Disney? Yeah, bring it, Dude!! So the question was name the famous symbols for each of the park…C’mon….a little harder please! He was amazed that I said the “Ear Tower” for DHS as most people say it’s the hat. I was right. Thank you. For that, he gave us Fast Passes to Test Track! Yes!! Mama’s favorite ride! There’s some Disney magic for you Peter!!! :wizard: I tried to explain how special that is, but I really don’t think it was sinking in very well.

After lunch we headed back to the hotel for a short bit and then it was off to MNSSHP for 4pm. Yes, thanks to everyone on the Disboards I knew we could get in at that time.

Do you know what I forgot??? THE DARNED COSTUMES!!!! I FORGOT TO PACK THE STUPID COSTUMES!!! :scared1: OMG!!!! I could not believe it! Of all the things to forget. Are you kidding me? I didn’t take many pictures here. Number one we were all pretty tired. I will make sure we have an entire day of rest before doing the party next year! And I was pretty upset that we didn’t have costumes. Victoria really wanted to take advantage of the shorter lines, so we rode Splash Mountain and BTMRR quite a few times in a row. We also watched the first of the parades. That was such a cool parade but again, I am not one for being pushed, squeezed, and stepped on, so I didn’t enjoy it or take as many pics as I would have liked. Why oh why can’t anyone understand the concept of “personal space”. :headache: I know, I know…..it’s a parade and that’s to be expected but, ugh!! We were in the front row (sitting down) by the rope up in Frontierland.

The cm’s pass out candy during the parade so that was neat. We ended up watching Hallowishes on the bridge separating the hub from Tomorrowland. That’s a good place to watch, I think. I wish I would have gotten my pics done with more characters! Oh, and would you believe we did not do Haunted Mansion during the party???!! Yeah, one of the things I was looking forward to the most just didn’t happen, so no “special” photopass pics with the ghosts!! That’s going to be number one on the list of things to do next time. Did anyone find it incredibly dark during the party? I would have thought the lighting would have been a bit better! I know they want it to be creepy, but I couldn’t see! I also didn’t get to see the Villians show. Another thing that will be a must since we’ve already seen the parade! As you can tell, this was getting towards the end of the trip and we were just plain exhausted! I think next year I will definitely plan the party earlier in the vacation! I’m pretty sure we hit all the candy stations and we had tonz of candy to bring home! There was a lot of it! I loved the music they played throughout the party --- we love that spooky stuff!!! :goodvibes

Did I miss that you booked for 2011?!?!?!? :cool1:

I'm green with envy, we probably won't go in 2011, I have no idea WHEN we'll get back. Sigh...

I'm still loving the TR! :thumbsup2

Aww

I wish I could plan a Fall trip along with you. You have no idea how much I want to sneak off in October for a quick weekend to go to MNSSHP! It looks like you had a good time – despite the pushy parade crowd (and I totally agree about people not getting the concept of personal space during a parade). The music…the candy…that all sounds good to me! :thumbsup2

I am such a bad Trip Report author!! Here it is January and I still have not finished up my September report! Ugh! :scared1:

I wasn't sure if you all wanted to hear about the next day in Sea World....I wasn't all that thrilled with it this time around. I think I was just trying to make sure we got all the shows in that I really didn't take the time to just enjoy the time there. I did feed the sea lions which was awesomely cool.

DSCF3146.jpg

Of course I loved the Clyde and Seymour sea lion show. I especially love the mime that comes out ahead of the show.

He's so funny!! Oh and Miss "I'm too scared to ride any of the thrill rides" had me go on both the Kraken and the Manta. You guys can google those and see what they are. OMG!! Now, I love thrill rides, but the Manta was a bit much for me. I rode it, glad I did, but don't want to do that again any time soon. Your feet are dangling and you are basically riding this coaster lying down, facing forward. Holy Poop!!! I kept thinking to myself that it wouldn't last too much longer and to just hold on.....

DSCF3170.jpg

So crazy!! The Shamu show was toned down due to the accident last year, so it wasn't as thrilling as in previous years. I swear next year I am not going to let my type A planning personality ruin the enjoyment of just being there.

Our last day was spent enjoying DTD for a couple of hours before catching the boat back to the resort. I did get to Pick a Pearl there and ended up with a beautiful pearl that I had set into a pendant setting. It's very pretty. Victoria also pick one, too. We had a later flight (6:21pm out of Orlando) so we were able to spend the morning there. Oh, how depressing to have to come back home. I usually don't mind coming back, but this year was different. All in all it was a wonderful trip and I am looking forward to planning my next one.

Nooooo! It can't be over! I, personally, am glad that you made it last so long. I've got the Disney itch, BAD, it must be the winter weather. In order for us to go, we have to sell some remote land up in Wisconsin, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sometime in the next year!

Do you have a PTR for the next trip yet?!?!?!? :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your Sea World day. It looks like you had a lot of fun. Now I want to go! I looked up Kraken and Manta – those rides are extreme! Pick a Pearl is something I want to do on my next trip too. Your Photopass pictures are great! I really enjoyed your TR! I can’t believe it is over already. I’m glad you had a wonderful Disneymoon and I can’t wait to hear about your plans for your next trip :goodvibes

All caught up with this one and will be checking out your PTR next!

I  chocolate covered strawberries- YUMM!

Woohoo for booking for 2011. :woohoo:

How great that you got those TT FPes, and how very clever of you to know that the ear water tower is the actual landmark for DHS- I would have missed that! :thumbsup2
