Okay...I have to brag a little ...My daughters Jr. Prep team WON 1st place the thier FIRST National Comp!!!!! My sons co-ed team came in 2nd and my other daughters Junior team got 4th!!! This was the first national comp that we have been to.

Congratulations, that's fantastic! I'm sure your teams will do amazing at UCA Nationals in WDW, too. The competition is an experience they will never forget!

Well I guess Im happy we are not going to the same competition in Disney (even though I would love to meet everyone!! ) Since both our Daughters would be competiting against each other(My DD team is Jr prep also! 6th grade and under)!! I would have to wish for a tie!!!

You guys must be getting excited for your trip here to Florida!! Im getting excited for our National competition in Orlando also!!

They are at a HUGE competition this weekend in Georgia!! Incredible team if you ever get a chance to watch the Stingrays (any of their teams) you should!!!

Hey welcome to our Dis cheerleading discusion!!!!

I wish we were going to that one!! I cant believe NO Disers are going to the Nationals at the Swan and Dolphin (March 3-5)

THe owner of our gym (Titan All Stars) is judging that competition this week end!!! Her name is Daniele vanOssenbruggen Mehringer.

I wish we went to that competition!! It is HUGE!!!! I mean HUGE!!!!! They had to break down most of the divisions in THREE different sizes Small,medium and Large!! and each of these have over 10 teams per group!!!!WOW!!

I just got back from Cheersport Nationals...your right tnkrbell, it was HUGE. The competition was very intense, but fun, and the talent was amazing.

WDW LifeLong Fan, are you sure that your gym is coming to UCA Nationals the 2nd weekend in March? I talked to some parents from the Stingrays today, and they said ya'll were going to The American Championships Nationals the last weekend in March? I really hope they were wrong, but let us know!

I have to say I at first I thought Stingrays must be going to American open but that is the end of march not the begining!!
I lOVE that company that runs the American open!! Very well run!! I have never been to a UCA event so I can not compare the two.
I just know that the first time I had the pleasure of watching the Stingrays it was at the American open but it was held in Tampa. What talented teams~!!~

Disneyelite- Where are you from in Alabama? Is your team competing at the UCA national the second weekend of March? Which resort are you staying at? We are from Huntsville. I have 3 girls cheering. We are staying at ASSP then moving to POR after the competition. Good Luck!

Hi I just wanted to share again. First of all I love reading about cheerleading on the disboards. My DD has been cheering for 11 years. She competed in at college UCA nationals in Jan. They came in 4th. They were excited but the real good news was that this weekend my DD tried out to be on UCA Staff and she made it!! She is sooo excited. She has had a great time as a cheerleader and now she will work the camps and competitions and do what she really loves. It was a dream come true. You go girls! Good luck to all!

I was event staff (too young to be a judge, I'm a college student...maybe someday!) I was a runner for the points deduction judges that are right next to the mat in Arenas E and F...so I got to see a lot of the routines up close! Very exciting!

I was also there supporting my sisters squad (and my former gym) Memphis Elite, from Memphis, TN. They had teams in Large Youth Advanced, Large Junior Advanced and Small Senior Excel. Overall, they did very well, but no wins. The competition is fierce at Cheersport! They will be bringing all 6 of their teams to UCA Nationals the 2nd weekend in March.

Someone asked where I'm from in Alabama...I go to Auburn University in Auburn, AL...but I'm from Memphis, TN.

Can't wait to see everyone's teams in Florida!

I love the American Championships also...UCA has a similar feel to it, at least in my opinion. Both have very fun and challenging nationals. They moved the Open to Orlando this year...but I'm not sure why?

I saw 5 of the Stingrays teams this weekend and they were all phenomenal.
