Who stuffs your stocking?

We don't stuff stockings around here!

DH stuffs my stocking and I stuff his and the kids (though he usually picks up one or two things for the kids too). He loves shopping for stocking stuffers.

I do one for DBF and he does one for me. My mom and dad do each others. My my mom does one for my single sis and my other sis and her DH do one for each other. Each of my DSis do them for their kiddos

Growing up we didn't have stockings, my parents & siblings came to Canada from Holland and they had the wooden shoes there not stockings so they didn't really understand the whole stocking stuffing. My kids always had a full stocking and still do, my DD (19) buys and stuffs all things for mine and DH's stocking. I received my first stocking 2 years ago, and I've been thrilled with how much thought she puts into it.

Dh does my stocking. I do his stocking and the kids' stockings. I love stockings! I do the dog's stocking, too! Every year Santa brings her 1 toy and 1 treat to eat.

It's funny. I do all of the shopping for the kids and dh doesn't have a clue what I get them. When they open their presents on Christmas morning, he is just as happy and surprised with the stocking stuff and whatever is under the tree as they are. LOL

I had never heard of adults having their Christmas stockings stuffed until this year on another mb. I know of no one IRL who does this.

You know how the candy wrappers end up all over the place, the dogs get into the nuts, which can't be good for their teeth, etc. At least that's our house.

My DH MUST have his stocking stuffed or he'll pout for months. It has to be done just right too, or else I'm not as good as his mother. He even has his special stocking that she gave him.

And the mess.

Stocking stuffing can be messy, but I don't do nuts with my stockings so at least I don't have that. I use toys as stocking stuffers as well. Easier to do because they take up more space.

We used to put oranges and apples in our stockings and some nuts...now it's all chocolate and surprises.

The fairies do it according to DD.

Technically, it's DH and I and we stuff stuff each others and our own if there is something we must have. We both get stuff for DD's.

My mom still does a stocking for me. It's my favorite part of Christmas, I can't imagine a year going by that she doesn't do it. And she still uses the one from when I was little.

Maybe it's a regional thing? My parents always did stocking for each other when I was younger. I love getting mine It's like a treasure hunt.

This will be the first year (I'm 28) that I'm not getting one from my mom and dad

Santa stuffs mine. I stuff DH's because he's so naughty, I think Santa just gave up on him . Santa also stuffs my DS(11) but I always sneak in a few "useful" items.

I do all the stocking stuffing for dh and the kids' stockings. I do a little of my own... some chocolate santas or little things I need, but dh always stuffs another little surprise or two in there for me.


As for adults getting stockings, my parents never had them when I was growing up. That is, until I decided they should. As a teenager, I bought them some stockings and started stuffing them myself.

I also started dh's family on adult Easter egg hunts. We put lottery scratch tickets or other little items in the plastic eggs. Why should only kids get all the fun?

I think stockings are the best part of Christmas. My husband and I stuff each others, Santa stuffs the kiddos stockings. After we come back from my parents and get the kids to bed, Santa comes and then my husband I enjoy the quiet of the house and go through our stockings together. It is a sweet moment for us and before all of the hullabaloo the next morning.

This year, my parents, sister and her husband, me and my husband are doing stockings instead of big gifts for each other for Christmas. We are all so excited and can hardly wait to open them. Everything is wrapped, so it should be fun! I can hardly wait, my mom is an excellent stocking stuffer! Just ask my husband who knows that she will give him his yearly Sports Illustrated Swimwear Calendar in his stocking - much to my dismay! All of the guys at work will be thrilled too!

That would be really funny. Do vegetables. A carrot, a zucchini, maybe a cucumber... filling AND healthy!

Santa fills my son's, but we let Santa focus on the children so we fill our own. We really love doing it.
