Just a question. I've heard a lot of people talk about wearing running shoes.. and a lot of people recommend buying CoolMax socks and the like.
I went to disney last year at the end of August and will be going again this year. I can't imagine wearing running shoes and socks at that time of the year.
Do people actually do that? And if you're someone who does, is it so comfortable that it offsets the heat?

If I don't wear socks, I get blisters, no matter what kind of shoe I wear.
as for staying dry and clean-smelling, I frequently wash the footwear on delicate cycle, so there's no bad smells and they dry quickly when turned upside down on a special shoe dryer we have at home. in all the rainy vacations we've taken at WDW (and Dollywood in Tennessee), neither have ever been a problem
