Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

i'm bummed :sad2: when I read my allears newletter yesterday it said that the "living seas" pavillion was going to be closed through oct. :confused3 My ds(2) LOVES nemo and that was the main attraction my kids wanted to see at Epcot. Oh well. Does anyone know if there is anywhere else to see nemo?

We'll be doing the MNSSHP on Oct. 16, too! Dinner at CP at 5:10. DS will be dressed as a pirate, and DH and I will be dressed as Muggles. (Which means we won't be in costume, but I've decided that's a clever answer for anyone who asks!)

I can't remember WHY I chose the Sunday over the Thursday, but like everyone else has said, if Sunday is fabulous and we want to go again or if the weather is awful and we think it's worth another try we can go back Thursday. (Subject to ticket availablity.)

Can't wait for October!!

We have always been leaning toward Sunday because it works well in our schedule. I'm sure it will be a great night. We are not planning any dinner reservations yet....I haven't gotten the tickets! I know LTT had an 8pm as of yesterday. I think we will eat a big meal before and just do counter service that night....there is so much to see. Who knows though I'll probably change my mind 10 more times. No decision on costumes either. Maybe some of us will bump into each other. :Pinkbounc

MommyBoo - would it be possible to add a F&W Party for the Senses column? (or maybe I should find out if I'm the only one!!) :goodvibes

I'm just thinking, even tho we dont know each other, is anyone else planning to book Party for the Senses ? Or any of the "special events"? (the ones that cost extra) I'm just thinking... Dis'ers share boats.... and I've read its hard to get seating at PftS.... maybe someone else would like to meet up at the venue? I believe I've read it can hold anywhere from 200 - 400 ( :confused3 details details I honestly dont know!!)

So dh and I are going Oct 8 - anyone else???

Is anyone else "hesitant" to meet up with Dis'ers... as in all honestly, we are "strangers"... of course I have the attitude we're just friends that havent met yet... any thoughts???

We will most likely be going to the Signature Dinner at California Grill on October 2nd. But we might be going to the Exquisite Evenings at Epcot on the 30th for the Brilliant Bubbles dinner, but not as likely as the Signature Dinner.

This is kind of strange, because nothing is said about it on Mouseplanet. That definetly stinks! I really wanted to see Crush :sad2:

I would love to be able to meet up with some other Diser's that will be there 10/1 - 10/8. Last year on a RCCL cruise we took we organized a meet and greet our first day on the ship of people who had been "chatting" online in a cruise forum similar to Disboards. Granted that was a much different vacation but I would still like to be able to say "hello" in person.

People are talking that Disney is not going to allow the "pooling" of your dining credits. You can only use the kids credits for the kids dining. Don't know how true it is, but that's what is being said.

Also, Len Testa has said that Free Dining may return tomorrow. If anyone missed out on the deal. Keep your ears :earsgirl: to the ground.

Thanks for the head's up - it doesnt surprise me that Disney gave a loophole, then found so many people taking advantage, that they had to close the loophole (meaning I think the way they did the Dining plan was the easiest way to handle it from a book keeping point of view, now maybe they have more software available to change it, to make it as it was intended to be used...) I also appreciate Len Testa and his wealth of information!!

Thanks for your input 3Aumillers maybe when things slow down, I can start a thread for the week we're going - Oct 4 - 11 - :confused3 or maybe a thread just for the Party of the Senses on the 8th... :confused3

Eller What is a "brilliant Bubbles Dinner"? and "Exquiste Evenings at Epcot"? :confused3

Going to have to post on the Tech board, but has anybody else been confused by the use of the extras - ie Bold, Size and Color features, they are working differently for me!!! I dont get that pop up screen to type in anymore, and for B when I click on B I get the last command, click again, I get the first (ie [/B] pops in automatically in front, with coming in 2nd click!! :confused3

I really should take a computer class!! :rotfl:

I'm going Oct. 3-Oct. 6th. Staying at CBR!

Ok, I'll bite. Who is Len Testa? When you say free dining may return, do you mean for the same or extended dates? I'm wondering if it will still be attached to the resort stay....

Len Testa is author of Unofficial Guide, and he posts on this board, his website is touringplans.com, and has given us the Best Days calendar!!

He posted that the free dining may return was indeed for the same dates we had seen, not sure when it started but it was August, ending Oct 4, meaning if you booked your first day on Oct 4 (we did) you got free dining for the length of stay - and it is attatched to your resort stay... that is the "nights" of your stay...

Well, that answered my question!

I'm familiar with Len (and forever grateful for all of his sage advice :worship: ) but I was looking everywhere for any mention of more free dining! If it is for the SAME dates that doesn't help me a bit! GRR! Wouldn't they like to extend it just a BIT? Say, oh, maybe 10 more days to include check-ins through Oct. 14?

That was probably too much to hope for. But it sure would be nice! :flower:

I just talked to Disney CRO - and they havent gotten the word yet (not that anyone is surprised with that!)

I'm just hoping to get back over to French Quarter, I dont want to have to walk over to the Dragon slide 3 times every day after all the walking in the Parks!! :)

and hoping for :wizard: 10 more days extension, it does make one pause and wonder how they picked the dates they did, and why they would just open up more rooms for the same period (suggesting they filled them, so why open up more/? :confused3 )

The end of free dining matches up with the end of Value season. So the double whammy for people checking in Oct. 5 onward is that we pay for dining AND our resort rates are higher. :guilty:

I was not very happy when they announced free dining, but that's life! I have been waiting for them to put a stop to the dining plan credit thing where they don't differentiate between adult and child credits. It doesn't surprise me one iota that they might be putting an end to that. I planned all of our ADR's to follow the rules for that exact reason. It was a great loophole while it lasted, but I figured they would catch on that they were losing money. Perhaps in the beginning they KNEW they would have people "cheating" but didn't realize to what extent? Well, I'm glad I anticipated that and planned accordingly!

So even if they do extend free dining we can't add it to an existing ressie? Is that right? And if I cancel my existing ressie I lose all those ADR's I made on Monday? Is that also right? I think if they extend free dining to include my dates that I might not want to know about it! :rotfl:

Duhhhhh! Oh, THAT Len Testa. I agree that they should extend the free dining. I only need an extra 3 days...come on....pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssse  :worship: :thewave: . I would love to try the good food, so I won't have to press my face up to the restaurant window and watch all the other lucky free diners who checked in on 10/4 :drinking1. And Disney marketing, I sincerely promise that if we find that we love a particular restaurant (even if it is :scared1: expensive) we will come back again next time at FULL price (or at least with the DDE-we're not barbarians, you know).

It's almost time for October hours to come out! I'm so excited! :Pinkbounc

About the whole not being able to used the kid's credits...It is actually some of a relief. I'm am so cheap  , and I have to get my money's worth. so, if there was a loophole, I was planning on using it. This make my planning a whole lot easier! :cool1:

It's easier just to type it, then highlight it, then hit your bold. Then you don't have to worry about that pesky little window.
Although that isn't working either.
