Who's going in October

Family (Myself, DW, and 2 sons) vacation planned for Oct 15-23 at POFQ. The first trip to WDW, and on a plane, for my two sons (ages 7 and 5), and my second trip.
It's going to be great!

S&KsMom: We are also arriving 10/30 and staying until 11/6. We are staying at POFQ. Myself, DH and DD 6 and DS 5. How old are your children? Are you going to the MNSSHP? We went in 2003 but it was on Oct 5 and the crowds were light. Not sure whether we will do it on Halloween night due to the crowds.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

Hi Tinkerbelle739 my kids are going to be 3 & 8. I think we are going to skip MK on Halloween night because of the crowds. Maybe head over to MGM or Epcot because of the lighter crowds. How about a mini-meet to all who may be there?

Do you think the kids will be ok with NOT trick or treating? Does Disney have any options for that , other than MNSSHP?

A mini meet sounds fun, if of course we decide NOT to do the HP.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

::yes:: We are going to be there October 4-9 staying at POFQ. This will be my second time to Disney, DH's first and DS age 5 first time. We are sooooooo excited. Can't wait. I love this discussion forum and have gleaned so much good, fun information. Actually I think I am addicted to educating myself on Disney and the resorts.

I think kids are ok not trick or treating. In Oct. 2002 we were staying at GF and they had trick or treating in the lobby. Plus all day you will see people in costumes. I plan to bring my kids costumes and let them wear them. of course unless my son want to be a ghost again that may get a big complicated.

We'll be there from October 31st-November 8th. We changed our reservation last night from All Star Movies to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :teeth:

Bar any unforseen circumstances we plan to be there Oct. 22 -Oct. 29. This will be trip # 12 for us and our 4th to the F&WF. It will also be our anniversary week. We were there at this time last year an had a blast trying shows we'd never seen and rides we'd never done. Can't wait.

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm so excited, we booked Caribbean Beach for Oct. 23rd to the 28th!! This will be our 5th visit, but first time at CBR!! DH and I are totally looking forward to a romantic trip!!:sunny:

Since our trip ends on Oct 1st, I thought it would be okay to chime in :teeth:

We are booked 9/25-10/1 at Wilderness Lodge---JUST BOOKED TODAY!
Thats why, at 11pm, I am still reading the Dis boards. Can we say planning compulsive ???:hyper:

Yes, late October for DD's 8th birthday. This will be our first trip home with DVC and I think (not sure) we will be staying at SSR.

Just returned Wednesday, but already planning.

My DH and I will be there Oct.7 thru the 12th celebrating our 20th anniversary. Staying at BC. First time at WDW w/o the kids. Leaving today for WDW (staying off site for the first time) with my DS, DFIL, and his sister. Should be interesting trip. Leaving DH and DD home to work.

Wow! It seems like everyone is going in mid- Oct. or at the end near Halloween. I'm thinking we could have the place all to ourselves 10/2-10/10!! ;)

Hi everyone , I will be there with my Mom , Sister , DD 10 and DS 8 from 10-29 to 11-7 and going to MNSSHP on 10-31 .. we can't wait.. Planning is half the fun !!! We will be offsite at HIFS for the first 3 nights then have rent points at BCV for 4 nights then off to Coronado Springs for the last 2 .. Can't wait to see all the Lime green ( and of course we will have ours on ! ) Michelle

we will all be celebrating early and late birthdays
( Oct 2 , Oct 3 , Oct 10 , Nov 18 and Dec 13 )

We will be there Oct 30 - Nov 7 (my birthday:Pinkbounc ) Staying at the GF with DH, DDs x 4, DFIL & DMIL.

We haven't decided on MNSSHP yet - kind of wary of the crowds with it being the week-end and Halloween too! Anyone know if the resorts do anything for Halloween?

What is MNSSHP. I just discovered this site today so I'm very new, but we love our Disney trips.princess: princess:

Hi- MNSSHP stands for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (which I have never been to) which is held at the MK on a bunch of evenings in Oct. after the park closes. There is a separate admission charge just like Mickey's very Merrry Christmas Party. We are going at the end of Oct., so we will probably attend. The only thing I'm concerned about is the crowds. People who have attended rave about it though- there are candy stations for trick or treating, special parade, decorations, certain rides are open, special photo included, etc.
