OK, now I'm really jealous! We have been melting out here. I'd rather melt in WDW. :teeth: Have a blast!! :maleficen

Yes indeed melting here, in IL, and dd announces we HAVE to go to 6Flags... and she's right!! :faint: She earned a free ticket for 6Flags (reading at school - her teacher gave me her teacher ticket!) it EXPIRES SUNDAY :faint:

I dont wanna go, I dont wanna go in the heat, and that darned waterpark opened, and she wants to do that... I look fat in the swimsuit, because I am fat... :rotfl: *sigh... trying to bid on Priceline for a hotel room, $30 no go so far!! (they only have 1 and 2 * hotels, Hampton Inn, Holiday Express, Comfort Inn, etc... and they want $200 a night... um NO!)

Oh poor you! We've managed to avoid six flags so far. We are going to Phillips Waterpark out by us later this week.

You know, I read on another thread that Gurnee Mills is going to get a Disney outlet!! My MIL is always surprised that I have never been there, guess I gotta go now! :teeth:

Where are the October park hours? I've been checking for them all day. I thought for sure they would be out today.

DH instisted we go to Kings Island in OH. It was awful hot when we went too! So we went to the water park. I'm fat too, but the way I figure it, as long as I'm resonably covered, I don't care. #1 You're hot, I'm hot, we're all hot...I'm going swimming, fat or not #2 Chances are, you are not the only fat duck in the pond! :rotfl2: Have fun and don't worry! Lifes too short

Ok this is it lol I had originally booked PC, then switched to CSR, now we are staying at ASMu Oct. 1st - 8th :rotfl: I was hoping to stay at a moderate this trip, but it's just not going to happen. Oh well we are still going to Disney & maybe next time we will be able to try a moderate. :maleficen We will be going to MNSSHP on the 6th & have ADR's at LTT for 4:30. :goodvibes

yeah what is it about the hours. My 90 day window started last week but I have to wait till this Friday for my ENTIRE trip to be in the window. I made all my PS's for my first week but am waiting to make the rest this Friday.

I want to go to CG and watch the fireworks but can't book till I know WHEN they will be. The cast member told me LAST week that they would be posted on the 31st. Well HELLO it is now the 2nd and STILL no hours. ARG!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have a general idea when the fireworks are around the last week of October on a wednesday night that is NOT MNSHP?

I read about stroller at the parks, and I was not thinking that my DS (5 Years old) will need one, but i think now that he should get one. Do you know is rent one at one park one move to another the same day, Will I need to pay again for the stroller? and by the way I about to become an insane person because the October hours are not posted yet

You cannot take the strollers from park to park, but you can take your reciept and the next park will give you another stroller. You might consider a cheap umbrella stroller for you whole trip. Strollers rent for $6 a day, if they haven't gone up. If you are staying concierge you can get one from the hotel at no cost, but first come first served.

Good luck and have a great trip!

How long does it take to recieve tickets if you order in advance? How late can I buy tickets at the advance price but get them by OCt 22 ? Arriving in WDW on Oct 22 & I plan to attend on Oct 27.

Just talked to an online friend, she mentions that she's going to Disney in Oct, I had thought DisneyLand... well turns out the WORLD, and she hasnt made reservations yet!! She didnt know about the free dining!!! She didnt know about SOG (her dh is military and she was going to buy the tickets thru him on base!! he served in Iraq!!) Boy did my hands fly on the keyboard!! And she hasnt replied yet!! lol.. I'm so excited for her!!

Thanks Lori, I will consider that, the only issue is that we are taking allready a stroller for my 10 months baby DD, so i think renting one is a better option for my DS.

Could any one explain to me how this party works? I mean, The Party Begins after the park is closed? This is my first October Trip to WDW.

Thanks

Yes, the park closes at 6:00p and the party officially begins at 7:00p. They will let you in after 4:00p, though, with just your party ticket so that not everyone is entering at 7:00p. They've been doing this unoffically for about 3 years now. Between 6:00p and 7:00p everything is closed except Tomorrowland for party goers so they can clear out the park. So unless you are eating in one of the sit down restaurants, you will be asked to wait in Tomorrowland till 7:00p.

Those attending the party will have wristbands and those not will not and that is how they can clear out the park.

Hope this helps.

Its my first time too!!

From what I've gathered, read etc... you do NOT need a seperate ticket (MYW that is - you do need a mNSSHP ticket!) to get in the park after 4pm. Apparently Disney realizes everyone coming in just for the party arriving at the same time would create a massive backup for security etc...

So around 4 you can get into the MK , then you need to get a wrist band, and enjoy the park, around 6 they start emptying the park of non wristband people, and usher all the wristbands into Tomorrowland...

Then they will have a schedule for parades, fireworks, large balloon places to get trick or treats (candy!!) pictures of your family dressed... or as is!! :flower:

It sounds like my kind of fun!!
