Who to get to do hair and makeup?

My brother is getting married on Valentines Day. I made appt for our hair to be done at the Grand Floridian beauty salon.

1. Has anyone ever gone there and knows if they do a good job?
2. If not, can anyone recommend anyone that would be resonable to come to the room?

I would NOT go there. I went there it is called the Ivy Trellis. They didn't have a clue how to do wedding hair. The gal that came to my room to do my make up was so nice and also fixed my hair. She said they (Ivy Trellis) are privately owned and operated.

There is a hair studio at the Yacht Club... it's on the outside by the pool, not too far from Beaches and Cream.

The Mandara Spa at the Swan or Dolphin does hair, too, I believe... someone else would be better able to let you know on that one.

I just used Anna from Beaute Especiale 2 weeks ago.
She was a doll and I tortured her with so many different ideas.

And then theres my anna at beauteespeciale.
Kind of confusing huh?
They are reasonably priced and they both work for MAC in orlando.
Highly recommend them.

I highly recommend hairbylisa. Lisa used to work for Disney cosmo. She came to our room & did DD (melmel's) & my hair & make-up. She was great & very professional. The first thing everyone comments on when they see the wedding pictures is how beautiful melmel's hair was. She is also less expensive than Disny cosmo would have charged before they discontinued that service.

I agree with evedein - I used Lisa for my wedding day & MK photo shoot. She did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to work with. She was cheaper than most and well worth the money for the relaxation on the wedding day. She is a nice & funny lady who also does alot of the celebrity work for Disney Events, so that tells you she is really good.

I recommend Lisa as well. She did my hair and makeup for our engagement photos. Don't blame her for the way the hair finally turned out....it was the silly humidity that got me in the end! =)

if you know the exact date and time you want to do this, just go ahead and book it NOW.

I agree with groomtb, if you have your wedding date set in stone, then book it now. No use waiting if the date isn't gonna change anyways. I didn't book her till later because i was waiting until disney fairy tale weddings had a list for me since they weren't going to do cosmotology for weddings anymore. But, Lisa is wonderful and not only will she do a great job for you, but she is so nice and funny that she will relax you. That helped me alot, i am a very nervous person and i was a wreck the morning of the wedding.

If anyone wants the cosmotolgy list Disney provides, I have it and can share. Just send a PM with your private email.

I called everyone on the list to see who I clicked best with. Remember, you want someone you get along with well and matched your personality. I found some of them to be difficult to understand becuase of accents, too high strung, too self involved, the bridal galleries on their website didn't suit my taste, etc. Be careful when choosing someone becuase this is the person you are trusting to make you look your best for one of your most cherished and valuable possessions as a couple...wedding photos.

It'll probably help her plan the schedule better. also ask about schedule trial runs

Lisa works with others, so 5 won't be a problem, there is 8 of us and she has said this is fine. Her prices are quite good, she is also sending someone out to the US27 to do my mother-in-laws and relatives hair.
