Who's going in September 2005???

Someone is claiming projection of 8 crowd level from 9/22-9/28 right when I'm going to be at WDW. Does anyone know any different?

Someone mentioned the first Disney USA Triatholon from the 23d to 25th which is exactly when I'll be there. What is this? Does anyone know? And how could it attract crowd levels of 8? I'm wondering if we should change our trip dates because of this and go to WDW 15-17 precruise instead.

Not sure where the rumor of a crowd level of 8 started from, but if you look on www.touringplans.com you will see the crowd level is 2 during the week of 9/22-9/28...

14 of us going Sept 11-17, staying at Pop Century. About 1/2 of them have never been there, so this is going to be great!! My 2yr old grandson & 4 yr old grandaughter are going for their first time. The rest will be adults.

We'll be there Sept.11th-20th! Can't wait!!!! This is our second time in Sept. We went in 2003 and the weather, and crouds were great!!! Perfect actually! So....what happens if a hurricane comes again????

I'll be in Orlando for a convention from 9/10 - 9/14 (staying at Universal Portofino Bay), so the DW and I are going to extend the trip to the 18th and stay at the POFQ.

I was going to post this but DH did it before I could. Can't wait to go .

You stay at the resort if they close the parks. We were there during Frances last year. You could go outside for awhile, untill it's gets to bad. Then they will tell you to stay in your room till it is safe to come out. We had a fun time, Disney was really great. Have fun and don't worry.

160 days and counting!!! How far in advance does anyone recommend buying park tickets? Are prices set for the rest of the year or is it likely they will go up between now and September?

If it were me, I like to buy my park tickets as soon as I know(and can) that I am going to Disney World. For me it is just one less thing to have to worry about( and it also breaks the pay up too, so I don't have one huge bill to pay for before my trip). The tickets usually go up in price in the new year, like Jan. or Feb. sometime.

Yee haw! Sept 9-11 at BCV and WLV 16-18, 12-15 off site but nearby! Got a conference for work...no, really... , in Orlando. Got some points to spend and hitting the Beach Club the week before and Wilderness Lodge the week after solo. Geesh, what else to do...hit the restaurants, like Teppanyaki and Sushi places(!), I haven't been to, Cirque, and a Segway tour...oh and Night of Joy while I'm in town. Heh...just been having a big urge to do Disney this very evening. And September is so far away! Bother!

Someone had posted about crowds in September. Night of Joy is Sept. 9 and 10 (http://allearsnet.com/tp/mk/noj.htm). I was there last year, between the hurricanes ( don't remember the names but they were, in fact, there! ), and crowds are very reasonable during this time. It was kind of odd, as the hurricains got closer the crowds got larger. I guess Disney hotels are a great place to ride out the storm!
