Who's buying The Beatles Rockband 09/09/09?

I have been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced. Time Magazine gave it a really good review. Any other Beatle fans out there looking forward to Wednesday?

We're excited, too! The whole family sat going thru the song list a few weeks back singing all the songs and playing mock guitar. I suspect it will be a big hit in our house! YEAH - YEAH - YEAH!

That is wonderful that you have a house full of Beatlemaniacs! I have tried for years to get my girls (15,14) into the Beatles and they have resisted. My husband isn't a fan, either. I'm the only Beatle fan for now. Hopefully, Rock Band will do the trick and they will finally learn to love the Beatles.

Funny story: our neighbors name is Rocky. We were sitting on the deck one day and he got home. Haley, DD15 started singing "Rocky Raccoon" and I joined in. She looked at me, flabbergasted and said "HOW do you know that song??". I told her it was a Beatles song. She said her middle school teacher brought his guitar to school one day and sung it. She thought HE wrote it.

I told her there must have been a mixup at the hospital when she was born.

Come over to my house. My daughters and I are huge Beatles fans. I'm a first generation fan, and I introduced the music of the Beatles to my kids from the day they were born. My son and husband never really got on the bandwagon (no pun intended-), but they do appreciate their music.

The Beatles Rockband is neat, but that's not what I'm looking forward to. I'm jumping for joy over the release this week of the Beatles music in a boxed mono set!!!

I'm working on my one year old grandson now. I have a set of the cartoon Beatles sitting on a shelf and when I ask him where the Beatles are, he points to the figures. Now, I'm working on him being able to indentify the individual figures. He's going to be a young Beatles fan! ha!ha!

Rockband and the two boxed sets will be on my doorstep Wednesday. I'm a major Beatle fan and our two(grown) DDs know and like quite a bit of the music. When they went off to college one of my DDs insisted on getting a Beatles poster for her dorm room so it would feel more like home.

Can you play Rock Band with Guitar Hero instruments? We've got GH World Tour and I really want Beatles Rock Band. Can I just get the game and play with the instruments I have, or do I need the whole shibang?

This family can't WAIT to buy it! I'm the biggest fan in the family, but DD almost topped me there for a few years. Alas, time moved on and she isn't such a fan anymore. I remember having to tell her that John Lennon had been murdered... she was so sad. She'd known that Paul was still alive and kicking but one day asked what happened to John. It was so hard to tell her.

For all of us Beatlemaniacs, VH1 Classic is playing all sorts of Beatles stuff this week. There are 3 Anthologies (stuff even I didn't know!), A Hard Day's Night, HELP (boy that movie was lame ), concerts and all kinds of goodies.

Will this work with the plain old Guitar Hero (the original, old one)? I would love to play some Beatles on Guitar Hero.

I'll just be buying the game as we have the instruments for Rock Band already....but if I had the money I would buy the whole package because they are making the instruments to look like what the Beatles used. It's killer.

I watched some of the Anthology yesterday on VH1. I bought my dad the set for Christmas one year, so I have seen most of it. But yesterday sure got me in the mood for the game! I highly recommend any Beatle fan get the Anthology. It was made when George was still alive. It's an excellent documentary. If anyone has seen it and is very familiar with it, the hour or so I watched was about when the Beatles first came to America. At the end, they mentioned the famous Shea Stadium concert, and they have each Beatle saying Shea Stadium in different clips. It gave me cold chills.

I'll be getting the game on Wednesday for sure. I'm even taking the day off work and plan to play through all the songs in one long session.

They have gotten exactly 3 game only units to sell on Wednesday and they were only taking pre orders for the sets with instruments. I hope that all of you looking forward to get getting it have an easy time finding it. DH is worried that it's going to be crazy.

Life is pretty busy right now, so I don't plan on camping out Tuesday night, therefore most likely I will have to wait.

We did plan our family vacation around traveling from Texas to Boston to see Paul McCartney at Fenway Park for my daughter's 15th birthday, so I hope that I have enough street cred to post on this thread.

It will be extremely easy to get the game. Getting a disk is as easy as walking into any store and asking for it. The special addition may be harder but not much.

That may be true. I don't know that much about it. Just sharing what my DH told me about TRU's supply, which seems to be minimal.
