Who wants to plan with me? mid Nov - mid Dec - We're up to 110! WOW!

Friends and I are celebrating Sabrina's first trip & Thanksgiving by staying @ All Star Movies Novemeber 19th to 27th. (We're hoping for a Toy Story Room.) We're having Thanksgiving dinner with pals Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, & Piglet at Crystal Palace. We're also eating at Rose & Crown (my absolute favorite), Le Cellier, Biergarten, & Coral Reef (another favorite). We're having breakfast at Boma's (I want to try the coffee!!) and O'Hana.

:lovestrucI love my PassPorter!!!:lovestruc I use it for every trip. I also used Deb's Unofficial WDW page. And WDWinfo of course!

I have my Disney music in my car to listen to for my quick fix. My friend Diane and I talk WDW vacay a lot. Reminise about past trips and what we can't wait to do on our upcoming trips. I'm waiting for a Dole Whip. Sabrina wants a turkey leg so bad she can't stand it. I really wanted a candy apple, but my braces won't be off in time. :sad2:

Life's been rough this year. Horrible family dynamics that started when my grandpa passed right before Christmas. I am so looking forward to some time at my happy place.

We'll be there the same time. If there IS a Toy Story section at All Star Movies (the only All Star I've stayed at is Music in the Jazz building), then you should call them right up and request that you get the Toy Story building. Its just a request, but they do make every effort to accommodate requests such as this. I make requests all the time.

Forgive this DIS veteran for being ditzy..:rolleyes1... but what is this Passporter people keep talking about? :confused3 I've never asked! :rotfl:

Well, we did lose the Cape May reservation, but yesterday we found a 9:05AM ADR at 1900 Park Fare :woohoo: We're actually gonna keep checking for something a little earlier, but we're happy to have something since apparently my mom's friend's granddaughter really wants to see Mary Poppins. Goes to show that you can find late reservations if you're lucky and you keep checking :yay:

Oh, and we added up the cost of our ADRs vs. the cost of the dining plan (again) since we added two new TS restaurants and it still doesn't save us any money. It means we don't have to worry about using the plan (thank goodness), but at this point we're rather confused about how people do save money with it

You got me!!:confused3 The time we went for Thanksgiving and had several dinner ADR's including a dinner show, 4 adults and 1 child and paid out of pocket, then I added up the cost of ALL our dining on property including snacks and beverages and compared it to how much we'd have paid had we done the dining plan, and it was a complete wash. The difference was less than $1.00. I guess, since kids are what? $12 a day on the meal plan, if you have 3 or more children, you'd probably save a small amount of money because a kids meal will cost you about $7-8 each. But my child won't eat a full kids meal anyway, so most of it is wasted food. She'll eat 1/3 to 1/2 a pretzel from Sommerfest and be full. I think that back when the meal plan was first created, and it included appetizer, dessert, entree, drink and tip... THEN you SAVED money. But Disney was obviously losing money since you were saving money... so they put the breaks on THAT plan!

Just in case she wants to see Mary Poppins again....we have often run into her in the shops area of England in Epcot.

It seems like no one has answered your passporter question yet. It is a guide book-planner-organizer with different editions for different Disney locations: world, land, cruise. One unique feature is the back section of cardboard pockets that you can write on (front- plans) with a pocket to slip souvenirs
in (flat paper ones - luggage tags, maps, hours cards) and room on the back to journal what happened that day, keep track of expenses, whatever is important to you. I love this system. Since I scrapbook our trips years after we take them, it helps me remember details. They have a website, passporter.com

We will be at Saratoga Springs Nov. 27-Dec.1 for DS bday and MVMCP.
Can't wait!

Well I'm glad it's not just us! Made me feel like we were doing our math wrong  It'd have to actually save us a good but of money for me to want to be stuck on a plan.

Thanks for the tip. We don't spend a lot of time hunting the characters normally, only if we see Eeyore somewhere :yay:. Come to think of it, I think we saw Eeyore in Epcot's UK also last time

Thanks for the info. I'll check out the website. I was thinking about creating my own planner/organizer, but if there is already a good one, why re-invent the wheel?:confused3 I also want to make some sort of question/answer form to give to my sister so she can indicate what rides/shows/attractions she wants to try to make it to this trip, so I can work out our daily touring plan. She will be given a laminated card with the days plans and warned not to mess with my plan! :lmao:

looks like we'll just pass each other at Saratoga... too bad!

Back when the meal plan included appetizer (for all) and also included tip... it was both a savings and convenient. Now it just ties you to ADR's that might not fit in with a slightly modified touring plan.

Eeyore, Pooh and Tigger regularly meet & greet in the back of the gift shop in England on the left side. We've often found Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland in front of the Twinings Tea house. :woohoo:

Hey y'all! Quickly checking in this morning. Shhh...don't tell anyone. :goodvibes Big changes to our trip....friends cancelled on us Tuesday afternoon so we've cancelled our house rental and moved to a split stay at Pop and POR FQ with free dining!!! Lots to brush up on and figure out so I see some DIS board time in my near future. I'll catch up on everyone's updates very soon!!

There is a schedule for Mary Poppins in England (and probably for all characters there) I don't recall the time but it was every hour during the afternoon (maybe 20 minutes past each hour? not sure) but we found out when we were there in FEb. Ask and they will say the schedule It wasn't printed just word of mouth. (agree on dining plan!!)

I've been away from the boards for a while too. Working full time and being a full time wife and mother has left me NO time for the dis. Trying to work in a few mins of "me" time each night...guess where I'll be spending it? :surfweb:

So...here's a rough draft of our plan. our only definates are where we are eating dinner. popcorn::

Dec 3- :car: departing around 9pm for our LONG drive to Orlando (5 adults going so we have LOTS of drivers this time!:thumbsup2)

Dec 4- We should arrive at DTD Hilton:dance3: (Our "prevacation" destination) around 9am or so (figuring in stops and all that jazz). Will probably hit up Walmart in Kissimmee for supplies and such. We will be having lunch and dinner at DTD.:dance3:

Dec 5- We check out of DTD Hilton pretty early and head "home" to POFQ:banana::banana: Dinner tonight at Chef Mickeys. (1st night a disney tradition for us)

Dec 6- Dinner at Ohana!! :cheer2:

Dec 7- Candlelight Processional night!!! :santa: CPDP at Coral Reef (First time we won't be eating at Le Cellier.....Please tell me good things about Coral Reef!! :worship:

Dec 8- Dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Dessert from the Gingerbread house!!!:woohoo:

Dec 9- MVMCP Night!!! :santa: Dinner at LTT!!:jumping2:

Dec 10- Dinner at Planet Hollywood :cool2:

Dec 11- a few hours in the parks before we head back home. :mickeyjum

I feel SO much better knowing all the plans are made. It's the first time I've planned for 6 of us. We always keep what park we go to on what day open. Just based on how we feel. We are SO ready!!!! :rainbow:

54 days! Poly here I come! :)

We're at 54 days too!!!! It's so exciting to be able to say "We'll be in Disney World next month"!

We're paying off the trip on Friday and then I get to wait for our documents and Magical Express stuff to arrive.

Plus it is finally starting to cool off and be more "fallish" out her and I have all the fun fall festivals, Halloween and then Thanksgiving to look forward to so I think the time till we leave will start passing a little faster. :cloud9:

We have our 2010 disney vacation planned for Nov 13th - 20th. We are staying for the first time at PORS. We have stayed multiple times at POFQ but never at RS, so excited to try it! It will be me, DH, DS (11), DS (7), DD (3) along with my parents and sister, BIL, neice and nephew. Can't wait!! This will be my 11 yr olds 12th trip!!
