Mommykds[/B] Do you have all boys? What do you and Minnie21 do for a living, you both seem so organized, and I appreciate both of you taking so much of your time here!!

AAAAAack I forgot I was going to stop at Michaels to do some pre shirt shopping, I'm seriously going to try and make matching shirts!! Anyone else?

EEYORE45,

No I have girl,boy girl. I am an over-planner, I confess!
I would also like to make my own shirts for the trip but I am clueless! I checked out the original shirt thread & I am still lost.

The Saga continues --- I know you are tired of hearing from me. I'm tired of dealing with it. I now wish I would have left things as they were. The rather large jump in price ($75 is big to me) is due to a penalty charged by the airline for changing our airfare. I'm rather annoyed as I specifically asked the CM this morning BEFORE I made the change if we would be charged anything additional and what the airfare price would be. I was quoted one price but now find that the airline added $25 per ticket for the change. Now I have to come up with another $100 (can't hardly ask MIL to pay for something she didn't care one way or another about) to offset the penalties charged by the airline.

I keep telling myself -- be thankful that you have this wonderful opportunity to go to Disney World -- it's only money --- don't sweat the small stuff. Maybe if I repeat that enough times it will make me feel better --- but right now this is how I feel :sad2:

We head down the third weekend in October. We are due in Thursday evening about dinner time and we don't fly out until 9:30pm Monday :cool1:

My son and I are looking forward to DiveQuest. We saw people diving when we had dinner at the restaurant and it looked like fun.

Hey I was going to tell you they charge a fee for this as my TA and CM confirmed this to me and made SURE I understood when booking that when I add the airfaire the ressies can not be changed with reguards to dates...I was in the same situation and am not going to add a day due to the DH...but yeah, there is a fee to change due to the air. It makes sense because airlines only have so many seats on so many days and each seat could be a different price!! :earseek: however I am comforted by the fact that I got a steal for flight prices thru Disney and maybe I really did not neeeed that xtra day.... oh well...next trip will be a full week!! :rolleyes1 good luck with your trip! Have fun no matter what!! :umbrella:

Oh thank you so much. :flower: Right now I'm working on getting my degree in Elementary Education. :teeth:  Hopefully my obsessive Disney organizational and planning skills will come in handy when it comes to teaching kindergarteners. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Its only money, its only money!! There's no place like Disney!!

Yep I know the drill!! as I start adding my money/bills... That's why when I changed from a room only to MYW w/'free' dining, I asked for 24 hours to decide!! (and I'm still confused - totally! I am in the process of getting refunds and paying Disney the money back... !)

Shirts, I am so not crafty, but I do well when I'm with someone crafty! :rotfl:

Well we are booked and tix ordered for 9/30 :Pinkbounc
Now I just need to think about costums for us. I have a handy nack for sewing. I would never make clothes, but costumes come out nicely!

I guess I'm just frustrated because the CM said nothing about there being a penalty even after I questioned her a second time that the airfare didn't change at all in price because we were changing days and flight times. Oh well .. live and learn .. I'll know better next time.

I went to a costume shop today!! How I wish I could sew!! I dug thru my closet and I have a pattern for the perfect costume (Rennasaince - I wanna be QUEEN!! :rotfl: ) DD is Aurora, dh and my parents are waiting for my orders!! :rotfl:

Hey, where's MommyBoo been lately?? :confused3 Hope its just a well deserved vacation!! :wizard:

We are going Oct 15-22 and staying off property at a condo (I get a deal on them). DW, DD and DS have never flown or been to Florida.....I may have my hands full, LOL. We are going to do the Disney thing for 2 or 3 of the days and then go to some other sights there, maybe Silver Springs and of course the ocean!!!!
Can't wait!!!!!!
Eric :thewave:

 I just booked my OCTOBER TRIP!!! :cool1:
We'll be at Pop Century October 4th-11th probably doing MNSSHP on the 6th. I'm so excited I can hardly stand myself! But I know you all understand my obsession....I mean excitement ;)
Now to plan all my dining! Any suggestions for MUST DO's? We've done Crystal Palace in the past for Breakfast & Lunch & will probably be going again, but I'm open to suggestions for anything else!
We've been to Disney about 7 times & this will only be our 2nd time on property & our 2nd MNSSHP & Food & wine Festival. October seems to be our time to go now :flower:

10/2/05-dinner at 'Ohanas. We were going to do MK for a bit but it closes at 6 this night for MNNSHP. Guess early to bed...any other ideas?
Donna-there are the fireworks for MNSSHP at 9:15 so you could hang out on the Poly beach after dinner and watch from there and catch the EWP at 9pm first. Its also a nice walk from Poly to GF so you could walk over there to relax after dinner too. Just soak up all the Disney atmosphere your first night. The castle all lit up is so beautiful from the Poly.

