Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I am new to the boards but have been reading for a couple of months. We are going Oct 16-21st staying at ASM. We are keeping it a total suprise from everyone in our families because we usually take a niece or nephew with us but not this time so we dont want any angry kids/adults. Plus DS's bday is the day before and its a suprise for him.
Its kind of fun keeping it between Dh and myself.

Yay! We got our ADR for CP on Oct. 16! We wanted 5:30 but 5:10 is OK. Last timw we went to Crystal Palace there was an enormous line to check in, and we waited for about 15 minutes after we checked in so maybe having some extra time will be a good thing. Want to be DONE by party time! :flower:

Just wanted to say :wave2: . We're going on the 16th too!!!!

Hi, DH and I are so excited about this vacations. We'll be there from Oct 21st to Oct 30th at the All Star Movies (just dying to see DD4's face when she "meets" Toy Story characters!) but just imagine when she actually is in MK!!!! :faint:

I'm so sorry I discovered disboards this late and this thread but so glad I had! we bought our MNSSHP tickets a couple of days after they started selling them!!!! we are going on Oct 27th (I've seen a few that are going on the same day!).

DH has been at WDW like 10+ times (he doesn't remember!!!!) 4 of them we went together. I've been 5. However this is the first for both our DDs, one will be 4 and the other will be short of 1 yr old. And this is like a lot of celebrations in one: 50th Anniversary! our first vacation with the kids, DH, DD4 and DD1's birthdays! on oct 4th, oct 13th and nov 26th. Even none of the dates match our schedule, the trip is to celebrate their birthdays! :bday: to them! Do you think they should wear a bday button everyday? :rotfl: I don't know what the approach should be. DD1 won't really notice, DD4 however... she will know it is not actually her bday but it would be great if she gets the attention I've read all about for birthday girls! what do you think?

Regarding MNSSHP... I just hadn't thought about costumes... well, for the girls I figured princesses (who else in the world would DD4 want to be dressed like?) but for DH and I.... I have to think about it. He usually has great ideas and loves Halloween so it shouldn't be a problem.

Has any of you tried the new ADR system? when you can book all your PS? I have a question, we are checking in on oct 21st but our first character meal (Chef Mickey) will be on oct 22nd. So the 90 days apply to the 21st or the 22nd?

We are on a tight budget and DD4 is a very picky eater so most of our meals will be counter service or hotel (refrigerator in the room). However, we'll "introduce" WDW with Chef Mickey and we'll say good bye with Cinderella's Royal table for breakfast on our last day. princess:

I apologize for the long posts but I'm so excited! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc yesterday we booked our MYW package. 6 days park hopper, haven't decided on the schedule yet. We know for sure on the 27th we won't do any park but MNSSHP at night. By the way, we didn't know you could get in around 4pm...we thought we would arrive at 6:30-7:00pm!!!! If we can get DD4 to nap, we'll be at the park around 5. We'll do MK on the first and last days and the rest... we have to plan plan plan. I was kind of afraid of planning before actually having a reservation

Well I'll try to read all posts before leaving on oct 21st! :earboy2: but in the meantime sorry if I ask something that has already been asked!

I'm so happy!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Maybe we'll see you there. I've seen some other people post for the 16th too. Maybe we could all meet for a quick hello. My family will be dressed as characters from Hercules so you probably won't be able to miss us. :rotfl:

Thanks for the reply. I forgot about the weather tip! I'm thinking the crowds will be similar for both dates (16th and 20th). Anyone else choosing the 16th over the 20th?

WELCOME!

I can't think of any reason she shouldn't wear her button all the time. It will make it more fun for her!

I did the new ADR system yesterday. You start booking on your 90 day mark just like always, but you can book for your entire trip during you call. It was pretty easy!

Have fun reading the entire thread! :rotfl:

Oh that would be fun. We'll be dressed in coordinating villain/good guy costumes. Meaning..... Jafar(DH) & Jasmine(DD9), Queen of Hearts(my mother) & Alice (DD3), and Cruella (me) & A dalmation(DD1). We'll probably be easy to spot also.

Got ressies for F&W Party for the Senses for Oct 8!!

I think I am now done with getting up early and making reservations!! :rotfl:

All caught up!

Honeyberh1 - Is that All Star Movies or Music?

Thanks!

We haven't bought tickets to MNSSHP either. I've debated back and forth (with myself) about it. We're two older adults with no kids, at least coming with us, and our main reason for going to MNSSHP would be to go on the rides. Since we're going Sept/Oct for 8 days, I doubt that we'll have too much problem doing all the rides and I hate the idea of spending the money to get into the park when we have 8 day park hoppers.

Anyone have any different thoughts on this? I'm still wavering!

We had to change our December trip to October because of my wife's pregnancy. We are arriving 10/30 and leaving 11/4. We had already purchased MVMCP tickets, and Disney is allowing us to exchange them for MNSSHP tickets!

We'll be doing the MNSSHP on Oct. 16, too! Dinner at CP at 5:10. DS will be dressed as a pirate, and DH and I will be dressed as Muggles. (Which means we won't be in costume, but I've decided that's a clever answer for anyone who asks!)

I can't remember WHY I chose the Sunday over the Thursday, but like everyone else has said, if Sunday is fabulous and we want to go again or if the weather is awful and we think it's worth another try we can go back Thursday. (Subject to ticket availablity.)

Can't wait for October!!

Hey, I just got the new Disney catalog in the mail yesterday - they had a 'Halloween costume preview'! It just got me more excited...it's not too far off now! :cheer2:

I got my tickets at will-call. Has anyone done this? I know it is a dumb question, but do you just go to the counter at M.K. before the party and pick them up? :confused3
