After reading several posts on the subject,I thought I would send an email to Tim Hortons head office to see if any of the rumours were true.
Here is the reponse:

I have posted a Poll because my intent is to have as many Canadian Disers to read this, post their opinion ,then I'm going to send the link to Tim Hortons to hopefully show the interest in such an endeavour.

As cool as that would be I think it would be better served at the crossroads centre and the Orlando Airport.

Umm....the point of this would be that Tim Hortons is a Canadian institution and it would be perfect in the Canadian pavilion (Crossroads and MCO would'nt likely have any interest in Timmy's).

I love Tim Hortons Moka Coffee!!! Let them have a TH at Epcot!

Please!!! Please!!! Please!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I would only use it for the frosted cinnamon rolls and the old fashioned plain doughnuts. But I still think it would be better at Crossroads and MCO. That way those flying can get a little taste of home before getting on the plane and those drivcing can grab one before they get to Ohio. Or without having to waste a day on a pass to go for one.

God no! They already have McDonald's everywhere at WDW I don't think we need a Tim Horton's. It cheapens the pavillon IMHO.

Well, Tim's is definately Canadian...or so I am told. There are no Tim's in the U.S. If this is true, I would say Tim's is a part of us. So, maybe it should be part of the pavilion. :confused3
If you are a Tim's drinker, it would be great to treat yourself to your favorite coffee!! :drinking1

Actually we saw Tim's in Ohio, MI and KY on our drive south this spring. ;)

You got my vote on this one. When we went to WDW in July the first thing on our list to pack was a can of Timmy's coffee. It was abit of home to enjoy while we were there.Good to the last drop. :wave2:

Im not a coffee drinker so it really wouldnt make a difference to me if Tim's was there or not. I know my husband would probably say yes.

Just to let you know that yes there is Tim's in the US. Not sure how many but they are in Buffalo NY and Ohio. Not sure if they have any more in other states or not.

If Beaver Tails made it, then Tim's definitely should be there! There is one on every block here in Halifax!

Where is the Timmies in Kentucky I don't recall seeing it or a sign for it during our drive down in May. I am no longer a coffee drinker but I love the cinnamom rolls and old fashioned plain doughnuts.

Thanks WEE I apprecaite that now I have another cinnamon bun stop a little further down LOL.

Yes, Tim hortons is a Canadian company, but like many others is owned by a US group.

Tim Hortons is the financial centre of Wendy's, representing just over a quarter of its 2004 revenue of $3.6 billion US, but accounting for more than half the operating profit.

Wendy's, which started as a single restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969, bought Timmys in 1995.

That aside, when we were in the Le Cellier a couple of weeks ago, we jokingly asked about a Tim hortons coming to where the Beavertails used to be. He said first, the beavertails left, because the ingredients required were too expensive, hmmmmmmm. Secondly, he said others have indeed suggested a Timmies, but so far no go. So, we ordered one of their frozen ice cappucinos, which is very thick btw. We had the most wonderful waiter, and my husband received a disney certificate for answering a number of hockey trivia questions. We had a great time, but so far, no Tim Hortons in Epcots future.

1st timer here. What you mean the Canadian section doesn't have a Timmy's??? Isn't that like a Candian icon?

Thanks for the warning I guess I know what I'll be packing ;)

OMG
What a great idea :flower: The only problem would be that I would have to visit epcot daily :rotfl2: :drinking1

What the heck could be expensive about Beavertails?!?! Perhaps there is a flour shortage in the Southeastern USA? Maybe a fryer-oil embargo? Or the sugar comes across the spice road from China (right over the Int'l bridge lol). ;) :confused3
