Whole milk? Fruit at Pop? in the parks?

I just found out that my niece (age 17) who is dealing with health problems will need to have whole milk with breakfast every day as well as fresh fruit with lunch (she has to bring her lunch to the parks). We leave on Tuesday, 11/20, so we are trying to find out as much as possible regarding her diet as we can so that we can be organized. She is on the dining plan so I know that she can get fruit with her snack credit and she will be using her table-service credits as well (just not her counter-service credits).

I'd love to find out if anyone has bought *whole* milk at Pop Century and where we can buy fruit in each of the parks.

Thanks so much!

First off sorry someone so young is having to deal with Health issues.

We just returned and we stopped over at POP century to show my kids the PacMan buildings and ate lunch there. Wow what a selection of food and snacks and lots of fruit. I would say I saw fruit everywhere we wents. Lots of options at the parks too. Every CS offered apple slices or grapes at least. I think if you need fruit you should be fine. If she is not using her counter service credits some places let you switch the CS credits for snacks. BUT SOME PLACES DONT. For instance the POLY and the BWI/BWV say you can change a CS for 1 baked good and two drinks. Very Dumb! We stayed at the GF and they let us use our left over CS credits for 3 snacks per CS. We ended up getting lots of little things. There simply is too much food on the DDP plan, so you should be able to use the credits to get fresh fruit. Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip.

I know we saw milk cartons at POP. My kids opted for the Chocolate, but I am pretty sure they had regular whole milk. But I can't answer your question for sure. Sorry

We were at POP from 11/1-11/7. Like others said there is always plenty of fruit. They have a pretty big bowl of mixed fruit that my kids ate every day. Also there is whole milk at the POP food court.

Have a magical trip!

We stayed at POP last year and found the same and the fruit (which I prefer to eat over most anything else) is very tasty!

I don't know about at other parks, but at MK the Main Street Bakery has apples and bananas that are snack credit eligible, and there is a fruit stand in AK that I think accepts snack credits as well. And there is the apple slices/grapes option for a side order at many of the CS locations.

There is non-flavored white milk everywhere but for the most part it is low fat not whole milk. I'm sure whole milk is carried in many locations but you might want to contact someone in food services and see where in each park. In the resorts if it isn't in the food court it is probably available in the gift shop food section. My kids only drink low fat milk and we never encountered whole milk on our visit low fat was the usual option.

I love fresh fruit and had no problems (even at the CS places) finding it. In fact I was really impressed with this aspect.

Wow! Thanks for such quick answers, everyone! It was really helpful! :thanks:
