Who's been to Vegas???

I've been to Vegas dozens of times and actually lived out there in the early 90's. . :) :)

Haven't been out since '97, but I can say that Bally's and Caesar's have the best buffet's, but it'll cost you. . . for budget buffet's that are good get off the strip and try one of the "Station" casinos; Palace Station or Boulder Station.

The best all-around places I've stayed are the Golden Nugget, the Mirage, and the Rio. . . the Rio is a great place, but off the strip a little. .

If you want a budget room in a great location, try Harrah's. . the rooms are just average, but the service is great and the location can't be beat. .

As far as shows. . Lance Burton is great; and so is Danny Gans. . Siegfried and Roy are good, but way over priced. .

Good luck with your trip planning!! Not sure when I'll get back out but I think I'd like to give Mandalay Bay a try. . :) :)

Rio's 5
Stardust 4
Ballys 2
MgM 2
Excalibur 1
Flamingo 2
Treasure Island for the 1st time in March.

Buffets I prefer are, Carnival Buffet at Rio's, Excalibur's buffet, stay away from circus circus yuck. Now I hear Ceasars is pretty good. We plan on checking that out this time around.

As far as show's:o Well you can see I can't wait to see Thunder From Down Under and the Chippendales. Crazy girls and Jubilee is on our list also:rolleyes:

If you like jazz, check out Ghalib Ghallob at the Terraze lounge in Ceasars Palace(i hope i spelled that right) He is awsome, and it is very very laid back:D

We also travel to Laughlin just to get away from the strip. THe Scenery is gorgeous.

I've been to Vegas many times and going next month, actually.

The absolutely BEST hotel there is the Four Seasons, but that is definitely a special occasion place and expensive.

Mandalay Bay and the Venetian are also nice. I'm trying the Mirage for the first time next month and seeing Blue Man Group at the Luxor as well, which I'm looking forward to. :)

I have never been, but it sounds like you will have a great vacation! I expect a post card!!!:p

We stayed at Paris and loved it. The buffets for breakfast and dinner are both wonderful. My favorite show recently closed, but we also loved "O' and Mystere (Cirque shows), Jubilee for a typical Vegas showgirl show and Lance Burton for magic/illusionist.

I went to Las Vegas in July 2001 and it was HOT HOT HOT. We stayed in Circus Circus. The only tours we did were to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon was totally breath taking, I would love to go again.

I go to Las Vegas about once a year. My favorite hotel is the Paris. I like it even better than the snootier Caesars or Bellagio -- and I've stayed at all 3. They've got beautiful rooms and a great french buffet -- each section represents a french provence. I also like the Aladdin buffet. If cost is a consideration, however, the best deal is just off strip at the Gold Coast -- it's mostly locals there so it must be a good deal? Nothing swank, but clean, nice rooms.

My recommendation is to save money on the room and see a few awesome but pricey shows. Either of the Cirque shows are terrific. The musical Mama Mia is also opening at the Mandalay Bay next month. Also, let's not forget Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton, who does a terrific show.

If you're a shopper, visit Aladdin, Bellagio, Caesars, and the Venetian. Also, about an hour away is Primm, a designer outlet mall.

Wow!! Some great replies here!! Thanks guys.......I knew I could get some great "reviews" here!

WM Michelle, pm me when you get back from your March trip. I would love to hear about both the Mirage and the Blue Men Group! :bounce:

I SO WANT TO TAKE THE GRAND CANYON HELICOPTER TOUR, BUT HUBBY IS NOT GOING FOR IT:( WE WERE IN VEGAS WHEN A HELICOPTER CRASHED CARRYING 5 PEOPLE:(

15yrs ago I went to help with the booth my employee had at a computer convention. I was asked where I wanted to go/which show I wanted to help at and I chose Vegas. This was on my 30th birthday.
