Who's going - CKC Manchester?

I don't know alot of stuff in that area as I'm an hour+ north. But Ideas of what you might like to see would be a great start.

Great! So glad you are coming! Are you flying into Manchester or Boston/Logan? Are there any particular things you and your family are "in to" that you'd especially like to see while you are here?

Travel agent is calling me back tomorrow with flight info. This trip has had more decisions to make than going to Disney- lol. Boston is direct flight, but traffic. Manchester is not a direct flight. Cost is about the same.
My sis is a history nut. She wants to see Salem and will enjoy anything historical, museumy and she reads it ALL.
My mom is along for the ride. She was in the Boston area in Oct. She only recalls that is it pretty-10 day trip. Some memory issues obviously, but she loves to travel. She can out walk us all, and enjoys whatever we want to do.

Ooops- Keeno tonight and I am not ready!

Thanks to the lovely calanniebu who helped me out when I was at work, I have my classes too!
Friday
1:50-2:50 - Disney Magic
3:10-4:10 - Beyond the Square

Saturday:
9:50-10:50 - Top Techniques for Tantalizing Cards
1:50-2:50 - 8 Page Roundup
3:10-4:10 - A Little Goes a Long Way

Saturday lunch might have to be staggered - I could cancel the 1:50 class if the plans conflict, but it was one of my top choices so I'd like to try to keep it. I also may add a few classes down the line.

Ooh! Salem is my hometown! I also used to work summers for the office of Tourism, so I can definitely help you out with suggestions there. I'll PM you my email. I currently live just one town over, so let me know if you'd like a personal tour guide. (On Thursday - I'll be in Manchester on Fri)

Manchester is a little over an hour's drive from Salem. And you're going in the high-traffic direction (toward Boston) if you head down around rush hour. If you change your mind and want to stay closer to this end for the first night or two I can suggest some hotels.

True.... haha. I think I need to turn in for the day..... I'm not putting two and two together anymore.

haha -ya'll will need to keep me straight- I can see us driving to the "other" Salem.
NEE - pming you.
I mainly would like to keep the trip as stress free as possible! See a little and enjoy it, instead of seeing a lot and rushing....
I am so excited!

Any idea what and what time we are doing something Friday evening? I'd like to do the Deliciously different recipe book by Button Farm from 6 - 7:30.

Saturday,

8:30 Delightfully Easy by Technique Tuesday
and 11:10 Latest & Greatest w Basic Grey (LOVE that stuff)

Edited to say - I thought i'd go over and see what I needed to do to register and lo and behold! It let me register!! So, I got what I wanted! (Did sign up for the recipe book but will drop it in a heartbeat if it interfers with our get together.)

Linda - last year's class participants got to register a day early (yesterday) - so, if that's you - you were entitled to that early sign-up, too!

Don't worry about the Friday night Button Farm class - two members of our Mafia group are signing up for that one, too - so it won't affect our getting together. Some of us might just start cropping/partying a little early, that's all!

I just finished registration for myself and two friends and we got into all the Friday classes we wanted. Sadly, no Saturday classes for us due to schedules.

9:50 Irresistibly Intriguing Techniques
12:30 Simply Timeless 5x5 board book
1:50 Simple Summer Album

Mom just finished ours so we are all set. I got all mine that I listed above.

Mom's classes:
fri
8:30 Boxer Palooza
3:10 friends through thick and thin
4:30 fabolous flower techniques

sat
11:10 more 7 minute cards
1:50 101 for the boys

as for the friday crop in the room I figured people would be in and out and some might just be arriving. I'm VERY excited.

So glad everyone got what they wanted! We'll have to start a master list of everyone's classes.

Now we just have to wait for it get here!

Oh, time will pass pretty quickly! Some of us have the Hartford crop in February and the Cape retreat in March. By CK, I should be pretty well through my stash and ready to shop again ;)

linda WAAAAA:sad1: I want to do those to so badly but I just can't fit them into sugaring season. Hope you all have productive days. I'm going to have to get busy if I plan on shopping.

NEE that is a great idea then we know who's in what classes with us.

I forgot to register yesterday, but I just went in and I got everything I wanted. I'll come back on and let you know exactly what later. I'm so excited!..............P

You guys SUGAR? WOO! Do you make sufficient to sell? Where in VT are you, anyway? My mother's people were from Rochester then Starksboro, My Dad's came to Essex from Canada, and then Huntington and Charlotte.

PS tomorrow, I'll work on a spreadsheet of who's where when. Today, I was a little dizzy.

Linda we are right outside of White River Jct on the conn river. We produce about 350 gallons a year. mostly off of our own land that has been in DH's family since the late 1700's. It is a family operation he and I and the 2 boys. We have 1 guy that will go and collect from the other little bush we have and bring it to us. I just sold the last 1 1/2 gallons of last years crop. Actually we had thought we were out. It is a way of life DH can't miss it I swear he'd bleed syrup.

Ok - the Mafia's plans are changing a bit.

We're now thinking of breaking things up a bit (due to the class schedule and all getting what we want) and some of us might stay over Thurs and Fri and some of us just Fri night. But, in any case, we won't stay at the Radisson for Sat night, but will head home after the show floor closes and the last class ends, instead.

joyah, we're still linked to your room, so we're still all set there (and in case we don't get up to visit you in VT before CKC, I'll be putting in a syrup order!). DN14 - doesn't change my PM to you, either.
