Who wants to admit that they did their taxes today?

I don't know what was wrong with me this year. I did the bulk of the work on February 18 and finally got around to finishing today. I had done enough to know we didn't have to pay and that our tiny refunds wouldn't be sending us to Disney, remodeling our house, etc.

I filed electronically b/c of the absolute raft of pages printed out. Obviously, it will be after the deadline before I hear that our return has been "accepted"? Should I be worried?

Hey, I posted the same type of message at the same time you posted this. Great minds think alike.

Unfortunately, I'm not getting any money back. I'm having to give them my Disney vacation $$$$. Darn it!!!

That's a bummer, escape. My refund would pay for resort for one night or maybe two meals at WDW -- definitely not enough to pay for a vacation.

My DH started Saturday, worked on it yesterday, and finished today. We don't have to file until tomorrow. And we get $ back.

Just got home at 9pm from mailing ours, 2 of our DDs', and our DIL's taxes.

I worked on finalizing, printing, assembling etc all of them ALL day! I started most of them in early February. Always do them quickly at first to the point of knowing what kinf of refund everyone will be getting. Then the sit there - until they are due. It's crazy.

I am so mentally exhausted. NEXT YEAR it will be different...

We mail to MA, and today is Patriot's Day there, so a holiday. They don't have to file today, so Maryland and the other states that send to MA also get one day. Because of that, even our state taxes are delayed a day.

we filed federal electronically in Feb and got our refund already. Long gone.
Filed state telefile today and mailed local. Procrastination.

I was ahead of the game this year. I got Turbotax back in February.

... and installed it last night

I finally finished about 1am

... and took it to the post office that closes at 7pm -- so I made it in time ... this year, at least.

I had to pay, so I wasn't in any hurry.
