Hi
With touringplans updating their crowd predictions (taken with a grain of salt), I am curious as to how many are heading to DL between the first of November and the 16th. We are there November 6-15th this year and cannot wait!

Wow, I don't know how accurate TP actually is. But our dates are 6's and 7's. With a 4 and a 9. Is it really that busy the first week?

We are there the 1st-6th. Booked it when airline tickets dropped to 100 round trip a few months ago. That might increase crowds as well as the parade taping and the next weekend being Veterans Day weekend.

That's kind of why I was curious. Part of ours jumped from 2/3's to 6's.

Nov 4-9th for us! Hoping for lighter crowds, but it's getting harder and harder to get a light day at Disneyland.

I should be there 9-11.

I didn't realize that was Veterans Weekend when I booked and hope it won't be too crazy.

Nov. 5-8 and yes, I have been concerned awhile now that it will be crowded.

I started a thread about it awhile back and was basically told I was overreacting. I've been watching the AP hotel discount rates calendar and the standard rooms at DLH are completely taken for 14 days in the first half of Nov. but not the second half. It used to be the other way around in past years. For the GCH it's filled dates are scattered throughout Nov. but all days are still available for PP at this point. (View rooms are still available at AP rate.)

I found the TP calendar. The highest number for our dates is DCA at 7.7 - what does that mean in their rating system?

They have days in Oct. rated lower which surprises me with all the people going for Halloween and the parties. How reliable is the TP calendar this far out?

*Update: I just read another thread and it seems some don't take the TP crowd level very seriously, I guess we will wait and see.

We will be there Nov. 5-9. I expect it to be a little busier than it was this time last year because of Carsland but last time we went was right after Christmas last year (including NYE day) and as long as it is not that busy I will be content. I just love Disney :goodvibes

We're there from the 6 to the 15th too. 7 day PHs, which almost doesn't seem like enough now!

We wrestled 8 day hoppers just before they were discontinued. I am feeling the same way. With any luck, we will get some quieter moments. I think what we really need to have in place is our Carsland plan. Sounds like that is absorbing the crowds. But I guess we will just have to wait and see. Here's some pixie dust for some good luck! pixiedust:

We r booked from 30th oct to 13th nov, only so long so we can take our time with three kids, and DD3 is desperate to see IASW, which was closed last time we were there for Halloween two yrs ago. Are the crowds heavy then? We have annual passes from three weeks a DW last year, so we are trying to make the most of them before they run out, coming from Australia we need to get good value for the money! Also surprising the kids, so any suggestions about when is the best one to tell them would be great! DH says on the way to Sydney airport, I think on the plane, but my parents think after we arrive at the hotel! I'm struggling to keep the secret already!! : )

Normally the timeframe you are going is not overly busy but this year seems to have thrown most "slow times" out the window. I don't think anyone here usable to guess what the crowds will be like.

On our first trip we surprised the kids. We arrived in the city we were flying out from the night before. Told the kids we had to be up early as Dad had a business meeting to get to the next morning in the next city. So they got up and were standing by the door ready to go and we asked them if the wanted to go to Calgary or Disneyland?! Our youngest daughter was so excited! My middle son cried (apparently he doesn't enjoy surprises...he did come around. And my oldest son said he didn't believe us until we had checked in at the airport! It was fun!