3Aumillers-on your 2nd to last day be sure to ask yourself "am I ready to go home now? What would I spend to stay another day?" Oh and be thankful its only $25/ticket some airlines charge more! Sounds like you've got a great trip planned.

Now that I think I have our dining all ironed out (hopefully) my next task is to figure out if we should go with a rental car or use Disney transportation. El Cheapo me says we should go with Disney's transportation ... but the Mom of an almost 4 year old side of me says having our own car would be a better option. What are the rest of you doing for transportation?????

Hey, where's MommyBoo been lately?? :confused3 Hope its just a well deserved vacation!! :wizard:

I'm here! Just been swamped with summer break and this week is Girl Scout camp week. I didn't volunteer this year because I knew I would be busy with the kids and taking care of my 90 year old grandparents. But, I've ended up working camp half the week anyway. My regular troop girls love it and keep dousing me with water!! :umbrella: I told them that Friday is payback day (gotta find a good water gun!). :teeth:

Anyway, haven't had much time for Disney planning :guilty: , but will after our party on Monday. Which we weren't going to have but then people started calling and asking if we were going to have our annual July Fourth party. Annual?? Last year was the first time we had it! :rotfl2: The curse of throwing excellent parties! :goodvibes

Here's the update!! Please check for errors. :wizard:

~*~*MommyBoo~*~*~ :goodvibes
Get those Girls!! :goodvibes I was a Girl Scout for well over ten years!! (yeah, ten is a good number! :rotfl: I have my "Gold" award - it was called something else waaaaay back then!!) How I love my memories of Girl Scouts!! Now I'm a Boy Scout Leader, heading for Camp July 10!! Cant wait! :goodvibes (My boys are up there as counselors!) ummmm Can I come to your party :goodvibes ?? huh huh can I?? I'll help!! :teeth:

Firemouse Fellow Hoosier!! What fun, first trip!! I'll reccommend "ear planes" for the air plane ride - you can get them at Wal Mart, Walgreens, Target etc, they cost under $7 - it stabilizes air pressure, preventing ear pain - wonderful invention!!

3Aumillers You can hang out at the transportation folder for more car rental advice, the one think I learned from there is if you decide to rent a car, you can do it onsite (WDW property!!) :goodvibes Dont use priceline unless you're very sure how it works (someone paid triple the actual price!) oh and if you do rent from the airport, check out the rental companies best customer programs... example I belong to Budgets Fast Break program, so I reserve a car, get to the airport, bypass the line, look at the computer screen for my name, and go to that location pick out any car in that location and drive to the exit to pay! :goodvibes

Welcome to new OCTOBER Partiers :grouphug:

Ok, y'all! Let me in on this insanity too! I am losing it trying to plan where we're going to eat! We've never done the dining plan, but when it's free I'm all over it. So, any tricks of the trade I need to know about? My DS is VERY picky and will live off of chicken nuggets, hot dogs, pizza and ice cream (and fresh fruit-that's one good thing he'll eat!) Or, could he pick off of our plates (he'll eat steak, baked chicken, pork, etc. too, but forget the veggies). Ok, I'm rambling. Here's the deal:

Cast: ::MinnieMo Me (30), ::MickeyMo DH (34), princess: DD (7), pirate: DS (will be 4)

When: Oct. 3 thru 9

Where: Pop Century

Here are the plans (subject to change in the next few seconds)!!

Mon: Check-in/swim/dinner at O'Hana

Tues: MK all day; Dinner at 1900 Park Fare so DD can dine with Cinderella

Wed: MGM, then Park Hop to MK probably; Dinner, anyone??

Thurs: Donald's Breakfastosaurus, AK for rest of day, Rainforest Cafe for Dinner??

Fri: Epcot for 1/2 day, park hop to MK, or maybe vice versa, dinner at Biergarten

Sat: MK all day- Dinner, anyone??

Yeah, I know we'll be at MK every day b/c of my kids! Anyway, does anyone have any other suggestions? Are we missing out by not going to Chef Mickey's one night? Maybe do that the last night? Any ideas will surely improve my state of mind immensely! :goodvibes OH! One more thing! Donald's may change depending on whether AK has the EMH on any day but Tues (cause that HAS to be MK). But, is it wise to get a 7 and 4 yr. old up THAT early?? Decisions, decisions!!!

We're going on Oct 1-7th!! My husband's first time to WDW for an anniversary/birthday celebration. I can't wait! We're staying at POFQ on the 1st and then transferring to SSR for the rest of our trip! Now to decide...to MNSSHP or not? Hope to see some fellow DIS'ers there!

For all of you OCTOBER Dis Travlers (and everybody else) :flower: HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!!! :jumping1:

LYNN4MEL I wish you a great and safe holiday weekend also. I hope everyone has great weather and lasting memories. I know the 4th of July fireworks won't be Disney's, but I will think of them as a small taste of what I will be seeing in Oct. :cool1: :cool1:
