Who's done the new ride at Typhoon Lagoon?

I did it last week. Crushin' Gusher.

Very good, 3 different tracks. 2 per raft. Has a few spots where a belt zips you uphill like a coaster. Lift your butt on these sections, the belts "slap" your butt, and it hurts.

Have fun!

I waited maybe 5 minutes...

WE did it in April-two tracks allow 3 riders. Just keep your butt from dragging and it's great. OUr raft did a end over end flip when we landed in the pool. Crazy!
Oh we didn't wait-it was Sunday April 24.

We also went in April. We went on it three times to experience all of the routes with no lines and no waiting - but we went there first. As the day went on the line got longer and longer. Definitely keep your butt up - I did not the first time down and it does hurt a bit - but nothing too bad. Everyone in our group 41, 40, 30, 28, 6 loved it! Can't wait to go back in Oct.

Hello!

All three of the Crush'n'Gusher slides are GREAT! We went last Wednesday afternoon and were surprised (and very pleased) that the lineups weren't bigger. We walked on the first slide, waited about five minutes for the middle slide, and about two minutes for the third slide.

Funny, I posted this yesterday morning and last night my dh called from a hotel in Cleveland and said he had just seen this ride on TV - he was excited!
I cannot cannot cannot wait to go!

I went on it in Apr. Be sure to lift the old butt. I got a bruise the size of a fastball. It was great fun tho.you really go fast.

There aren't any huge drops, its just very fast- we got air on some of the hills! We went to TL two times and both times we did Crush n Gusher within the first 2 hours of the park's opening and there was no lines.

Do any of you who have ridden these rides wear contacts???? Any problems??

Is this 'water coaster' and fast? How are the drops?

Its not really a watercoaster, just a flume with uphill bits. Journey to Atlantis at Seaworld is a proper watercoaster. The drops are fast but not far, as everyone else has said, you really want to lift your butt up to stop it hitting the flume when the tube bottoms out after the drop. Fun ride but short, only 3 drops per ride and as far as i could tell, all the 3 flumes were identical.

I did it last week....we got there first thing in the morning...I was able to walk on....and then walk on again right after that...no line.

like the previous posters say....keep your butt up and its a blast

The 3 ds did it, they said they crashed at the end of one of them, and they liked the pineapple one the best of the 3. I told them to pick up their butts too because I read it on the boards. I told them the goal was to stay in the raft!!

Thanks for the info! It helped a bunch. I guess I kinda was assuming it would go faster...oh well, that won't stop me from trying all 3 next time I go. ::yes::

Where at TL is this new coaster located? Is it near any of the existing slides?

Thanks!

Went in April no waiting in any of the lines. We did it about 2 and the crowd did seem in other areas of the park. My contacts were not bothered at all.
I agree on keeping up your butt. It is located off the walkway behind the dressing rooms going to the Shark Reef. There is a nice pool back there also that was not crowded and lots of chairs available. The ride is not any faster than other flume type rides. It is dark for short periods of time but not scary.
It was an absolute blast. You have to try all three coasters as each is a little different. Enjoy!

I didn't realize this was a multiple person ride - will they let individuals ride on it alone? DH and I will need to take turns since our DS is little.
