As for tips for a 2 year old - Go with the flow. My DS is now a WDW veteran, and we will be celebrating his 5th birthday, and our 10th anniversary (we honeymooned at WL 10 years ago). This time I got to pick the hotel and we are staying at the Poly.
We try not to change the normal schedule for sleeping and eating - even now. We are early risers and find the EMH in the AM are great for us. We go to whichever part bright & early, stay til noonish, take a break &/or a nap at the hotel, and then fill the evening with whatever we want. We may go back to a park, or hang out at the pool, or go to DTD. (Which my son still loves - They have a little choo-choo, awesome toy store, dancing fountains, mega
lego store and a Rainforest Cafe.)
We always just do as much or as little as the slowest or most tired one of the group wants to do, and never give them a hard time. If we are a large group, we split up.
Just remember to have fun. If it stops being fun, it's time to take a break!
Have a blast!!!
