Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I don't know if this has already been covered, but on the dates that we have meet-ups, are we going to meet in MK? If so, where and what time? I really would love to see everyone, I think it'd be a hoot!
Also, I wonder if we could contact Disney or DVC and see if we can make an official 'DVC Day' on one of those days. I'll see what I can find out in that respect.

Just bought our tickets for the 27th...LTT at 6:10pm, now to decide on a costume....I think DH may be Jack Sparrow....not sure about myself and my two princesses....:)

Finally finished my itinarary which is subject to change a bit when Disney comes out with the hours for October. Here is what I have, all comments and suggestions are welcome. Keep in mind when we go on vacation we really go, go, go but each afternoon I will attempt to get in down time at the room by either napping or swimming.

Sat 10/1--arriving at WDW after a long trip from Illinios. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:
Check in around 11am. Shopping at DTD back to the room for rest time and then a trip on the monorail to end with ADR at 8pm Chef Mickey's.

Sun 10/2--Epcot day all day unless it gets too crowded with an ADR at 5pm for Le Cellier. Watch Illuminations. Probably won't go back to room today.

Mon 10/3--Magic Kingdom day all day unless it gets too crowded. ADR for 8:05a for Royal castle breakfast. Stay till our ADR at 7:10 for Ohana.

Tues 10/4--Disney Studio EMH with ADR at noon for Primetime Cafe. Go back to room and then to Epcot later in the afternoon with ADR at 6:30 for Alfredo.

Wed 10/5--AK for EMH and ADR at 8am at Donald's breakfastosaurus. At least spend half the day here and maybe EMH evening at MK or maybe not.

Thurs 10/6--MNSSHP day with ADR at LTT for 4:30. Morning reservation for the 9:30 Pirate Adventure Cruise for DS pirate: while DH and I go over to the GF spa and I get a foot and leg massage and DH gets a back massage. Rest up for the afternoon with pool time and a nap.

Fri 10/7--DS birthday no ADR's because we are letting him lead us around today. We will have been to all the parks so he will decide what he wants to do most. This could be scary. lol :confused3

Sat 10/8--Again no ADR's We will probably do EAM at AK leave around noon rest and then go to Epcot and enjoy F&W fest.

Sunday 10/9--Boo hoo we have to go home. :sad2: Check out by 11 with ADR at Chef Mickey at 11:20. Then back on the road for a long trip back to IL.

Just a thought...If you do this won't you spend most the EMH eating and then come out of breakfast to a full park? Would it be better to do a later breakfast as the park is getting busy or do 8am breakfast on non EMH day?

I'm still working all my dates out. My DH will NOT talk about it-I told him I was making a few dining arrangements and he said "as I recall there were not all that many places to eat" :earseek: Good thing he's married to an obsessive planner. :rotfl2:

Thank you for the input. You are right so when I went back to look I was wrong and it is not an EMH at AK it is EMH for the PM at MK so we hopefully will just be finishing up at donald's when the park opens. I originally was going to do the Donald's breakfast on Sat when the actually EAM is for AK that is how I got confused. I am going to make sure none of my other Early ADR's are not on EMH days. Thanks for the help. I too have a husband that pretends to listen to the plans but really could care less. lol The only thing he cares about is that the cost of the food is not coming out of his pocket since we got in on the free dining plan.

Angela - Where do you live in Il? We're in Crystal Lake. Driven before...it's an ok drive, are you stopping anywhere?

Here are my plans. I finally finished all the dang ADR's geesh, gave me a headache..

Arrive 10/4 - use ME to arrive at POP, grab passes head over to MK by about 3pm (flight gets in at noon). Head over to Fantasyland & do whatever dd's want to do immediately. Crystal Palace for dinner (5:05) Tour MK, stay for Spectro & Wishes (if on this night)

10/5 - Animal Kingdom - Donald's at 8am, tour AK till after parade head over to Chef Mickey's for 6:15 dinner. After dinner either head back to POP to swim or DTD depends on how hot it was today.

