Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I'm joining the Oct thread. We are honeymooning at the WL Oct 2 - Oct 9 and going to MNSSHP on Oct 6. I wish we were going tomorrow =)

one we are going also oce 2-9. 2. we also had our honeymoon there at wl and enjoyed it. we had a room facing gf and the beach. they gave us a mickey and minnie bride and groom. also a basket. we got married at the poly. so i hope you have as much fun as we did.

I will definitely have my ears on - hopefully my new DH will be wearing his too. He has agreed to wear them at some point but I'm not sure he'll do it everyday. I have to get new bride ears though. My mom bought ones for me when I was in high school knowing that I would end up honeymooning at WDW but they are a bit battered now.

WHIT - I hope we'll have a great time too. We are hoping for some extra pixie dust to make it even more special. We love the WL too and can't imagine staying anywhere else ever again

Today's my last day "playing" on the jet ski!! I think I finished downloading enough stuff for my mom's planning binder!! She wont read on the internet, so I just cut and past, and print!! I gotta check my timer, and do one last run around the lake w dd!!

My group decided no MNSSHP for us.

Ok, MommyBoo, and Shelly I think... what happened to our counters??? They didnt countdown like the old ones that we had to delete from our sig, but I liked that compromise one, and now I see lots of us have the little box with the red X in it???

We are (hopefully) going 26 Oct - 1 Nov. I'm in a walking cast right now and it will depend on how it heals. Keeping my fingers crossed! I want to go to MNSSHP on the 30th, but I haven't bought the tickets yet. I'm a little hesitant to buy the unrefundable tickets until I have my next x-ray on Aug 8. Do you think they will sell out soon? We'll be staying at the Polynesian.

The 8th is not far away. I don't think they'll be sold out. Halloween night may be a different story. Hope you get a clean bill of health and your walking cast off soon!

DD is 4 yr old and I'm planning on getting tickets. For those of you that have already been there were your kids older when they experienced this event? I know it's from 7pm to midnight. I called today and they told me shipping is 3.00 or you can pay in advance and pick up your tickets at the gate. Is it worth the shipping rather than waiting in line once in the park??? Pls leave your feedback so I can decide to get advance tickets.

DD was 5 when we went last time. She had a lot of fun. Of course, we carried her back to the room after the night was over. As far as the shipping...it is lots of fun to get your tickets in the mail, so if that matters to you. I'm planning on getting to the park around 4 or so anyway, so I don't think that the line will be too long then. I've decided it's just one less thing for me to pack.

I paid the $3 and had them shipped to me. I guess I did it for my own added security that something wouldn't get screwed up.

When DD12 was little she could "party" like the best of them, now DD8 completely tires out by 10. This is our first MNSSHP so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. One thing I did do was make sure we aren't doing any parks the day we go. We are going to take the day to hang out at the resort and relax by the pool and maybe get a nap in. If we "go-go-go" I'll have a cranky husband and children on my hands and we don't want any of that at Disney!

My boys were 6 & 4 the 1st time we went & they had a great time! They were troopers & made it till closing I would pay for the shipping, then you would have them & not have to worry about picking them up

MommyBoo you are one organized lady! Excellent list! We're doing 10/31 and I can't wait so I had to check out how many other entires there were for our night. We could have done a couple of the other nights instead but DH said we have to do Halloween. It's good to be married to another big kid

We're still trying to figure out costumes. Not sure if he will at all and I'm trying to decide if under the cover of darkness I won't look all that terrible in the red Minnie outfit. Red makes me look like a ghost but then again it will be Halloween and ghosts are definitely in on that night

And I'm just lovin' that Bouncing Maleficent! Cracks me up! Ok so I never do the bouncing ones but I can't resist!!!!

We decided today that we're all going to be pirates! I think! This was about the only thing that we could all agree on. DD8 was going to be Kim Possible but it's a longsleeve shirt and she can be Kim for Halloween at home so now everyone wants to do a theme. DH doesn't want to wear a full costume type of thing and I thinnk I can get away with that with a pirate theme. Now what to dress the toddler up as? A parrot? Actually, she could be the monkey from the movie. Her nickname is monkeygirl anyway. MIL and I are going to make cool loot bags. Already thought of a design.

I'm not sure if it is a real good idea. I guess if you don't mind missing the first part of the party it won't be a problem. I don't know what the waits are like at the AK Rainforest Cafe, but if it's anything like DD, you'll have to wait a little while for your seat. I don't know if there is a bus that goes directly from AK to MK. If not, you'll have to transfer. That could take a little bit of time too. ???? I really don't know.

MommyBoo... for your pirate theme... we were at a flea market last week, and we bought the funniest well for lack of a good word... a special made bandana to tie around your head - dh is thinking of a deadhead, my dad a motorcycle DUDE - (he has tats I think he wants to show off!! including an African Grey parrot!! ) which leaves us girls hanging... guess we should think about being gypsies!!

If I'm correct MNSSHP doesn't start until 7pm. We will be driving but I'll consider making a earlier ADR. They also say that it only takes a couple hours for AK and since DD is only 4 I have list of few things that I want to visit.
