Can anyone tell me about this store? I have been meaning to stop in and I wondered if there were any items that were particularly good or should be avoided. I have heard it's pricey - is it worth it?

DD has food allergies so I go there often. The food tends to be healther concerning pesticides, organic, & preservatives. The have the best white cheddar cheese popcorn. I'm hungry just thinking about it. They also have cooking classes.

Pricey= YES
Worth it = YES

Love it there. (Columbus Circle, NYC) When I was taking classes at Fordham, Lincoln Center, I stopped ther everyday when I got off the subway.

I liked the cheese varieties. Grabbed a Jamba Juice, cut up pineapple mixed w/other fruits. THe flat bread pizza is good, sushi is yummy...I mostly had the prepared stuff.

I shop there in Boston (Beacon Hill) every week. You won't find anything unhealthy in there! It's worth the price! The chicken in the case is really delish, and I get the buffet sometimes too, lots of salad fixings etc.
I love it!

Very expensive, very crowded, very small, I have only been in this store 2 times, and each time I walked out without buying anything. :rolleyes: The "eating area" is always crowded and never a place to sit down, no matter WHAT time you go, people just take up the tables like they have NOTHING to do! :rolleyes: Many of the items you can buy at Publix for half the cost, heck we even have organic Beef now! ;)

I love whole food, fresh market, and wild oats. They are great and I love how those stores have really brought back pleasant service also.

I love cheese and I have heard that they have a lot of varieties! Thank you everyone for your help - it sounds really good, I'll post what I thought this weekend when I stop in.

OK today I checked it out and WOW! I couldn't believe the amount of stuff! It was pricy but I got the impression that the quality was above average. I got a couple of cheeses, they sell my absolute favorite cookie "Carol's Cookies" which was great - no more mail order! The deli was amazing - shrimp bars, soup bars, mexican food bar, gelatto, chocolate candy. I'm in love!!

They are your typical natural foods market. The one we went to was definitely expensive..but so was Giant compared to Publix at home.

We loved their berry trifle desserts they made in the bakery. Got some yummy yummy sausage there as well from Africa. As RR would say--YUMMO!

Locally we only have a Wild Oats. I like Whole Foods better--but Wild Oats will do. :)

We have a large, nice Whole Foods store, but it's not real close (about 20 minutes away in an area that I don't go to often), so I don't make it there as frequently as I'd like. The produce is nice, but expensive. They usually have samples, so the kids like it. Nice deli/side dish area with all kinds of potato and pasta type salads and more. Also, the sushi is pretty good for a grocery store. Good bakery and a nice selection of cheese.

They just built one near us and it is WONDERFUL! A bit pricey but totally worth it. :thumbsup2

Wow ours is the complete opposite. Plenty of tables, plenty of room.
