I just noticed that The Boathouse is now on the dining plan and we're going on the DxDP this December, soooo naturally we're back to undecided after months of back and forth and our 180-day opens tomorrow lol.

Currently, we had set:

1.) Jiko
2.) Narcoossee's
3.) Flying Fish
4.) Yachtsman
5.) Artist Point
6.) Monsieur Paul (First time)
7.) Victoria and Alberts' - Queen Victoria's Room (First time)

Who would you drop?

I like how you eat!

That's almost my line up for our 10 year on DxDP...minus MP because we went to Bistro de Paris and V&A because I am not that high of a roller!

As far as what to drop, I guess it depends on what you're planning on eating at those places. For instance, if you're planning on doing mostly steaks at all the places, perhaps Yachtsman might be redundant. If you're having lots of seafood, bail on FF or Narcoosees. Which restaurant is the farthest and most laborious for you to get to?

We just ate at the Boathouse on Tuesday night. I'm from Minnesota - love the tie to Lake Minnetonka. At the end - we sadly were not impressed. Wait... let me expand on this. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful setting, AMAZING Staff. But ... the food quantity I guess was a let down. Rarely do you hear this about American restaurants. Again, let me expand. Might just be the best cooked filet I've ever had ... but... that's it. Cooked amazing. BUT - there are not included sides, and the portions are pretty small. The 8oz fillet at $38 seemed normal for Disney prices (which normally have a side or two)... but that's it... just the meat. You want mushrooms --- I paid $12 for them! They are intended to be shared, buy my party didn't' like them ... just me. And all sides are to be shared at a premium price. It's really hard for the one asparagus lover to justify a $18 dollar plate of them. No option for a single salad or baked potato. My husband got the shrimp special - for $38. It included 3 THREE shrimp on a small salad which he didn't eat. Each little shrimp he ate was over $10!!!!!

I think they are too fancy for their britches. I think of Flying Fish. I pay these prices happily and walk away stuffed because they include sides. We were $178 in, and sadly we all left hungry!! Had to get ice cream.

I was SOOOO excited about this place, and while EVERYTHING we had was well cooked and tasted great - with the current menu we can't go back.

In order of drop:
Artist pointlessness
Flying fishwrap
Der Fliegende Yachtsman

It's a toss up on the last two I would actually replace one with Boathouse and the other with California Grill.

Boathouse does not strike me as expensive but we live in NYC so 10$ per shrimp is almost a sale price.
