I am going October 12-17th for my first ever trip to WDW! Can't believe I made it this long (almost 50 years!)without ever going but I must say I am excited. Staying at WL because I think my husband and son(9) will especially enjoy it. Can someone tell me about the Halloween party? Will it be going on then? How do you get tickets to it? Also-I am interested in the Food and Wine Festival. Are the special dinners worth it?

Hi Ben's mom! You are going to have so much fun and I am sure all of you will love the WL, it is a very special resort.

YES, the Halloween party is soooo worth it. We did it for the first time last year and that's one of the main reasons we are going back this year. You can call the regular WDW number...I guess it is 407Wdisney. I always call the 800 number...800-828-0228.

Last year we did "Party For The Senses" at Epcot and we will be doing it again this year! So worth the $100 per person price tag. I don't know if your son is like my DD (she is 7) but she LOVES staying at the kid's clubs. Every trip we have one "adults only" evening and we let her stay in a kid's club (there is on at the WL) and it is soooo worth it. they are $10 an hour, but they also give them a choice of dinner and do stuff with them. That's where she'll be while we are at PftS...at the kid's club at the Y&BC.

Welcome to the DISboards! :Pinkbounc Also check out mousesavers.com and allearsnet.com.

DBF and I were thinking about doing PftS, but I don't know much about it. Is it an all day type of thing? We have a 6:30 adr for Le Cellier on Oct 1, and I don't want to miss that!

Hey Ben's Mom...TOO COOL! :cool1: you will really love going! we will be staying at the Poly from Oct.14 through Oct.22 and CAN'T WAIT! Don't forget to wear your Green so we can spot you! maybe we'll see you at one of the parks! I've never done the MNSSHP either but are going this year...If you can swing the $$ it would probably be worth it. From what I've heard it's GREAT! and it doesn't hurt that Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday!

We haven't been to the F&W fest. either so we thought we'd do it all this year! Party for the Senses is DEFINATELY on our list, although I haven't heard any of the dates yet...have any of you out there heard anything yet?

Hi! PftS is only on saturday nights, from 6:30 to 9:30. Of course you would want to get there around 6 pm, I would think.

helen-I think the PftS will be every Sat night during the F&W Fest, but not 100% sure!

My DH and I will be at the CBR 10/6-11 for our first WDW trip ever. DH (48) and I (51) have been to DL many times. We love the Mouse. Is MNSSHP cool for adults too?? I have mentioned it to DH but he doesn't seem too enthused.
Also thinking about booking an Illuminations (or special) cruise.

DH (47) and I (43) have been to MNSSHP before and had a blast! Played with the characters that were out and about, rode all the rides with no waiting and enjoyed the parade. Generally an all around good time. Come and enjoy!!

WE just got back on 6/7 and just booked today for BW 10/1-10/6! Gotta love those AP's. Also, booked MNSSHP for 10/2 with LTT for dinner.

We cannot wait!

Welcome! How exciting!!! Are you planning to do Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom? Lots of fun! And Epcot has the Food & Wine Festival going on while you're there.

:woohoo:

I am not quite sure :confused3 on going to MNSSHP. We have only talked about it a little bit, Maybe next year. It is still possible.
I am sure we would regret it if we didn't, but then again, we wouldn't know what we were missing otherwise, ya know. So in other words , It is still undecided.

WELCOME! the DIS is a very special place and you wil feel very much at home. :woohoo:
We've been to POR once before and it was very nice! it seems much quieter and more relaxing then some of the bigger resorts. We'll be at DW the week after you are there! Have you all started up some kind of list of things you want to do? how long will you be there?
What ever you decide on doing, HAVE LOTS OF FUN!

Oh man! I hit the double digits and didn't even notice!
  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

October is creeping up faster than I ever thought it would!
