who's counting down the days until Fri - Oprah' debt diet show?

So, Oprah had the psychiatrist on today with two of the couples, the African American couple and the couple with the lady with long dark hair and two teenage girls. So, here's what I don't get-- why did Oprah and the psychiatrist treat the two women like they are the victims? Those women have shopped their families into bankruptcy, but instead of holding them accountable for their selfish, immature actions, they were told they had addictions, a "shopping" disease. Somehow their sad childhoods made them behave like idiots. The dark haired woman even withheld child support checks from her husbands daughter, while she bought her own daughter 300 pairs of jeans.

Here's my other question, why don't those men just leave? If there was ever justification for a divorce, absent physical violence, it's these cases. They have the earning power, but they both seem so beaten down. Those wives are awful people, and they deserve to be alone. So does the woman who was on yesterday, the doctor's wife who buys porn for her kids. That lady cuts her arm a few times and gets a pass for her evil ways.
