I'll be doing Goofy, too. Hoping to break my streak of DNF's. I finished the very 1st Goofy and not since (twice had to stop due to injury and another time got swept).

Training has been somewhat difficult this fall due to family and work issues. Motivation hasn't been there, although it is getting better.
My training is at 5-7 miles 3x per week and then a long run (Increasing the distance each week) on Saturday. I'm still building on the endurance so will probably only do one back to back long session. As of now I have that scheduled for the 1st weekend in Dec.
I usually wear a SpiBelt with my room key, ID, money and shot blocks or a ClifBar. I carry a water bottle and camera and my phone is hooked onto the SpiBelt.
I'll be doing a run/walk combo, but it will probably be more walk than run. I hope to finish the 1/2 in 3 hours. I just want to finish the full with an official time.
Here's a problem I have: In my last two half-marathons, I have been in a walking rhythm where I did not want to break stride or slow down to get out my blocks/bar to eat. I felt like it would slow me down and I didn't want to fiddle with unzipping the pouch and unwrapping the blocks. I made it through both halves, but I know I'll need to eat on the full. And I don't want to depend on what's on the course. I do take bananas, oranges or other stuff if offered on the course, I just don't want to do the work to unwrap what a pack. Weird, I know.
