Who's getting The Lion King Diamond Edition?

Yes because I want it on bluray. I have the 3 movie set (1, 1 1/2 and 2) that was discontinued a while back, but I'll only buy the first 1 on bluray.

No, since I have it on DVD from the last time it was released in the vault. The Lion King is my favorite movie (not just my favorite Disney movie, but my favorite out of any movies, period), but I don't think I can justify spending the money for a new edition of a movie I already have.
Funnily enough, last night I actually had a dream that I bought a seven-disc special edition DVD of The Lion King that contained tons of "making-of" features and a DVD of the Broadway show. (Sadly a set like this doesn't actually exist...) Now that would be something I'd be willing to pay a lot for!

Le sigh. I hate this "vault" stuff. I had Cinderella and Little Mermaid. Key word "had". Some jerks broke into my house and stole ALOT of stuff....including all the Disney movies.

Me! I don't have it on DVD or VHS yet so I'm getting the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack plus the lithograms plus the coupon for Disney Store!

We do have a Blu-Ray player now so getting the Blu-Ray combo packs is great for us. Plus who knows what'll happen in the 7 years that it's in the vault... I might be married and have kids by then. Wow, that's a scary thought.

We saw the 3-D movie today in the theater and it was incredible!

It also made us realize that we don't have the movie on DVD. So we'll probably buy it on blue-ray.

I just preordered mine a couple of days ago. We only have it on VHS tapes, so of course I needed to update my collection. My kids don't know I did this and I am going to surprise them with it when we leave for our trip to Williamsburg Va. next month....they love that movie

Absolutely getting it. In fact, I preordered it from the Disney Store and got some really great lithographs. And, by the way, I DON'T CONSIDER IT A GIMMICK! lion king is one of Disney's all time best movies, and I was so happy to see that my daughter got a chance to view it in an actual theater. Absolutely wonderful.

Of course! We're buying all of them on Blu-Ray as they become available! The old DVDs are for the kids to play on the playroom TV and get scratched up. The Blu-Rays are only for Mom & Dad's TV.