10/6 - Epcot am (not at opening though 10 ish), Princess Storybook lunch at 11:55. The girls only like 2 things at Epcot: Illuminations and Test Track so use FP for TT if possible. Bring costumes in backpack, head over to MK for LTT seating at 4:15 for dinner. MNSSHP & yes I know this will be a long day but they can do it once or twice.

10/7 CRT 9:15 spend day in MK till whenever we're ready to leave. Back to pop for swim. Either head over to MGM for fantasmic or DTD depends on which they want.

10/8 MGM (again there are only 3 things the girls want to do: Playhouse DIsney, Honey I shrunk playground, Beauty & the beast, and maybe Rock & Roller coaster (willhave to kid swap,,11 yr old & I). Chef Mickey's again for dinner at 5pm. Peter Pan Cruise (with fellow DIS'ers) approx 7pm - watch Wishes

10/9 Girls Choice - probably AK.
Dinner at 1900 Park Faire 6pm
Back to MK for last night of fun

10/10 - Breakfast at POP buy loads of Mickey Rice Crispy bars for plane & head home

I am west of DeKalb and South of Rockford. Near Rochelle. However, we are moving in about a year hopefully to the MA/NH seacoast area. Some of our schedules look the same. 10/5 donald's breakfast we will be there at the same time. 10/6 MNSSHP and LTT we have ADR for 4:30 with MNSSHP after. What is the peter pan cruise? Is it too late to get in on it?

I know where you are! Crystal Lake is only about an hour from you! We'll have to look at Donald's bfast...! Yea, I'm pretty sure the cruise is booked by now...It was a grand gathering thing organized by another DISer.

Is anyone else totaly bummed out that we won't get to see Lucky the Dinosaur during our trips? I bet it's a pretty cool thing. :cool1:

Completely bummed! I wanted to see Lucky so bad! I wish they would have one at DW as well as DL. I guess I'll have to wait for a trip to DL to see him (hopefully he won't be traveling when I go).

I'm heading down in October...not sure of exact dates yet or where we are all staying, but soooooooo EXCITED!!! This will be trip number 8 and first time to Animal Kingdom.

angwill, we are making that drive too. I have a box of things to keep the kids occupied. Our biggest concern is DD1. The little contortionist (sp?) is able to get her arms out of her carseat. And now she has learned how to unclick the lock! DH thinks we need to get another seat; I told him they're all pretty similar. She's ok with short rides but anything longer than 45 minutes... So I have to come up with stuff for her to keep her occupied and not thinking about escaping on that long ride. We will be making frequent stops to let her run around and (hopefully) tire herself out. :wizard:

scrappinmom - We almost moved to Crystal Lake! But we ended up in Oswego. :confused3 DH's work is in the middle of the two and either one was a far drive. But we have family out this way. Which is not always a good thing. :teeth:

MommyBoo-don't know what kind of car you drive but when we went on a long drive (for us) with the kids last year -3 kids ages 5, 3 1/2, 1 1/2 - in a mini van- I put the older 2 in the 3rd row and I sat next to the youngest in the middle row so that I was right there to keep her occupied and could easily reach the other 2. Good luck ours was only a 4 hour drive and we had to listen to Small World on repeat for an hour :earseek: She's 2 1/2 this summer so thankfully she'll listen to a bit more now. I just went out at lunch and found a bunch of stories on CD for $4.98-Disney of course-Toy Story, Mary Poppins, Tarzan, Incredibles, and Lion King.

Oh-almost forgot...that 2 year would have LOVED Lucky! I have a friend in Jacksonville FL who was thinking about driving down to WDW for her birthday (6/5) to get one last use out of her seasonal passes. When I told her about Lucky she decided she and her 6 year old DD had to go. They saw Lucky several times so they knew where to stand the 2nd time around and her DD got picked for Lucky to sniff. Lucky was "alergic" to her nail polish and sneezed. :rotfl2: She got some great photos!

Scrappinmom,
Too bad there is not a way for us to identify each other. If you want to PM me we could figure out a way to try to find each other at Donald's.

Mommyboo,
When will you be making your car ride? I went and got a portable DVD player when it was on sale a few months back and then I joined the disney movie club so we have plenty to watch on the drive down. We are going to try to drive it in one stretch by DH and I taking turns. We figure about 20 hours not including stops. We will be out in Oswego this Friday to visit with my aunt who lives there. She is off of Douglas. We are going over to the Woodridge IMAX to see Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with her.

Here's my plan. The cast is me(obsessive planner who goes with the flow once we're there...), DH, DD(6), DS(4), DD(2) and the best friend ever who comes along to help out. This is our 3rd trip since Jan 2004. We're staying concierge and plan most breakfast there and will likely supplement the evening offerings with take out and/or room service. My kids really LOVED concierge and complained when we had dinner plans out last year. We will do parks in the mornings and come back to resort for swim/rest.

Arrive MCO Friday Oct 14th @2:07. Town car to Poly with grocery stop. It will be just DD(6) and I. She wants to relax there but I've made a 6PM ADR at Kona just in case I can at least convince her to go for dessert (YUM!). I'm actually hoping we can go to MK and go to Casey's but she insists she just wants to go swimming and play on the beach because she'll be tired. She's my real princess: ! A friend from FL and her DD(6) will stay with us Fri & Sat. They arrive around 8PM. Watch the EWP and Wishes from the beach (unless we can convince the girls to go to MK???).

Saturday 10/15: Epcot-especially Soarin. CS lunch/Food & Wine Fest. 5:00 H&V for Fantasmic Dinner Pkg.

Sunday 10/16: 8:00AM CP. MK. DH and others arrive MCO at 6:25PM.

Monday 10/17: MK, 12:00 CRT, 5:30 Trails End, 7:30 Carraige ride at Ft Wilderness.

Tuesday 10/18: AK-both Tusker House & Flame Tree are good choices for lunch. Illuminations cruise.

Wednesday 10/19 Epcot DH & DD(6) to do Behind the Seeds Tour @ 10:30 DH & I 7PM Citricos at GF. Belated 21st anniversary dinner (actual date 9/22).

Thursday 10/20 rest up for MNSSHP-hope to do mini golf-the kids have been asking since Jan 04. 5:00 CP. MNSSHP.

Friday 10/21 MGM, 12:00 Sci Fi

Saturday 10/22 MK-no ADRs

Sunday 10/23 fly home :sad1: May do MK in AM before town car pickup around 12:45

I'm just planning on making it for lunch. This kids don't seem real interested in MGM but I know they'd love to see the Incredibles and Toy Story Gang. Last year they got up OK the day after the party but the 2 younger ones had to leave the park pretty early. My oldest & I stayed at Epcot and she made the mask as we toured the world. We had such a great time that that is what me decide to take her a few days early this year.

Are you dressing up? Last year my kids were Wendy, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and DH had Captain Hook hat and I had a pirate vest. This year I bought them all matching pirate T's and thought I might try to make matching ones for the adults and hope I could get away with that but they might want to dress up. I actually wasn't planning on going to the party until DS said the only thing he wants to do at WDW is go trick or treating at MK and sit in the cars after Test Track. Last year we had 5:30 reservations for CP and by the time we got out of there and got into the costumes people were already lining up for the parade. Then we went trick or treating at Toon Town, saw Pumkin Donald Duck and made our way over to Tomorrow Land and then the fire works (baby slept right through that) and then we went home around 10pm. So this year I made dinner a bit earlier and hopefully we'll be a bit quicker since they're older and I can have them wear costumes (hopefully just those T's) and try to watch parade from Liberty Square to see more of the park this time. We never even got our photo taken last year.

We'll be there that night too! I have no idea what the rest of my plans are that, especially since the darn hours aren't out yet.

We ate at 5:20 at CP last year, and sat inside for a long time, but it was perfect, they just let people in as we were leaving and we went back to a completely deserted frontier land. It was awesome!
