No discount, but by joining EC, or Quicksilver, you completely avoid the hard-sell, because you fill out a master rental agreement in advance, so you don't have to fill out all that tedious paperwork.

How about modifying this poll to add the other majors? Or at least "none of the above"?

I refuse to even consider Alamo because of their very anti-customer attitude, such as using scare tactics to get people to buy "insurance" or a larger car. Now that they are part of the same organization as National, I'm afraid to try them either.

I have Alamo 7 day minivan ressie in sept with ACG coupon BY, contract ID #641394, coupon #DT9B for $199.74.

I also have National 7 day minivan ressie in sept with priceless contract ID #6600330 or ent coupon contract ID #5066914 (either one came out same price for me), ent coupon #10009123, and product rate WWEB (had to use or it was higher) for total price of $257.60.

Obviously, I lean towards cheaper, but I've read some bad things about Alamo. What would you do?

I used to use Dollar. On the last 2 trips we used Alamo. Alamo does allow you to pick your vehicle. Last time we rented a minivan and the one we picked out had a DVD player. My DD5 was very excited. We had a problem with our keys last time and Alamo handled it fine. We are using Alamo this time-maybe we can get a DVD player van again.

I did start another poll comparing all car rental places at MCO. But, in this poll, I specifically wanted to know about these 2 because these were the 2 lowest prices I could find.
